About this property
Beautiful, large relaxing holiday home set in beautiful rural Basse Normandy
Le Petit Verger is a beautiful, cosy cottage that comfortably sleeps 6, located on the outskirts of the friendly village of Céaucé. It is perfectly situated for exploring the Normandy region of France. It is within easy reach of the historic, pretty medieval town of Domfront. The D D ay landing beaches are an easy 90 minutes drive and the spa town of Bagnoles de L'Orne is about 20 minutes away.
As owners we have tried to think of everything to make Le Petit Verger a perfect destination for our guests. The property has recently been redecorated throughout and is full of special touches to make you feel at home. The open plan design of the ground floor creates a light and airy feel, and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need. If you don’t fancy cooking, there are numerous places to eat in the nearby villages / towns of Saint Fraimbault, Passais La Conception and Domfront.
At the end of a long day spent exploring you can settle down in the comfortable sofas or enjoy a drink on the terrace or relax by the fish pond, watching the sunset over the private garden. Sun loungers are provided as well. There is a BBQ grill in the garden as well, perfect for making the most of the evening sunshine. For those with a little more energy outside games such as table tennis and badminton are available to enjoy. The stars at night are well worth staying up to see, and there is a great variety of bird life.
The lounge has a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, French television channels, DVDs and there is also free WiFi so you can plan your next day’s adventures. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one bedroom and bathroom are located on the ground floor so perfect for anyone who may have mobility issues. Upstairs are two further bedrooms, a shower room and a games room which is suitable for children and adults too. All bed linen and towels are provided, leaving more packing space to take home some of the delicious local delicacies such as local farm made ciders and of course the famous Normandy cheeses.
Private parking is available on-site and the owners are easily contacted.
Flers is 22 miles from Le Petit Verger, while Mayenne is 15 miles away. The nearest supermarket is Intermarche in Domfront, a short 10 minute drive. The village of Ceauce also has a very well stocked village store, a bar, pizza takeaway, bakery, pharmacy and two butchers.
