This cozy little cottage was perfect for us! We enjoyed everything about it! I wish we could have stayed longer! The location was perfect too! The host was extremely responsive to any questions that I may have had!HIGHY recommend and we will be back!!!

Great cabin right on the lake! Near a couple of great restaurants, the BBQ place right across the street is AMAZING. Very clean VRBO, very accurate description of the property and very easy check in and out process.

The cabin was nice. The only "concern", if you could even call it that, was the tub is a little aged and discolored. Otherwise the stay was great. We enjoyed eating at Shipwreck, walking to the trading post, fishing and enjoying family. You can even get a free live music concert on some nights compliments of Shipwreck :-) Would definitely stay again. Didn't need to contact the host about anything since all was in good order so never talked to him or met him. Was a nice place a d convenient location to things in town.

The location was great—right across the street from the Tally Ho Bar & Grill, which we highly recommend, and just two doors down from the ice cream parlor. Curtis is such a cute little town! We also rented a boat from the Fish & Hunt Shop and enjoyed the clean lake, although it is very shallow. The friendly ducks were a fun bonus.The house was nice and roomy, with lots of fans and bag chairs available in the closet. It was also a perfect home base for driving to many other Upper Peninsula attractions.There were a few drawbacks. The water pump was extremely loud, so I would avoid flushing the toilet in the middle of the night. Only two rolls of toilet paper were provided, and the owner questioned why we needed more, so I recommend bringing extra. The beds could also use some improvement—one was very noisy and felt like sleeping directly on box springs, while another seemed slightly slanted.Overall, the location and spaciousness were the highlights, and we really enjoyed exploring Curtis and the surrounding UP attractions.

We spent a full week at this Downtown Curtis South Manistique Lakefront Cabin and it exceeded every expectation. The moment you walk in you’re surrounded by that classic Michigan wood interior and huge sliding doors that open right onto South Manistique Lake. The views from the living room and dining area are incredible—morning coffee watching the water, evening sunsets, the whole package.The cabin itself is cozy, clean, and thoughtfully laid out for a small group. Everything we needed was there, the space felt private and peaceful, and being right on the lake made it so easy to just relax or step outside and enjoy the water. Curtis is a great little base for exploring the area, and this location made the whole trip feel special.Highly recommend if you’re looking for a true northern Michigan lakefront experience. We already miss it and would book again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful lake view and very convenient location. The cabin has everything you need to feel like you are at home. Dennis is an amazing host and very accommodating. The South Lake has great fishing and the Shipwreck next door has fantastic food!

Nice lake views. Right on main drag which can get busy and loud with restaurant traffic. But convenient to walk nearby. Things were a bit dusty but otherwise comfortable. Allows pets which was helpful.

Great place to stay!!

Had a slight mishap the first night with the fridge but the property owner was quick to respond, great place to stay at our 2 year old loved the cabin and didn’t want to leave at end of our visit! Will definitely book again next summer!!
