Owners were charming and friendly however the accommodation was quite the worst we have ever seen. Most of the work seemed to have been done as DIY but to appallingly low standards. Whilst efforts had been made to decorate no cleaning seemed to have been carried out. The cooker hob was still soiled from previous use and all light switches were unclean. Interior of drawers in kitchen were soiled and in our opinion thus unfit for use. Whilst the shower was effective, because of poor finishing it was hard to clean, and thus appeared worse than it was. Had any alternative accommodation been available we would not have stayed. All in all, very sad, for the large garden was interesting and efforts had been made to provide activities for guests. Bed linen and towels were clean but the whole place needed a deep clean.

A most vindictive review that bears no resemblance to Any previous reviews.
A rather strange couple to say the least!

A lovely homely place with everything you need
We spent 10 days here with our two young boys and loved it. The owners are very pleasant indeed; on hand if we needed anything but otherwise they were very discreet and you don't really notice when they are around.
The gardens and private patio were lovely to sit in for a quiet day, which was great during the heat wave, and plenty to do in the area for days out.
The weather was spectacular whilst we were there so our boys were particularly impressed by the small pool to cool off in.
The property seemed more spacious than the photos on the listing.
A very enjoyable stay.

We created the gardens from nothing over a quarter of a century. We love them, just hope you do too. Peter.
