Great place to stay for family attending the Whitman College graduation. A little too far to walk to campus, but a beautiful and spacious home in a lovely neighborhood.
We loved the house and deck. We walked to downtown Walla Walla easily. All the tulips and trees were blooming.
The four bedrooms were perfect for 4 woman that need their privacy.
This historic home is beautiful inside and out. It has very nice furniture and a well stocked kitchen. It’s located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood and has lots of nice little touches - like a free bottle of local wine - that make it a special place. This home is the perfect base to visit the many wonderful wineries in Walla Walla. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
Our stay was absolutely perfect! The owner is super easy to work with and answers questions in a timely manner! The house was clean, just as described, and we’d stay there again in a heartbeat! The house is actually bigger than the pictures suggest. I forgot something when we left, and the owner is shipping it to me! Just an all around fantastic experience! You won’t be disappointed!! My husband and I rented this charming house for a weekend in October with two other couples. The house was very well equipped with all essentials. There are cute little seating areas for some quiet time, a fully fenced yard for the dogs, and great entertaining spaces as well. The bedrooms are spacious and so cozy, and the house has three full bathrooms. Location is walking distance to downtown. We loved getting up early and taking the dogs on long walks around the town. The host was so easy to get in touch with and the instructions were all very clear. We had no issues at all and we had a truly lovely stay.
PROs: Renovated old house with lots of character and great detail. Roomy fenced yard, great for dogs (we ended up not bringing ours). Quaint neighborhood, ample driveway street parking. Very roomy for three couples (a 4th bedroom is available, but single beds). Each couple can enjoy privacy (bedrooms/ bathrooms on 1st & 2nd floor, and basement). Cool fireplace.CONs: My mother-in-law commented on cleanliness, which I noted can be an issue with most dog-friendly older houses. 1 mile to downtown, which could be an enjoyable stroll, but it mostly rained during our stay. Located on fairly loud street.Bottom line: We'd stay again if bringing our dog. Otherwise, we'd want to be closer to downtown wineries/ restaurants.
Our family came from across the country for a wedding. The 7 of us were very comfortable at the home. With bedrooms and bathrooms divided across 3 floors, we had ample privacy. It was wonderful to have coffee and wine available upon arrival. The back porch also provided a great outdoor social space. We would definitely highly recommend! Just two notes: The AC system is uneven, so the basement is cold, the ground floor is comfortable, and the upstairs is quite warm; in addition, the shower in the basement is built in such a way that the ceiling inside the shower is very low, making it a bit awkward for anyone over 5’6”. Despite these “old house” quirks, it is a lovely home with very responsive hosts!!!!!!!!
The four of us are retired geology professors who enjoy wine and golf and good food, and this home has great access to all three. Very clean and well maintained home, this is a classic craftsman from the early 1900's with lots of beautiful hardwood and trim throughout.
The home has four bedrooms (plus room for additional sleepers) plus a full bath all levels (three total) - comfortable beds and lots of outlets for everyone's charger habit. Kitchen was well appointed with all the modern conveniences, and there is a back deck, patio, and yard with gas grill (was too chilly for us this time).
It's maybe a mile's walk to downtown. The neighborhood is full of similarly well kept period homes - I think we also hit peak flowering dogwood time as there are beautiful old and large flowering dogwoods all around this neighborhood and beyond. Quick and simple access to both the southside and eastside/airport wineries.
We hope to be back!
This vintage house made for a wonderful get together for 3 couples. The fully stocked kitchen was easy to cook in, and having a bathroom and bedroom(s) on each level gave us each our own floor. Walking through the neighborhoods to get to the park and downtown area was one of our favorite things. Great location!
Rosanne was a perfect host. The property was perfect for our needs. We walked to downtown every day for breakfast. Close to a great park with an aviary. Communication was perfect. All you could hope for in a VRBO
Great home in a walkable to downtown location. Perfect for a group of fiends of family. Hands down the best equipped kitchen we’ve ever had in a VRBO. Loved the patio area- beautiful, relaxing spot for a glass of wine.
We loved our first visit to Walla Walla. Lovely craftsman home in a great, town. Whike we did not have a large group, this house has lots of room for people if needed. Great communication. We will be back.
Girls weekend was just right at this beautiful home. Lots of space both indoor and out. Close to food and activities. Quiet neighborhood and off street parking.
Modernized house w great open kitchen/dining/living room layout.Kitchen very well equipped w all appliances and comprehensive seasoning and cooking needs.Note: the “basement” is very spacious and cool. Best for shorter folks as the tub/shower combo is barely 6 feet from floor of tub to ceiling. Utilizes a handheld sprayer.Overall an excellent value and location
We are 4 best friends for decades who seek a rendezvous location every couple of years. We hit the Jackpot with this charming home in the heart of Walla Walla! It was like walking into our Grandma's home! The open central kitchen and large dining table was perfect for sharing dinners and catching up. With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms we had privacy yet plenty of central space for gathering. The host is an amazing communicator! Each time I texted she was very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed morning walks to nearby Pioneer Park -- gotta love that! The kitchen is very well stocked and the TV room downstairs offers plenty of cozy seating and a game table. We absolutely enjoyed every minute of our stay! This home would be great for a family or even two with it's three levels, patio with barbecue and just a minute or two to downtown shops and restaurants. We will keep this charmer at the top of the list for our next getaway.
This is a lovely multi level home. Very clean and host accommodating during check in process. Well furnished kitchen and cooking utensils. Would recommend this home.
This home was everything as described. There is so much space and the home is stocked with many necessities. The homeowner was incredibly easy to work with and is very accommodating. I would love to stay there again!
What a great house! We have a daughter that goes to college in Walla Walla and this was the perfect location for us. This house was FULLY loaded with everything you could need especially in the kitchen. Very easy check-in and check-out process. Would definitely rent again.

I am the new owner of Casa Cavatappi and will be providing the same amenities and services as the previous owners. I love to cook and entertain friends. I've also been known to indulge in a glass of wine or two (only red!). I loved Casa Cavatappi the minute I stepped thru the front door. The open floor plan, wonderful kitchen, cozy spots for reading, and a deck footsteps from the kitchen. It is the perfect home for enjoying life.
Why they chose this property
Several years ago my parents and I visited Walla Walla as my Dad was born and raised here. We visited his childhood homes, went to spots where he spent time as a child, and visited the cemetery where his ancestors are buried. I loved everything about Walla Walla and decided to retire here. There is great food, wineries, friendly people, a vibrant downtown, unique shopping and music. All this in a small town was quite a find!
What makes this property unique
The character of the home preserves a way of life; it is about taking time and enjoying life fully.
