Cottage in the Village of Veules, 700m from the Beach
Located opposite the famous traditional cress fields of Veules and from the spring of the shortest river in France the Veules, the house has a large landscaped garden of 1800m2 and a large equipped patio of 70m2.
The entrance to the property is via the front conservatory, where you can eat or rest when the weather is not so fine.
Inside you will find a large living room and dining area of around 27m2 and an open equipped kitchenette.
Large living room with all comforts, large leather 3-seat sofa, a 2-seat sofa convertible, armchair.
-Double/Master bedroom with 2 large windows one looking out onto the garden and one onto the side patio. Double bed (bed linen not provided – sheets 140cm and pillow cases 60cm/60cm).
-2nd bedroom = 2 twin beds (bed linen not provided 90cm / sheets & pillow cases 60x60)
-Living room sofa converts into double bed (Linen not provided sheets 140cm and pillow cases 60x60).
It is a pleasant walk to the beach (sandy at low-tide) via the river banks of the Veules river and cress fields. In the picturesque village centre you will find a traditional bakery, 2 grocery shops as well as several restaurants and bars, boutiques selling art & crafts, art galleries, a post-office and a cash- machine. There is also a GP and a pharmacy in the village.
Veules les Roses is classed amongst the Prettiest seaside villages of France (« Les Plus Beaux Villages de France TV show) and its charm and beauty can be appreciated at all times of the year. Beach/rockpool fishing, maritime sports such as sailing and swimming. There are several art galleries open all year and frequent art exhibitions. The village and its surrounding countryside the Pays de Caux are a joy to explore on walking tours and by bicycle. The Visitor Centre offers guided tours of many sights from Easter on.
-The house is strictly non-smoking
-For reasons of hygiene pets are not allowed on the property
-The landscaped garden of 1800m2 is maintained as much as possible and is at your disposal, it is not however a contractual part of the rental.
We would ask that you respect the entry and exit times of the property (see conditions of rental)
End of rental cleaning is not included in the rental price and must be done prior to leaving the property. Cleaning is possible as an option (2hrs cleaning costing 80€ by an outside vendor) and should be requested upon booking. Any necessary cleaning left undone will be billed to the renter.
