Accommodations were wonderful for our group Of 6. Great working kitchen. Not sure we could’ve ever slept 10 in here but wonderful gathering area with magnificent views. Was exactly what we were looking for.

We are so glad that you enjoyed the kitchen and the view. Your group of six used the three main bedrooms. If you stay with us again with a larger group, we have the additional twin beds in the downstairs bedroom and the pullout queen bed couch in the living room, which brings the total to 10!
A great place for a family reunion in a incredible house. The location is perfect with easy access to Acadia’s Schoodic district bike paths and loop road. I would definitely come back.

We are so glad Luis enjoyed his stay and took advantage of the great trails near the house.
We hope he returns.
We had a great stay! We spent most of our time in Bar Harbor which was about an hour away, but when we were in the house, we had a great time! Everything we needed was in the house and the views were insane! We loved being able to all stay at one house! We ate at the treehouse nearby the house and it was delicious too! Can’t recommend this house enough! The owners were very responsive too!
As a first time visiter to Maine, this property offered a perfect gateway to the state. It's a great home for a group of friends to spend a few days relaxing - great privacy from the tourist crowds in Bar Harbor without being too far removed from the action. Cleanliness and accommodations were first-rate, and we particularly enjoyed the beautifully-equipped kitchen for making family-style dinners each night. Perfect to eat on the deck and watch a beautiful sunset. Would stay again.

We are so glad that Matt liked the house as much as we do. Look forward to hosting him again.
Stunning views and beautiful landscaping! The wild blueberries and blackberries were a delight for the kids. It was fun for all ages (infant to grandparents). We rented bikes and rode on the carriage paths in Acadia. Plenty of room for everyone. The rocky beach is a bit tricky to explore for grandparents but the kids loved it. After staying in busy Bar Harbour for a few days, it was very pleasant to enjoy the quieter side of Acadia.
Kevin and Sonia are excellent hosts! We had no issues during our stay, but Sonia still checked in to see if we needed anything and to make sure everything went smoothly! The pictures do not do this place justice as it is even more peaceful and stunning in person. We stayed here for my dads 60th birthday and it was incredible. Quiet secluded area in a small town with everything you need. So close to Acadia national park.
Thank you Kevin and Sonia!

This home was the perfect place to get away with the family ... beautiful east-facing views, far from the busy-ness of Bar Harbor, yet close enough to visit. Loved the peacefulness of Birch and Winter Harbors. The house had everything you could possibly need and Kevin was quick to answer any questions a/o needs we had. My family loved our Maine vacation, made so much better because of this home. THANK YOU!

We are so glad that Kim and her family enjoyed their stay. They were great guests.
We stayed for a work offsite and we all enjoyed the privacy and views that come with this property. While there are no grocery stores close by, we brought enough food for two meals a day and we went out to local restaurants for one meal per day.
The home is large and well stocked with everything you need to make your own meals. You are within one mile of Acadia National Park and your walk there is along a beautiful Maine coastline.
Communications with the homeowner were easy and they made certain that we were happy with our stay.
Truly the ultimate Maine vacation rental. Located close to Acadia National Park, and a short drive to Bar Harbor, this amazing home is the perfect getaway. The house itself is exactly as pictured in the photos - spacious and clean, with an irreplaceable view of the Atlantic Ocean. Down a long driveway, there are no visible neighbors, just an occasional lobster boat hauling traps out front and the sounds of the ocean and sea gulls. We will miss the soundtrack of the waves crashing on the beach as we leave this beautiful property. Truly an unforgettable vacation home.

We are so glad Edward and his guests enjoyed their stay. We hope they will come back next year. Thanks for the suggestions, the wine glasses Indeed have all been broken and need to be replaced!
We absolutely loved our stay at Birch Harbor. The views are incredible, the cathedral ceilings in the house are beautiful, it is well equipped with things to do (pool table, fooseball table, fire pit on beach). It took around 80 minutes to get to Cadillac mountain, 60 minutes to get to Acadia in general. But we actually liked this area more than Bar Harbor as it was more remote, less toursity etc, and Schoodic point (5 min away) was one of the prettiest sites we saw on the trip, and wasnt crowded with tourists like the main Acadia area was. There are also biking trails and walking trails in the local area, where we saw a deer and porcupine, again way less crowded than main Acadia area. So if you dont mind the drive to the main sites, and want a peaceful remote beautiful stay this is a great place! Of note, the beach is rocky, which older kids collecting rocks may love, but young kids would not be able to run around etc (which is pretty clear by the photos). But there is a sand beach nearby.
We loved this house!! Just how we wanted to end our 10 days in Maine! The house is gorgeous, the view and the location are spectacular! It was definitely on the higher priced side. As an owner of high end rental properties we always make sure to have the best cooking supplies. We needed some more pans, the ones supplied weren’t awesome. We couldn’t figure out how to use the grill. Other than just a few minor things the house was great, but for what we paid, for me to give it a full 5 star it would’ve had to been perfect. If you are looking to get away this house is exactly what you want! The kids loved being on the rocks. The Pickled Wrinkle has great food and Schoodic Pt is gorgeous! You are about an hour from Bar Harbor but we didn’t want to me in the busy part so the location for us was magical! Bring bug spray! The mosquitoes got us! 😬

Response from VrboOwner on 26 July 2022
Overall, we are glad Teryl’s group loved the house.
We strive for “excellent” which is VRBO’s equivalent of FIVE stars and are glad to have a 5/5 rating on 30 Reviews. Teryl believes FIVE stars means “perfect” and rated the house at FOUR accordingly.
The Guest Book has detailed instructions on grill operation, including how to turn on the gas, and we responded to Teryl’s in-visit question about the gas turn-on. We are sorry that the All-Clad cookware set did not meet Teryl’s expectations, but we appreciate the point about the number of pots and pans and plan to add more.
Great place for gathering and seeing Downeaster coast
A very beautiful, large and comfortable home right on a spectacular strip of the Maine coastline. We enjoyed the beauty and comfort of this place. We brought the family together and we all had a great time. Large kitchen was super for cooking and enjoying. A beach campfire in the evening was a fantastic way to spend time with loved-ones.
This is an incredible property in so many ways. The home is about 15 years old but has been well maintained by it's owners.
It really feels quite new. The kitchen is fit for gourmet cooking with all the best appliances and cooking utensils. The location on the coast of Maine's Schoodic Peninsula is remote but a wonderful ferry ride away from Bar Harbor if you want to shop. Our host Kevin responded to all our questions immediately during the stay. We would have loved to stay longer.

Spacious, modern, well equipped house in secluded location near little-known part of Acadia National Park. Beautiful views of Bunker Harbor. Great hiking and biking. One hour drive to Bar Harbor/main portion of Acadia National Park not so bad - we did it twice. There is a ferry but it was not running when we were there. Not many open restaurants nearby but easy to get fresh lobsters and seafood; lobster rolls. Don’t fret about the internet; it works well enough. Highly recommend!

Very welcoming house perfect for a multigenerational stay.
The house was perfect for my family of 5 plus a set of grandparents. So much space to spread out and being on the water was amazing. We enjoyed everything this house has to offer inside and outside. Being close to the quieter side of Acadia was ideal and the small town was charming. Kevin and Sonia were very helpful and easy to work with. Thank you!

This is a wonderful house in a very special part of Maine. The property is nicely secluded so the only noise you hear is that of lobstermen pulling out of the harbor to retrieve their catch of the day. Within a short drive are some of the most stunning scenic views and great hiking and biking trails. This was a welcome and exceptional variation from our Midwestern home. The home is great, and fights not to be upstaged by the spectacular surroundings. Wonderful experience for us.

Everything about the house was amazing and furnished above and beyond in any other I’ve stayed. Location is very nice I gave it a 4 because my lack of research so Kevin I apologize for that but want others to understand where it is vs where things are to do. We made the roughly 1hr drive to bar harbor every day and don’t regret any of our trip. We appreciate your hospitality and lovely home for us to use.
Amazing property in an unbeatable location. You will not regret booking this one.
We booked this property for a multi-generational family get-away to celebrate our daughter who graduated from College during COVID. We wanted her to feel celebrated because she did not get an in-person graduation. This location worked like a charm. My 85 year old mother and I enjoyed "plein air" painting from the gazebo with the gorgeous view. The graduate herself spent most of her days on the smooth granite rocks along the shore. We brought our bikes and my husband led a group around the Schoodic Peninsula trail which is breathtaking!! The house is actually located on the Schoodic bike trail which is much nicer than some of the more populated parts of Acadia. The scenery rivals any other in the world. At days end we congregated in front of the two-floor granite fireplace and played games or read books. The kitchen is perfect for larger families, plenty of room for more than one chef at a time. The owners have been very responsive to each question that has come up and always communicated quickly. I highly recommend Kevin and Sonia's home for your next Maine getaway. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

We are so happy that Catherine and her family had such a good experience and love Schoodic as much as we do. Kevin and Sonia
We absolutely loved our time at Kevin and Sonia's property. The house was even more spectacular than the pictures portray. Kevin was great with answering all my questions prior to our trip, as well as when we arrived. The Kitchen was a chef's dream and had two sub-zero refrigerators which was amazingly helpful for our group of 10. Two of the days we drove to the Bar Harbor area (approx 1 hour 15 minutes away) for hiking in the main part of Acadia, but we saved the best for last when spent the last day hiking the Schoodic Peninsula which is literally right down the road from the house (and so much better than Thunderhole). We had happy hour in the gazebo/beach below the house each evening and it felt like we were the only ones there ---- so quiet and peaceful. Would stay here again in a NY minute -- it was just amazing!
