About this property

Nice little house with park and large pool - Fontvieille center 1km - Provence

The apartment is located one kilometer from the village of Fontvieille, immersed in a beautiful park, it is adjacent to the main house, with its own entrance and private parking.

For your privacy, you will have a terrace and a private garden in front of the apartment, with deck chairs, parasol, table and barbecue.

A few steps from the terrace, you will be alone to enjoy the salt pool (without use of chlorine), with your sunbathing, parasols, and solar shower.

Very pleasant, totally independent and unique on the property, the cottage is fully air conditioned and includes a master bedroom with a king size bed (180x200 cm or 2x90cm), a living room with access to the terrace and private garden, a large separate kitchen very well equipped with fireplace, finally, a bathroom with walk-in shower, and separate toilet.

You will find all the necessary equipment: air conditioning, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge with freezer (three large drawers), coffee maker and electric kettle, toaster, oven and microwave, electric griddle, crockery and kitchen utensils, water softener, hair dryer, flat screen TV and free wifi in all the apartment.

You will also have at your disposal the linen (sheets, duvets, tablecloths, towels ...) as well as towels and beach towels for the pool.

The swimming pool (12x5m) without vis-à-vis and the park (5000m2) are free access, you will relax in absolute calm as you will be our only guests during your stay.

Ideally located between the village of Fontvieille and the Alpilles, the house is perfect as a starting point to discover Provence: the Baux-de-Provence (8km), Arles (10km), Saint-Rémy-de-Provence ( 12km), Avignon (25km), Aix-en-Provence (70 km), the Luberon: Gordes, Lourmarin, Ménerbes 60 km, the Gard and the Cevennes: Nimes (30km), Saint Jean du Gard (100km), the Camargue and the Mediterranean coast: Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer (40km), Marseille, Cassis, 90 km.

Super stay in Provence

The house was well situated on the edge of a small town within easy access of a number of interesting centres. The hosts were incredibly friendly an helpful and we had everything we needed for a relaxing and interesting week. The pool and grounds were lovely too. All in all we had a lovely week exploring our part of Provence.

A Beautiful Place

This is a lovely apartment and very spacious for two people with everything you could possibly need - including much appreciated air conditioning!The pool and the garden were just magical and our hostess Marina could not have been more helpful. She gave up a morning to help us sort out a problem with our hire car and was a mine of information about where to visit in the area. The location is wonderfully central to so many interesting places and I thoroughly recommend it as a base for which to explore Provence.

Great place for visiting Provence

The house is great. It is quiet (besides the cicades), clean, well equipped and has very friendly owners. The pool is large and practically private as the owners hardly use it. At a 30-40 min drive you can visit Arles, Nimes, Aix, Avignon etc etc

The cottage is small but big enough for two but most importantly in this area the outside space is super. The pool is large, very clean and the garden lovely with plenty of areas to sit & relax. The cottage is well equipped and overall an ideal place to relax in peace & solitude. The owners were helpful & the produce from the garden was very welcome!! Certainly a property we would consider again if coming to the area.

Misses the mark

Cute little house furnished with the family's rejects. Lovely garden and very nice pool. Configuration difficult as you need to go through both the sitting room and kitchen to reach the bathroom and loo. Kitchen cooking and eating equipment very tired and patchy. The so called sofa is just a single bed pushed against the wall with a few lumpy cushions. Bed not very comfortable. Lots of spiders and other insects. Although we rent many holiday properties each year we were somewhat taken aback when we asked for the change of bed linen after the first week we were told"what do you think you have a washing machine for?" It seems that their attitude to paying customers is that they were doing us a favour. Maybe it was a cultural difference but not of today's international standard

Optische Täuschung in der Anzeige

Das Haus insgesamt mit dem Garten ist schön, die vermietete Wohnung allerdings ist dunkel und voll gestellt mit alten, offenbar ausgedienten Möbeln (verschiedene Schränkchen, Bücherregale, zwei alte Küchenstühle am Esstisch, zwei Gartensessel als Wohnzimmersessel getarnt) schlechte (durchgelegene) Matratzen und viele Utensilien, die niemand braucht (alte Bücher, alte Prospekte, Sammelsurium an Geschirr (aber nur zwei "normale" Kaffee-/Teetassen), der Zugang zur Wohnung ist bei Dunkelheit nicht beleuchtet, kein Lichtschalter im Eingangsbereich im Wohnzimmer (man muss sich erst einmal in die Küche durchtasten), ein ganz einfaches WC, nirgends ein Kleiderschrank, Dusche/WC und Schlafzimmer befinden sich - ziemlich unpraktisch - am jeweiligen anderen Ende der Wohnung. Die Terrasse und die Terrassenmöbel machten keinen besonders gepflegten Eindruck. Die Fotos in der Anzeige vermitteln keinen realistischen Eindruck! Außer der Dusche (sieht neu aus) und einer gut funktionierenden Klima- bzw. Heizungsanlage entspricht die Einrichtung dieser Wohnung nicht einem modernen und funktionalem Standard, der bei diesem Mietpreis jedoch erwartbar ist. Unbedingt positiv hervorzuheben sind die überaus freundlichen Gastgeber, Eltern und Tochter.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. L'appartement totalement indépendant du corps du mas est spacieux et présente tous les équipements nécessaires. L'endroit est super, au calme tout en étant proche du village. A 20 minutes de Saint-Rémy, 15 d'Arles et à 40 minutes des Saintes-Maries de la Mer, la situation présente beaucoup de possibilités de visites. Marina et ses parents sont charmants, disponibles et très attentionnés tout en étant discrets. La grande propriété arborée et la piscine sont très appréciées. Très belle découverte. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Marina löste alle (kleinen) Probleme sofort. Das Haus liegt etwas außerhalb von Fontvieille, sehr ruhig mitten im Grünen. Für uns gute Betten. Sehr gute Lage: In 45 min viele verschiedene Ziele von Carpentras bis Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer erreichbar. Leider war das Wetter nicht so, dass wir den Pool genutzt hätten - dafür auch keine Stechmücken... (Mai). Für uns sehr geschickt, waren die Fahrräder: Außerhalb der Städte parken und mit dem Fahrrad z. B. zum Markt fahren.

FeWo im aussergewöhnlichen Park mit SwimmingPool

Marina und Patrick haben uns sehr freundlich als Gastgeber mit einer Fl. Wein begrüßt. Später gab es weitere Geschenke mit regionalen Spezialitäten. Marina, dieauch Englisch spricht, löste alle (kleinen) Probleme sofort. Im Schlafzimmer befinden sich 2 Betten, die man zusammenschieben kann. Küche ist etwas dunkel aber komplett ausgestattet. Dusche neu und angenehm. Garten sehr einladend, aber leider viele Moskitos (hier: Sept.), die uns auch in die Wohnung folgten. Bekämpfung erfolgte chemisch und elektrisch. AntiBrumm Forte half. Die FeWo hat leider nur in der Dusche und im Schlafzi. MoskitoGitter. SwimmingPool im Sept. für uns kaum nutzbar, da Temp. 18-19 Grad. Bei der FeWo handelt es sich übrigens um einen Anbau an das Haupthaus. Man ist ganz separat für sich, Ausblick in den romantischen Park/Garten. Parkplatz ca. 10m entfernt, Auto ist nötig. Gut erreichbar waren Avignon, Arles, Baux de Prv., Bouche du Rhone. Wir haben gut gegessen in den Restaurants in der Ortsmitte Fontvielles (plat du jour preiswert). Marina gab gute Tips für Veranstaltungen/Restaurants.

Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Besitzer sind unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit; Patrick hat sich sofort um eine Werkstatt bemüht, die dann zügig den Reifenwechsel vorgenommen hat. Der Pool ein Highlight, der Park ein Traum.
