About this property

Largo Ranch - Amazing Mountain Views

The City Of Palm Springs ID# 2494

Few homes in Palm Springs offer the awesome, unobstructed mountain views that Largo Ranch House does. You’ll find it hard to leave once you unpack, settle in, and start sipping your favorite beverage, eating al fresco in the backyard, or simply relaxing poolside. The rambling backyard is super private with ample seating for all to enjoy the invigorating outdoor lifestyle of Palm Springs. There are six lounge chairs, two dining tables, including one with seating for six, and a brand new gas barbecue to get the vacation started.

Aside from the magnificent outdoor spaces, our home is fully equipped with all of the household conveniences you’d expect.

There are flat screen TVs in the living room, master bedroom and queen bedroom with cable, each TV is equipped with Roku for streaming all of your favorite shows.

Largo Ranch House is ideally situated on a quiet cul-de-sac that’s only a few minutes by car from everything Palm Springs offers. You’re less than five minutes by car from the chic Uptown Design District, downtown’s eclectic tourist mecca, and just one extra minute to the newly burgeoning East Palm Canyon Corridor of swanky bars, beach clubs, coffee and breakfast joints, and popular restaurants.

Swimming!
Our partial extended family had a great time at the property (grandma & 3 teenagers). The best part was the pool and yard. We stayed during a cold snap, so it was very expensive to heat the pool, but it was worth the money to be able to swim day & night (quietly due to noise ordinance). It was nice that the hot tub was close to the house; that made getting back to the house manageable in the cold. The yard was big enough for teenagers to spread out & have their own space (we still had to force them outside/off their screens), but their favorite part of the trip was the nearby escape room (they went 3 times). Bocce ball was great; we couldn't find the jack so improvised with a grapefruit. It was fun making lemonade from the lemons in the yard. We experienced only a few disappointments, which were all small things that could be improved upon for future guests/stays. For example, although the pots/pans/utensils/dishware were great, there were NO kitchen staples in the house. We purchased spices, salt, sugar, coffee, oil, etc. There were a few books, a card game, a few pool noodles, but not much else. We were disappointed that one of the hammocks was missing and there were no pool floats like the one in the picture. Luckily, I had brought some waterproof cards, a small waterproof football, some games, and a puzzle. We left the puzzle for the next guests. The batteries in the candles were dead, so we replaced those. The garage door was really stiff/squeaky, but we found some WD40 and fixed that. There wasn't enough toilet paper or paper towels left for the number of guests/length of stay, so we purchased those. There were no boxes of tissues in any room of the house, so we purchased Kleenex. There were a couple small hotel size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, & body wash, but not enough for the number of guests and length of stay. We brought our own shampoo/conditioner but had to purchase bar soap. There is a separate charge for not only pool heat, which is a standard extra charge and well worth the extra money, but also electricity which seemed like it should have been included in the high cost of the stay. The little things just added up to make us feel less supported in our stay. The minimal airplane noise didn't bother anyone but grandma, who is a light sleeper. I really enjoyed watching the airplanes/palm trees/stars from the pool; the planes woke grandma a few times. Overall, I give a rating of 4.5 stars; we would definitely stay again!

Nice but Tired
You know what they say? Don't judge a property by the pictures. Quite true. The photos were accurate but didn't really convey the general tiredness of the property. The furnishings were really out of date and the finishes and walls were chipped and dated. But the backyard--which was most important--was really nice. Beautiful dessert landscaping. The kitchen was very well equipped. All the appliances worked well. Let's do something about the awful microfiber poor-fitting bed linens, please!

Great hideaway
The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The mountain view are lovely and the yard is amazing! I've never had better communication and support at a vacation rental. They took care of any problems so quickly it was wonderful.

Very good
House was older, but very clean. Was like a Brady bunch house. You will find that you spend your time outdoors because the outdoor area is absolutely amazing. The pool was huge had a shallow and deep end. Plenty of room for multiple pool toys and also has lots of chairs to lay out on. Communication with the facility was excellent. They were very attentive and responded quickly. Overall a great stay and I would stay there again.

Amazing pool & large yard!
We were able to fully relax in this older Palm Springs home. The neighborhood is SUPER quiet, except for the planes taking off and landing at the airport, which we enjoyed watching all day. The home needs some TLC. There are carpet stains, and holes and scratches in the walls. The backyard carpet needs to be hosed off. We loved seeing the roadrunners, and other birds, and lizards in the backyard. The saltwater pool is large and warm. We appreciated the 3 large umbrellas poolside, along with the evening shade the trees provided. Having the Rokus set up with accounts already loaded on all three TVs were nice! Jerry, the property manager, was easy to contact and great to work with. I felt bad contacting him on the holiday, but he eased my concerns and worries. We needed a Roku remote and pool net. He dropped them off that morning! The barbecue works great. We loved having extra pool toys and floats. We enjoyed having a garage door remote as well. The home is close to restaurants and shopping. If you are looking for a stay (with kids) or a bunch of people, this is the place! The backyard is massive, relaxing and inviting! The home can easily sleep 8, more if kids are on the floor.
