Gorgeously decked out condo with amazing views year round. Take a shuttle directly from the property down to Sugar Mountain in the winter, or enjoy the mild summer days, breathtaking foliage in fall, and verdant spring hikes.

Minutes from Grandfather Mountain, Linville Gorge, Hawks Nest Mountain Tubing & Ziplining, Beech and Appalachian Mountain Ski resorts. Close to outlets, breweries, tons of shopping, local art, Tweetsie Railroad, downtown Boone etc. Seriously, this is our family’s HAPPY PLACE as there is something for everyone! My kids LOVE all the Gem Mining too!

Please NOTE: If you arrive during the winter months, it is at the top of Sugar Mountain, so we recommend four-wheel-drive or chains just in case. Safety first! If a snowstorm hits 4WD or chains are required when heading up the mountain to the condo.

Also, the pool is open for your enjoyment but on rare occasions it is closed for repair, cleaning, or maintenance. The owner has no control over this. Thankfully it’s almost always open and it is such a fun amenity.

Really liked the condo. Be prepared to park in an adjacent lot and take a shuttle on weekends. We only had to do that for 1 day then was able to park closer. Everything was there we needed. I do wish the bedroom and other rooms had ceiling fans

This was a beautiful place to stay. The views were amazing. accessibility to everything was amazing. Our teens walked in and loved it immediately. We rented our gear from a family run company called the highland house and they were again wonderful. Our teens took lessons at the slopes and were skiing within an hour. We will certainly be back.

The location and space of the condo was excellent. The mattresses were ild and squeaky. There was no way to turn on AC and it was a bit muggy some of the time. There was no shampoo or soap in one of the bathrooms. The biggest difficulty was communication and responsiveness with the host while there. The refrigerator temperature was way to high and we couldn't get it down so a good bit of food was spoiled. The host asked for a picture of the temperature, but we could not get the photo to send. No one came by to look at the fridge the whole time we were there and we spent a lot of time having to buy more groceries and eat out. The host did refund part of the spoiled food. We didn't have a receipt for the rest. She was not willing to do any more for us.

Charlyn stayed from Jul 10-12, party of 5. The condo was left in good condition. During her stay she reported refrigerator at 59F. We requested photo of thermometer reading and of discarded food. She stated she was unable to upload photo though cell and WiFi at the property is excellent. In essence no photos were provided. We attempted same-day service during Highland Games weekend, offered cooler and ice on us, and refunded $51.22 for reported food loss in good faith. At turnover the freezer measured -8F and refrigerator was operating normally and cooling. After checkout Charlyn requested additional $50 per day for inconvenience. This felt like a money grab. She alerted us of her issue Saturday and her check out was the following morning. We strive to make our guests happy but this felt like nothing would make them happy and they wanted a nearly free weekend.

Perfect Getaway

Love Staying Here!

This is the second year in a row we’ve stayed in this unit and both times have been a great experience. Even with 6 of us, there is still enough space for us to maneuver and be comfortable. The owner, Betsy, is so sweet and always responsive and we love the views as well as the amenities of Sugartop. We’ll definitely stay here again!

Weekend Trip to the Mountains with Kiddos

We had a great quick trip to Sugar Mountain. Unit was in great shape and beautifully remodeled. Owner had great communication and provided wonderful instructions for checking in and out. Lots of fun things to do around Sugar and kids had a blast!

Why they chose this property

This condo is recently completely renovated. The views are spectacular, there are two bedrooms to retreat to, a pullout couch, and a full kitchen to prepare whatever cuisine you desire!
