Bungalow Oaks - Steps from Historical Main Street

Two-night minimum/Four-night maximum.
Built in 2018 as a “guest house/dream come true” next to our main residence. We are located at 335 College Hill Drive one block from Main Street. Short walks to restaurants, a popular creekside microbrewery and convenient to shops and local eateries. Our Bungalow Oaks has an attached carport, and the main room has a king-size bed next to a massive antique armoire. A separate bathroom with a walk-in shower and antique vanity has all the privacy of home. The coffee bar has a small refrigerator, an ice maker, a pod-type coffee maker and a microwave. For morning and evening relaxation there are two oversized rockers on the back porch for bird watching and deer viewing along the dry creek below.

We loved our stay! The bungalow is cozy, comfortable, and clean. Very well-designed and well-stocked with comfortable bedding, soft oversized towels, snacks and water. Ideally located close to restaurants and shops, yet still very quiet and peaceful.

"Best Kept Secret" Getaway

This little Bungalow is absolutely everything it claims. My wife and I use to manage our own 5 star VRBO property for 12 years until we sold it, but wow these folks have it dialed in. The back deck view of the creek bed and wildlife makes this place simply amazing..

Peaceful Retreat

This beautifully decorated cozy retreat is just as described in the listing. It is very clean and comfortable. The owners are friendly and available, but provide plenty of privacy for your stay. The back deck is amazing and a great place for pictures. The blueberry muffins are delicious and such a welcoming touch!

Charming Bungalow

We loved this place. It was spotless and had everything we needed and more. The view from the balcony is beautiful. We enjoyed watching the deer. Close to Main Street. We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay!!! Thank you for the muffins, coffee, snacks, and water. We were with in walking distance of Salado! It was perfect for my husband and I! We even enjoyed opening the doors and listening to the rain! We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend!

Property is very nice, clean and well kept. Decor was also very nice. We only encountered one minor issue. The shower lost water pressure. Other than that, a perfect, enjoyable time!

Perfect get away place!

This property is emaculate! . So beautiful! All the little extra touches did not go unnoticed! Such a nice place to retreat too! Hosts are attentive and respond quickly! The bed is awesome! The decor is so cozy feeling! The blueberry muffins were delicious. The location to historic downtown was a bonus! The porch was our favorite thing!! Just beautiful.. All of it! I can’t say enough good things about this place. We will be back!!

Perfect Bungalow Stay

We needed a place to stay close to the Salado downtown action for my 50’year HS reunion. This was perfect as all the activities were literally just around the corner! Beautifullly decorated with country chic style and having a nice deck to sit with morning coffee to look over the creek and nature! Saw deer and some fun vultures, I think:). The owners gave some nice touches with plenty of cold bottled water, a Kerrigan machine with a nice mix of coffees plus four grand blueberry muffins from a local bakery. We could not have been more pleased with the bed as it was soft but supportive for our tired bodies after the reunion activities! We definitely recommend a stay here if in Salado. My husband said multiple times, “wow, you made a great choice of where to stay”! The microwave and small fridge helped with all our needs.

This little bungalow was amazing! My daughter and I enjoyed it so much! We got to watch the deer in the back on the creek in the mornings with a cup of coffee. It was just beautiful!

Relaxing stay

The location of this bungalow was perfect! The atmosphere was so relaxing and I wanted to stay longer. The hosts are next door but not intruding at all. They thought of everything to make our stay the best! Morning coffee on the porch was amazing!

Stayed in this precious bungalow while in town for a wedding. Pictures do not do it just how relaxing and quaint and well thought out every detail is. The rocking chairs on the back porch with the complimentary muffins and coffee, while watching deer and cardinals was not something I ever expected, and it was amazing!!

Great place, wonderful hosts

Pictures can't really capture how comfortable and cozy this place is. We really enjoyed the solitude and just hanging out on the porch watching the birds, deer, et al. These hosts have thought of EVERYTHING and were very kind and responsive. The ice maker is a huge bonus!Highly recommended!
