Another awesome week in Marco

We have been coming to Marco for the past 10 years and know the area very well. I’m telling you the Somerset building and this unit is the absolute BEST location you can get on the island. We have stayed here multiple times and each time the owner, Donna, has been excellent. You cannot go wrong with this unit

Thanksgiving Beach Trip

Beautiful condo with all the amenities. Gorgeous Gulf views. Added bonus are all the beach, chairs and umbrellas available for usage. Will definitely visit again when in Marco Island

Condo was perfect for us! Literally steps from the beach with plenty of chairs and umbrellas as well as bikes to use. Close to restaurants and grocery stores as well. Unit was updated beautifully

First visit to Marco Island

The condo is clean and everything we expected. There is close proximity to the beach and pool and the sunsets were amazing every night. It was our first visit to Marco Island, but definitely not our last! Donna, thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!

Simply Perfect!

This was our third trip to Marco Island with our kids, third time staying at Somerset, but first time staying in this unit. This was, by far, our favorite unit! The location with the stairwell right off the balcony to the pool and beach was super convenient. The unit was immaculate and beautiful. We had a couple random issues arise while we were there and the owner was super responsive and great about taking care of it promptly. Next time we return to Marco we will return to this property.

Felt like home....

We've stayed in the Somerset building for almost 10 years and in several different units. Donna was great to work with from the beginning and the unit met and exceeded our expectations - beautifully decorated and designed for comfort and relaxation. We are both still working and have found the setting perfect to connect and produce for our jobs remotely and still have the sense of retreat and relaxation. Being able to work directly with the owner is a definite plus and not to be taken for granted. We look forward to our next stay.

The perfect family vacation spot

Donna, as we sit hear packing up and reflecting on another wonderful week on Marco; our family just wanted to say a big Thank You for opening up your home to us this week. We’ve been coming to Marco for several years and your place is by far the best we’ve ever stayed in. A beautiful condo in an AMAZING location. The property is tastefully renovated, location is fantastic directly on the 1 st floor with private entry to the beach. Only downfall was floor was dirty upon arrival and private cabana is actually a shared cabana between a few units. Plenty of equipment in the cabana to share but with Covid we were apprehensive of sharing items . 4/5 the unit is beautiful locations spectacular and owner is splendid to work with. We will definitely return next year and recommend this unit

Beautiful setting

Property is gorgeous Very family friendly. 2nd bedroom door wouldn’t latch. It’s BR shower head disconnected from wall but still worked fine. Same with toilet paper holder. Smoke alarm battery was dead and no replacement found in condo. These are easily fixed issues and in no way compromised our stay or enjoyment. Overall a gorgeous property and beach.

Excellent Beach Condo

Stayed at Somerset Condo 113 last week and enjoyed our stay. Marco's beach is terrific (huge) which is why we decided to stay here. Condo is clean and functional. Donna (the owner) is very responsive and wants her guests to enjoy themselves. Two small complaints. The cabana which stores the bikes and beach items is actually shared with a few other units (which we weren't aware of) so when we went to use the bikes, they were already in use by others. Also, bed pillows not comfortable so we had to make a Walmart run and buy our own pillows. Still enjoyed our stay and would recommend this unit to others.

Great location

We had a great vacation but not sure what we paid makes sense given some shortcomings. Towels and bedding were of questionable cleanliness- we made it work and used the extra bedding that seemed fresher and washed things on our own in the unit. It was busy spring break season and likely a quick turnaround was the culprit and reflective of that weekend’s cleaning crew more than the unit itself. Listing says “bikes” and none to be found - fine because we walked everywhere but … Was very nice to have beach wagons, chairs and umbrellas at our disposal in the storage room below the unit. Location is walkable to lots of restaurants and unit is as close as you can get to the beach if you can manage the spiral case. We had some pocket door issues (bedroom door not staying closed) with the second bedroom and it’s a bit labor intensive to always need a physical key to get on and off the beach. There’s a gate for the complex that’s used to get to the beach/pool area directly beneath the primary bedroom that rattles the entire room every time someone uses it which will wake you about 7 am or earlier each day unless you have some serious white noise going (there are 2 box fans which are a lifesaver!) The island and condo weren’t super crowded for a popular week which was great. I do feel we overpaid for the week but we got our oceanfront locale so if that’s what you seek, this will for your needs

Paradise!

Cannot say enough good things about this property. Best location in Marco and cannot beat the easy access to the pool and beach from the spiral staircase off the front patio. SO easy and convenient. The cabana was filled with everything a guest could ask for including awesome bikes, paddle board and life jacket, water toys, chairs & umbrellas and carts to carry them, cooler, water shoes, etc. We loved that! Also, our kids used the boogie boards non-stop. We had to replace one because they broke one and we left the new one behind for other guests to enjoy. Donna was very responsive when we brought a few things to her attention upon arrival (marble countertops had some water stains and wifi was out for awhile). She was great to work with! We would absolutely rent this unit again! The only thing we woudl like to mention is that the second bedroom has two "full" beds, not "queen" as advertised. This was not a huge deal but we have 14 yr old triplets so it was a battle taking turns who had to sleep together in a full bed. Modern world problems :) We have already referred many friends to Marco and Somerset condos because of our positive experience.

Beautiful condo, Lovely place for families

This is not our first visit to the Somerset but our first in this condo. It was immaculate, updated, and conveniently located. The photos online were exactly as the unit presented itself when we arrived. No surprises at all. Some things we loved about this unit: the convenient first floor walk out (so we could walk right off our balcony to hit the pool), the furniture on the balcony (nice and comfy), the automatic sliding door window shades), the décor and modernness of the appliances and furniture, the exceptionally comfortable mattresses (slept better on them than ours at home!), and the responsiveness of our property manager, Donna. We always love the covered parking, the beautiful beach access, and the well-kept pool areas here. The only issue we had was with that the beach items (carts, umbrellas, chairs) were in a shared room. I don’t know how many other condos were using this shared room, but when we arrived, there were no umbrellas (well, there was one or two and some parts and pieces, but none of the stands matched the umbrellas and were not able to be used). I think some families take more than their reasonable “share” of supplies, so we had to get up extra early each day to claim our beach supplies before they were all taken. There were plenty of supplies, so as long as we got there early enough, we could access what we needed. There also weren’t any sand buckets for small children to make castles, etc., but we were blessed with another family giving us theirs when they left. We, in turn, left them in the shared space for future families to use. This is just something minor, but compared to other units we have stayed in who have had designated beach supplies for one specific condo unit, it was something for future guests to be aware of. We’d absolutely stay here again. It was a wonderful, relaxing experience. We’ve been coming to Marco Island for over 20 years, and we know we’ll be back for 20+ more!

Relaxing week

Wonderful condo with fabulous access to the beach. We love staying at Somerset and will definitely reach out to stay in this unit again. It’s clean, has the bonus room with beach equipment , toys etc. the buggies are a little well loved but I imagine not everyone knows importance of rinsing after each beach use. Plenty of towels and kitchen equipment as well. Great location to walk to Sunset Grill or the little strip mall with several restaurants, shops, movie theater, ice cream shop etc. truly enjoyed our stay!

Marco Island beachfront

This is a very nice property on a great SW Florida barrier island beach. Everything is as pictured and the kitchen was reasonably well stocked with plates and cooking pots, pans, and utensils. Donna did a good job as manager.
