You have found the right place for that ideal vacation spot for a family or friends get-away! You have found the right place to create those special family memories in the Great Outdoors! We offer a unique 'top of the point' location with 393' of flat frontage for your family to unwind and have that one special vacation you remember from your childhood. Kids young and old can roam, swim, catch fish, and tell campfire stories on the sprawling 393' of frontage.

Stay in one of our beautiful summer rentals on beautiful Boniface Point. Our cottages are literally 'the Boniface Point', and perfect for your family vacation. Our property features nearly 400 feet (.62 acre) of FLAT lakefront frontage on Pine Lakes 1 and 2. Our location offers privacy, and seclusion from the rush of everyday living, with the feel of country living. Enjoy the picturesque and panoramic views of the lake from the cottage, deck, and elsewhere on the Point, while relaxing in the breeze. Kids (of all ages/sizes) will find ample room to roam, catch fish, and swim on our large lake lot. Bonfire pits at each cottage are ready for your campfire and S'mores making!

Due to our lot size and cottage combination, we can accommodate both small and large vacation groups, and have many families rent both cottages for a multigenerational vacation!

Accommodations (2) - separate billing
We have the Gladstone cottage - email for more information (page under construction) and the Astoria. The Gladstone is a traditional cottage (1300 sq/ft) with wood floors and an outstanding view of the water. It has three bedrooms, one bath, a large dining room, and large kitchen.
We are also happy to rent to you the newly restored and modern "Astoria" cottage. Astoria is an approximately 1000 square foot rancher with three bedrooms and one bathroom. Everything was brand new as of 2018, as cottage was remodeled down to the interior wall studs, floors, etc. The cottage is very cozy and comfortable for a romantic trip for two, or large enough to accommodate your family and kids!!

Big Cottage Stay
Overall, the property did not appear as the VRBO photos because the listing lists 2 properties and all photos but 3 are of the other property. If you want a cabin experience, then this is what you are looking for. The fire pit area is sloped so it was uncomfortable to sit around. There are outlets that don't work and the dining room light, ceiling fan and living room fan/light are on 1 switch so unable to turn off the light in the dining room and still have the fans on. The use of allergy free detergent should be used because my daughter has allergies as she broke out considerably from the detergent on the sheets/towels. There are many cracks/gaps in floor in which you can get hurt. Kitchen was stocked well with the exception of regular bowls for cereal (only 5) and there were 6 of us. Stability of the decks was scary and there was no handrail on the set of 3 steps. There isn't a great "yard" to use as the 2 properties have to share the flat space (no real division of space for each property). Whomever is renting the pontoon should dock at their properties dock as to not disturb the other property. The use of the raft seemed to be for only the one property as it was tied to that dock. There was no instruction of the use of the kayak/rowboat as we were not certain that we could use it. There was no instruction list for rental checklist of what needed to be completed upon arrival/departure. Living room step in too large. Tub handle should be updated. Cleaning fee is high.

Great lake play area
If you are planning a family reunion or large holiday gathering this is the place for you. Larger cabin has a huge dining table and room for several kids’ tables. Point lot offers great views and lots of shoreline to share between two houses. Larger rustic cabin has 2 walls of sliding doors to take in the view. Cabins are located where a small channel enters the larger lake and the boats go right past the docks - lots of fun to watch. If you have older guests joining you, plan for them to stay in the smaller renovated cottage (the photos online are of this cottage) - it has a level lot where the larger cabin has a uneven small slope to the water and some entry/exit stairs. Smaller cabin has no stairs and level walk out of cabin and to the outside gathering spots and dock. Bigger cabin: We were first renters of the season. Interior was clean and spacious. Outside decks and seating areas were still being spiffed up for visitors after a long winter.

Great Vacation!
The property has a great waterfront. We were fortunate the weather cooperated all week which allowed us to take advantage. There is a nice swim platform, pier had room for our boat, and fishing off of pier was reasonably successful. The house was clean and functional. My family had a great time. I will rent again.

About the host

Hosted by Fred Reynolds

Host profile image
Fred and Sue purchased the propery in 2007, and have enjoyed spending their time bringing the property back to life. They have four children, and enjoy coaching and participating in the many activities that having young ones entails!

Why they chose this property

Pine Lake has that 'Up-North Feel' while still being close to Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. Our property is at the end of a private drive, and is surrounded by water on three sides. Our .6 acre level lot contains 392 feet of private frontage and plenty of room to spread out.

We purchased this property for these reasons as well as the fact that it is a flat lot -- that is, there are no steps to walk down to get to the water.

What makes this property unique

Privacy! We are the last lot at the tip of the Point. We have privacy fence all along the back of the property, offering isolation from the neighbors and street.
