About this property

Newly remodeled unit with west views of sunsets

This unit was just extensively remodeled by owners. It is our full time residence that we rent out when we are traveling. The unit is 1500 sq. ft. under air, which is larger than the typical two bedroom unit in this complex. We enlarged the guest bath, which opens into the guest bedroom and a common hallway. The guest bedroom was expanded and now has its own TV and sitting area. There is an office in the rear of the kitchen and the washer/dryer is also located there. The unit comes with all linens and a fully equipped kitchen. The master bath and guest bath both have showers. There is a king size bed in the master, a king size bed in the guest bedroom and a full size Murphy bed in the living room. Hair dryers are provided in both bathrooms. There are HDTVs in both bedrooms and the living room. The living room is a 70' , the master is a 39' the guest bedroom is a 42' . The living room and guest bedroom have Blue Ray disc players. The sound system through out is Sonos.

The lanai looks due west for fabulous sunsets that change nightly. You are so close to the beach you can hear the surf.

The property has two tennis courts and two swimming pools. The Marriott and Hilton hotels are minutes away by beach. Numerous restaurants are within short walking distance. Free Wi-fi and full size washer and dryer in unit. The Somerset complex has over 200 palm trees and won the 2019 award for best landscaped condo on Marco.

Amazing sunsets

View from the balcony is awesome. Bathrooms are very nice, kitchen is great, beds were comfortable. We walked the beach, heading north to the JW - the beach in front of the Somerset is nicer than some of the properties to the north. There are sections that get VERY shell-filled to the north. Storage units for beach gear was a great feature. Would definitely book here again.

Fantastic, beautiful, easy

We loved our time in this condo! Communication was outstanding! Our property managers were incredibly responsive and helpful! The bed was super-comfy (and we both have back problems, so that was fantastic), and everything was marvelously clean when we arrived. We absolutely LOVED the balcony with its western views of the ocean, and spent many hours out there. Thank you so much. We hope to be back!

Relaxing week in Marco

This condo was very nice. The property is well maintained and clean. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms are updated with high-end equipment. We especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this property.

Beautiful views

Enjoy drinking our morning coffee from the veranda. Wish beach chairs and umbrellas could be rented and set up. Hard to do the older you get. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. It was a wonderful week!

Marco island is paradise

We fell in life with Marco island the second we arrived. If you're adventurous or just want to relax there's a ton to do. The condo was very nice. Couldn't beat sitting on the patio watching the amazing sunsets. The only downfall was 1 shower, but we were aware of that going in. Owners were great to communicate with. Kurt met us upon arrival and was very helpful. Would definitely go back.

Fantastic sunset, clean condo and has everything you need.

Mike and Janet's condo is fantastic! The king bed is comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal or the condo is in walking distance to some really nice restaurants. The beach is flat and great for walking, but you do need shoes. The beach is very shelly, but we loved it. Minimal traffic and plenty of room on the beach and at the pools. Reasonable close to Shark Valley Visitors Center at the National Park. We had a wonderful week and hope to stay here again.

Beautiful, clean, effortless vacation rental!

My husband, 4 yr old daughter, & I stayed at this Marco Island condo for a week in June. We have rented beach houses on the NC coast for many years, but decided to give Florida a try & this condo was perfect. Everything we needed was provided-from preparing dinners to spending the day on the beach. They provided beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys, a beach umbrella- everything we needed for our days spent on the beach! The kitchen was fully stocked. The condo was in a perfect location & we viewed beautiful sunsets every evening from the huge balcony. There was a very clean pool & charcoal grill area right off the beach, which we used daily (even grill tools were provided!) The actual condo & the Somerset grounds were beautiful & extremely clean. Lastly, the owners of this condo are extremely easy to work with & always answered my questions very quickly. We are so thankful we found this gem & look forward to many more trips to this condo at Marco Island!

This property is lovely. Check in/out was very simple and easy. Kurt, the property manager, was resposive and helpful. The condo itself is quite clean. We take our shoes off at home and do the same when we use a vacation rental. Even the floors in this unit are very clean, which is unusual. We were impressed by the cleanliness since it's very important to us. We have often spent our first couple hours of vacation cleaning. It was unneeded in this beautiful rental. It was just two of us so we only used one bedroom but we did use both bathrooms. The unit is very spacious and would easily hold more people and is well appointed with supplies for your stay. The somerset itself is very well kept and has pretty grounds. Of course one cannot say enough about the amazing beach. It's not our thing but we saw many people gathering gorgeous shells. The location is easy walking distance to great restaurants. Our favorites are probably Marco Prime and Fin Bistro. We don't have a single negative thing to say about this condominium. We would return without hesitation.

I hate to do this but here I go!! The reason I hate to do this is probably it will HURT my chances of getting this Unit again after this review. Lol! For the past 7 years I have rented a house on Marco Island for the grandkids to enjoy. Did it again this year for them. After they left rented two weeks at Somerset Unit#713. From the the 1st day to the last day it was one of the BEST times we have ever had on Marco. From arriving and dealing with the owner Mike who goes above and beyond the line of DUTY to explain everything about his Condo! The Condo is equipped with EVERYTHING! Once you walk into this Condo and see the VIEWS you will know what I mean! So the days of renting a home for the grandkids in the future on Marco Island are OVER!! This will be me next location for the grandkids to spend there week!!!!! Hope this review doesn't HURT my chances of renting Mikes Condo in the Future!!!!

Family vacation

We had an amazing time in a great condo! It had everything thing we needed. Mike was easy to work with and answered all my questions promptly.It was an easy walk to the beach, we saw beautiful sunsets from our balcony, and ate great food. Why they chose this property

We purchased this property because the Somerset is the largest size weekly rental units on the island and the only weekly rental units with washer and dryers in the unit. It is a quiet, peaceful and relaxing environment in a well maintained building. The west view is fantastic and the sunsets change nightly. Hard to beat the weather from November through May. The sound of the surf is soothing. Forget the car...take the elevator to the beach! Marco Island is like going to Hawaii without the long plane ride.

This condo is our home. It is well furnished with everything you would expect in a beach home.
