The Twisty Maple House

Nestled in a valley in western North Carolina with beautiful views of Bear Wallow Mountain. We have aptly named this property "Twisty Maple" for the unusual tree that's become our namesake. Twisty Maple offers a home away from home with a personal touch. Run by family and friends, the house and grounds offer perfect spaces for vacations away or for hosting your most important occasions. This secluded and yet convenient to Asheville home is a little slice of heaven on 21+ beautiful acres.

Roam the spacious grounds and have coffee on your private large deck, as you watch the mist rise from the mountains. Watch the deer and wild turkey as you relax after a long day of hiking or exploring Asheville and it's many eclectic restaurants and breweries. Kick back and snuggle up in front of the fireplace when the weather gets chilly with a cup of hot cocoa.

We can accommodate 12 to 16 overnight guests comfortably. Parties of more than 12 will pay a $20 fee for each additional guests to cover extra linen and cleaning costs. All linens provided. Check-in at 4 pm, check out at 11 am.

A perfect place for a reunion!

From the early communication from Annette, to the fantastic vista out the picture windows this house was perfect for our seven person reunion. The property is beautiful, the house was immaculate, the beds were comfortable and we will be back !

Magical

This was our second stay at Twisty Maple, although there were more of us this time. Even though we had some cool, rainy weather, we agree we had an absolutely magical time. This is a gorgeous place, with a reasonable amount of privacy. We feel lucky to have found it, and are looking forward to our next visit.

We had a wonderful time celebrating a family birthday at Twisty Maple! The views and outdoor patio are fantastic. The kitchen is large a well supplied with anything you need. The towels are super soft. It’s a great spot to spend some quality family time together!

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful time at the Twisty Maple. The property is spacious and gorgeous, the view is breathtaking and the home is lovely with a fun eclectic vibe with lots of character, and tons of beds with clean and comfy bedding. Lots of seating for our group of 12 to spread out and hang out and we loved our time here. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Very impressed and we will be back!

Amazing view, thoughtful property manager

We had a wonderful stay here! Our group consisted of four families with young children, and we all found the rooms and beds to be incredibly comfortable and fitting for our needs. The view was amazing, and Annette was very thoughtful (putting outlet covers in before our arrival, providing pack n plays and a gate for the stairs). We would love to come back some day!

This is a place you'll make your go-to accommodations for when you visit Western Carolina. Nestled in the mountains, it offers a perfect place for gathering or for solitude. From booking through checkout, everything was flawless. Annette was great to work with and accommodated a couple small requests we had for extra folding tables, and the house easily host 13 adults for a weekend exploring Asheville for a bachelor party. Would absolutely come back!

Great Micro-Wedding Weekend

Serene get away

We feel very lucky to have gotten to stay at Twisty Maple. We brought our two children with us and they were overly accommodating with toys provided as well as some necessities, such as a pack and play and booster seat. Being there at Christmas was magical as they decorated the house perfectly. We could not have felt more at home.

Thanksgiving 2020

My family and I spent our Thanksgiving holiday here and had a great time! Annette warmly welcomed us and the house accommodated all of our needs. We cooked our traditional Thanksgiving meal there. The kitchen and dining room has plenty of space! Great memories for sure. We will be back!

Pictures do not do this lovely home justice. Beautiful secluded property in close proximity to Asheville, hiking, BR pkwy, etc. assuming you don't want to just bask in the serenity of this country estate! Annette was the consummate host, immediately responsive and attentive to our every request.

Magical Getaway

Twisty Maple was the perfect wedding venue

Everyone who was able to make it to our small wedding weekend was blown away by Twisty Maple. The view was gorgeous. The house was immaculate and the antiques were impressive.
