We were there for a wedding at the Homestead. This is a wonderful property, literally right across the road from the Homestead. It was a beautiful retreat away from all of that but minutes away from all of the amenities.Two couples were very comfortable, This property is spacious enough to have 6 or even more people. The property was very clean and equipped with lots of wares and supplies for a comfortable stay. There are board games and a big library of movies for those interested.The back porch a gem. It's wonderful in the mornings and evenings to sit out on, enjoy an amazing view over breakfast or a glass of wine.Would definitely stay again.

Lovely historic home!

My daughter and I had a wonderful time at this lovely historic home. It is convenient to activities at the Homestead and area hiking and shopping, but has plenty of privacy. We hope to return!

Hot Springs retreat.

This place was idyllic. This historic property was a little piece of heaven. Quiet, picturesque and peaceful. The home is beautiful, kitchen extremely well stocked, and it makes you feel at home immediately.

Hot Springs getaway

I stayed here with friends for a wedding at the Homestead. It was a great property with a really interesting history and amazing views. The porch and yard were perfect for a country getaway and the house is just a few minutes from the Homestead and downtown. The beds are very comfortable. Great place to spend a weekend.

Idyllic getaway

Fantastic views from the back porch. Quiet, private location, yet an easy walk into town. The kids loved the playroom! And the woodchucks and bunny rabbits provided constant entertainment.

Lovely and serene

Beautiful placid country home and property a minute away from the Homestead. Exactly as described in listing. Large and spacious yet warm and comfortable. Perfect for a family trip. Would definitely stay again, and probably will next year when we come to visit our local family.

Great weekend getaway!

Some friends and I had a great weekend hiking, swimming, bathing in the springs and visiting the Omni resort nearby. The new barn was a peaceful and pleasant country getaway in an amazingly beautiful setting. Just a note for summer travelers that there is no A/C, so the house can get quite warm even with windows open.

An absolutely delightful place.

We quite enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Clean and well equipped - warm and cozy with fireplace and wonderful selection of relaxing music. Mary was very helpful in answering all my queries. Would definitely come again and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

Virginia Family Getaway

The New Barn is the perfect place for a family getaway. We enjoyed reading and earning the history of the family and exploring the town of Hot Springs. The New Barn comfortably sleeps 6 with plenty of living area up & downstairs. The playroom in the barn is perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back in the future!
