Welcome to “Banner Views”, our second home we rent to guests, referrals, and friends!
Nestled in the heart of downtown Banner Elk, Banner Views boasts amazing views of the valley, Sugar Mountain, and peak-a-boo views of Grandfather Mountain. This newly remodeled mountain cabin/duplex features, two bedrooms, two baths, and a loft. Amenities include an oversized front porch overlooking the valley and sugar mountain, gas fireplace, cable TV, wifi, brand-new TVs (3), granite counters, full-sized washer/dryer, and stainless appliances. A queen bed in each room, a queen sleeper/sofa and a single sleeper/love seat in the loft will accommodate up to 7 adults and a pack-n-play will take care of the infant or toddler. The cabin is nicely decorated and is a fantastic place for a family vacation, romantic getaway, or girl’s weekend.
The cabin is a two minute walk to 10+ restaurants in downtown, a five minute walk to Lees-McRrae College, and a quick 10 minute walk to Kettell Beerworks. Also a two minute walk is the local park, hosting live music on Thursdays in the summer, various art festivals throughout the year (including the inaugural Beerfest), and the famous Wooly Worm Festival.
We are nicely situated between two ski resorts; Sugar Mountain is 10 minutes one way and Beech Mountain is ten minutes the other way. Walk to local favorite Edge of the World for a second-to-none white water rafting experience.

The cabin was very clean and easy to find. We only used the MBR but the second bedroom upstairs would have been quite. There were plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely stay again.
Everything we needed for our stay was there. The cabin was really clean and the location was great. Our just checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed also. It was a great couple of days.
Our host, Brad was a great communicator! The place is charming, cozy and spotlessly clean! The autumn view from the deck was breathtaking! I highly recommend this gorgeous place!
We had a fantastic stay at Banner Views! The home was cozy, clean, and incredibly comfortable. The beds were great, the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, and the gas fireplace with the timer made evenings especially relaxing. The front porch was a favorite spot — peaceful and perfect for unwinding. The location is hard to beat. It’s an easy walk to the park behind Circle K and close to great local spots like Blind Elk Taproom, Be Scooped Ice Cream, and Replay Arcade. We also loved how convenient it was to drive over to Beech Mountain Resort for tubing and events. The family room was a perfect gathering space with a nice-sized TV, and the overall vibe of the house felt warm, welcoming, and safe. Even our dog settled right in.We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely stay again.
Great location as we were able to walk downtown in minutes. Partially renovated- master bathroom nice but kitchen dated with old appliances. Refrigerator needs to be sanitized. Dishwasher filter needs to be cleaned. Bedding (sheets and pillows) need to be replaced. Pillows old. Family room furniture a bit worn. Great front porch overlooking downtown. Potential to be an awesome cabin with a little more TLC.
Enjoyed our stay in this property close to lots of different attractions. The pictures are very accurate - rustic style with comfortable furnishings. Beautiful mountain view but also extremely easy to walk into Banner Elk for restaurants and shops. It's a great base for exploring the NC mountains. Would stay again!

We live and work in Raleigh but sneak off to the coast or mountains as often as possible (I'm a UNCW guy...she's an App State gal).
Why they chose this property
We toured properties all over the High Country. This was the ONLY place that was an easy walk to restaurants, had good views, and was convenient to the slopes.
