We had the best time! The cabin is very secluded, but it isn’t hard to locate. The hosts were so gracious with us and our dogs, everyone felt included and welcome.
We came here to get away of the daily urban life. We found exactly what we needed, a place so peaceful that you can hear only your own thoughts! Is very easy to find, yet so well hidden from the world. Thank you Michael for being so accommodating and welcoming.
We loved this cute little cabin. It’s was cozy and just we were looking for. We had a weekend to ourselves and our dogs and it was wonderful, we will be back. Cabin was clean and checking was very easy.
This cozy cabin was easily accessible and in a very beautiful, serene setting. It has all the amenities needed for an enjoyable stay. Mike, the host, was very helpful and accommodating. We highly recommend this cabin and hope to return for another visit soon.
Our family of four stayed at this cabin with our two dogs. The cabin is very secluded and offered everything we needed. The property owner was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.
Cabin is great with nice, quiet location. Recommend 4WD/AWD in winter to access. Host was so helpful and communication was timely and accurate. Will certainly return with 4WD!
Remote but yet close to attractions, shopping, restaraunts which was exactly what we wanted. Cabin was beautiful, peaceful and comfortable. Bed was firmer than what we are accustomed to but everyone has a personal preference. Host (Mike) was very helpful and everything was as described.
The cabin is nice and very well appointed and the surrounding property is astounding, especially if you are looking for a bit of quiet seclusion. Mike is a first class host. All of the instructions are clear and complete. Creekside is my first choice for a mountain getaway.
Great place, quiet beauty, well stocked. Owner available if needed. Will be back
Quiet, relaxing, you hear only the wind, the water in the creek and birds. Not far from Banner Elk with great restaurants. Great places to visit close by.
We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The forest is beautiful and quiet. Neighboring cabins are far enough away that you can't see or hear them. The location is convenient to Grandfather Mountain, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock, Boone and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We will stay here again if we are in the area.
The cabin had everything we needed and more! It was private and we really enjoyed our stay. Communication with the owner was really easy and it made the checking in and out process a breeze as well.
This stay was very enjoyable. Very secluded and quiet place to unwind from all of the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Micheal was very accommodating . Will definitely stay again.
This is our third stay at this property. We very much enjoy the serenity of the mountains and the location of this property makes us feel like we are the only ones around. Yet, it takes us only a few minutes to be in the heart of town - Banner Elk or Boone. The amenities are all provided and our family enjoyed relaxing, playing games, putting together a puzzle and exploring the property. We found a sweet church for Christmas Eve Services and had a rib roast for dinner made in the oven at the property! Thank you Mike for everything and we can't wait to come back in December of 2025.
Lovely secluded cabin. Enjoyed listening to the stream below that u could walk down to. Loved watching deer around the property. Comfortable bed, had everything u would need to stay

About the host
Hosted by Mike Burnette
My wife and I are recent retirees and now we split our time between the NC mountains and Raleigh.
Why they chose this property
We also have our private cabin on an adjoining 9 acre property next to Creekside, so any questions or otherwise we're only a couple of minutes away. We've been renting this cabin ourselves now for almost 15 years and probably half of our business is returning renters. One retired couple have rented from us in the summer months for 10 years, so we have a lot of clients that enjoy the privacy and location and return often.
What makes this property unique
Very private. Located between Boone and Banner Elk. Gated community of 200 acres with only about 25 cabins. Surrounded on 3 sides by US Parkland (Julian Price Park) and protected land owned by the Blue Ridge Land Conservancy. Property is at 3800-4000' elevation. Summers rarely get above 75-80 degrees during the day. Nights are cool and mosquito free. 15 minutes to Boone or Banner Elk. 30 minutes to Beech Mt or Blowing Rock. Winter skiing 10 minutes away at Sugar Mtn. or 30 minutes to Beech Mtn. Tubing 10 minutes just across the road at Seven Devils or Sugar.
