Come enjoy the beauty of Emerald Isle in our BEACHFRONT home with a private pool!

10 bedroom, 6 bath home with private pool at the Point on Emerald Isle. The home is split into 2 duplexes so there are 2 family rooms, 2 kitchens and 2 laundry rooms!

(We previously only listed each side separately, so CHECK OUT our reviews on VRBO listing numbers 1290224 and 1298093.)

Located at the highly sought after area of the island called The Point.

We totally made over the house in 2018 including a new saltwater pool, quartz counter tops, bedding, appliances, paint, and flooring throughout.

NEW in 2024!!! We have built a boardwalk all the way to the beach. Now it is even easier getting all of your beach gear out to the water.

You will love the private walkway to the beach, deck overlooking a private pool, ceiling fans in every room, covered parking, Wi-Fi, and Smart TVs in every room.

NEWLY ADDED area to play cornhole and NEW enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water. (Added in 2021)

All new mattresses in 2022.

Spend your days on the largest section of the beach right out your door or relax in the private pool for a change before retiring into the spacious and beachy comforts that "The Rustic Peacock” has to offer.

Being at the Point offers the option to play on the beach, picking up shells or walk around the inlet and explore the Sound.

Emerald Isle faces south so you have unobstructed views of the SUNRISE AND SUNSET from your upper and lower decks!

Watching dolphins swim and play in the surf is another favorite pastime.

We had a great stay this year. Have rented @ 5 houses in Emerald Isle and this one is by far the nicest. Hosts were wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed to make it an incredible week at the beach. This end of the island "the point" is the most secluded, deer visited almost every morning.

The house was phenomenal and exactly what we needed for a family wedding. We had 16 people arrive for a wedding on the beach, and from arrival everything was perfect. The location is incredible. The hosts are responsive and helpful. The pool really helped make the week. We could not have been happier. Thanks for a great week and wedding for our kids.

The Perfect Point

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Rustic Peacock on the Point at Emerald Isle. The duplex was amazing - exactly as described with more amenities than we were expecting. Very homey! The views of the beach were so wonderful - a bit of a walk to get there, but the boardwalk was a great addition. We loved it!

Amazing week!

We had a fantastic week at the Rusty Pelican! Leann was super responsive up front, check in was a piece of cake. We had a large family and rented both sides of the unit, which worked out so well. We were steps away from each other and steps away from a lovely section of beach- very quiet and clean. The places were so well stocked including fresh dish towels and a sweet welcome gift. It was a warm week and the AC worked great and the pool was a lovely reprieve from the heat and sand. We have stayed at many places and this was easily one of the best!

Good summer vacation spot

We rented the whole duplex. It was nice to have the whole place to ourselves. Easy to communicate with property owner. It really helped to have a pool. This gave the kids time at the beach and at the pool.

Couldn’t have been better

This is the first time we have stayed in Emerald Isle. The location of this property couldn’t have been better for what we wanted wide quiet beaches. The duplex set up is perfect because we had so many people. We also had twowashers and dryers and two refrigerators. as well as more than than ample showers.

Perfect, relaxing beach stay great for family reunion

Leann was incredibly responsive. The houses were immaculate. Plenty of clean towels and kitchen supplies. Durable surfaces so we didn’t worry about having kids in the house. Well stocked with all of the beach items you might need. The pool was a huge hit with the kids and we had to “force” them to go to the ocean. Fantastic quiet location that was perfect for the comings and goings of our multi-generational group. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Multi family getaway

We spent this week with our immediate family in one side and our sister and her family in the other. We had bedrooms for everyone and with the new outdoor showers had plenty of showering space. To start with, the setting is absolutely gorgeous. I felt like I was in a Nicholas Sparks movie. The units had plenty of cooking and eating supplies and plenty of games, books and puzzles. The pool was enjoyed by both adults and children. Looking forward to another summer here.

Wonderful beach house!

We really enjoyed our stay at the property! We have a large family and rented both sides of the duplex which fit us nicely. The bathrooms are on the smaller side and it should be noted that there are no bathtubs. We have six children under the age of five who normally take baths. I wish we would have known that there were no bathtubs before booking. However, the house is beautiful, the owners are so sweet and we had an amazing trip!

Large family vacation

We recently had a 17 person family vacation. The Rustic Peacock was amazing and had everything we could have ever needed for the week. My only wish is that the listing would have said how much of a walk it was to the beach. We have stayed at Emerald Isle for over 20 years and didn’t realize the trio to the beach was so much longer and harder. A couple of our older guests couldn’t make it to the ocean. That may have changed our decision to stay here.

Great for Large Families

We just finished up a great week at EI with my extended family ages 2-88! The house was great for our stay allowing together time if you wanted it or the ability to separate as well. Many duplexes offer a connecting door to the other side- this one you must access via exterior door. The new boardwalk made getting to the beach much easier but it is a very long walk to the beach (400 steps each way). The distance to the beach did make it difficult for my 88 year old grandmother to access the beach but she enjoyed the pool and reading on the deck. The proximity to the point was great for the fishermen in our group! The house is fully stocked for any of your cooking needs. The house also features beach toys, beach chairs, and corn hole which was a super nice addition to not have to pack so many things! The owner was so easy to work with and made sure we had all the details for check in and check out making to a breeze!

Great place for families

We had our family gathering here in June 2022. The beach was fantastic and the pool was appreciated by all. We enjoyed all of the amenities provided for us such as pool time, corn hole, bocce ball, boogie boards, and beach chairs. We traveled from the Pacific Northwest so it was nice to arrive to a place that was fully stocked with games and equipment for beach fun. The house is well-maintained although previous renters had left broken shelves for the refrigerator - a minor inconvenience. The owner was very responsive when we requested additional pillow cases and they arrived within an hour. The rooms in the home were smaller than we expected but everything worked out. The beds were comfortable. The walk to the beach is considerable for folks that are not able-bodied. We rented a beach cart that was dropped off and picked up at the house. The cart made the daily walk to the beach for family members with kids much more doable. The beach was absolutely beautiful and great for families. We enjoyed being so close to the inlet for the shell hunters and fisherman in our group. We would rent The Rustic Peacock again and thought the owners were very nice to work with.

Very clean. Nice accomodations. The host was responsive. This duplex accomodated our family of 19 members. The houses were well stocked with paper products, clean linens and kitchen equipment. Beds were comfy, albeit firm. The pool was clean. The beach chairs were useful. The shallow, calm water at the Point was nice for the kids, although one must be aware of the rip tide. The walk from the dunes to the beach is quite long and difficult for those with mobility issues. Two in our group could not access the beach because of the distance to the oceanfront from the house. The wide beach was beautiful with very few other people.

Wonderful for a family reunion!

We recently rented both sides of the duplex for my family of 22 to celebrate my parents 80th birthday. We ranged in age from 10 months- 80 and every age in between. The set up worked so well! Having 2 kitchens and family rooms was wonderful. We spent so much time on the patios and at the pool! The beach is a long walk out, but we managed just fine. The house was really clean and plenty of bathrooms too. Would highly recommend it!

Great for extended family vacation

Can't say enough about how wonderful the Rustic Peacock was for our extended family vacation. The accommodations were super clean and comfortable. One more good beach week

We have been going to Atlantic Beach then Emerald Isle for over 40 years. The first time was in 1975 when we lived in Greenville NC. In 1976 we moved back to Tennessee, and did not go back until 1981. Since then we have gone every year. We have stayed in many places up and down the beach. This was our first time down on the point, and we loved the area. It was a little far down to the water, but most everyone made it every day - except me, but then I am almost 90 years old, and I made it one evening. The duplex was very nice, well kept and clean. The sleeping spaces were great for a large number. For us, the space for eating together and mingling was not quite as good as we have had in some other places, but it was not a great inconvenience. Response to a couple of little problems we had one with the pool filter and one with a commode was immediate and effective. LeAnn was great to work with. Overall, it was a great week in a very nice place.

Great location

Location is great. Both duplex units do have much more wear than pics show. Handrail for pool in 100 electrified and pulling breakers didn't stop the danger. For the price house should have been in much better condition. Landlords are great and added nice touched great surprises. Had three electric issues over the week which was a bit unnerving but I'm assuming these will be address over the winter.

Great Family Vacation!

We had a wonderful vacation week at the Rustic Peacock. The duplex set-up was perfect; we were able to travel back and forth with ease, which was important for my 95 year old mother and allowed her to be part of the festivities. The homes were well stocked with kitchen supplies, starter supplies (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.), and the welcome gift was very thoughtful. One concern was the home was not as clean as we would have liked upon arrival, however, once the owners were notified the problem was resolved. The location was great, but take note that for some there is a hike to the ocean.

Wonderful Vacation

We had a wonderful vacation! We had kids of all ages in our extended family vacation and everything was really great. The house was great and the owner was incredibly kind and caring. She was extremely responsive to any questions or needs we may have had. I will say that if you have really small kiddos or elderly people in your group, the walk over the dunes and to the ocean is incredibly long and hard. Older kids and adults can do it but just want you to be prepared. Our grandmother was unable to get to the beach this year and we were really sad. That had nothing to do with the house or owners though. Everything was wonderful!!! Lots of attentiveness to making sure the house had everything you could want and need. Thank you so much!!

Pros: The house is near the end of the island which was great as the beach was far less busy than the middle of the island seemed to be. Owners were very responsive to questions during the trip. House is clean with plenty of space for our large family. All the beach/ocean toys and kitchen items provided were a nice perk. Cons: although its beachfront, the house is a long walk to the ocean! The beach is very wide and there are several sand dunes to walk over as well.
