Isabel was very responsive and helpful. The gite was located very close to the town of Saint Emilian. We were able to walk to town and dinner within 10 minutes and there was room for parking. I would highly recommend this Vrbo.

Isabelle met us at the house and explained everything. We loved the house that has been on her family for three generations. The garden area was lovely and a peaceful space to relax and have our meals. Very close walking to Saint-Emilion. Very well appointed. Comfortable beds. We would stay again if we return to the area.

Stay at the stone house.

The house is quaint and beautiful, located on a quiet side street making it private yet walkable to the center of Saint Emilion. Isabelle was wonderful. We will plan to stay again.

This accommodation is 5/5 for location. However we thought the check in process was stressful as the host is very particular about everything in this house. We don’t speak French and she doesn’t speak English, even though the house is advertised as host speaks both. This clearly frustrated her and even though we tried to communicate she got quite angry. The house is okay in terms of comfort and the kitchen is a good size. In summer you have to pay extra for the air conditioning although this wasn’t clear when we booked. The house gets very hot in summer as it faces the setting sun. The garden is also quite messy with long grass uncut which attracts bugs. We had to clean the outdoor table which had an ants nest all over the legs and some chairs. Check out was also unpleasant even though we left 2 hours before required. The host went through the entire house and kitchen while we were still trying to get out. Complaining about the cleanliness of glasses even we had put everything through the dishwasher and packed them away. Then complaining about the way we had put out the garbage. Our suggestion would be if this causes you so much stress then perhaps don’t rent the property out.

Je suis désolée que vous n'ayez pas bien consulté le règlement intérieur pour les charges qui sont bien indiquées correctement. D'autre part la vaisselle des verres n'était pas essuyée correctement car ils étaient plein d'eau et de traces de doigts donc je suis obligée de laisser propre pour les prochains clients. Si cela ne vous convient pas et que vous ne prenez pas connaissance du règlement j'en suis désolée pour vous. Pour la pelouse non tondue entre les clients qui partent le matin et d'autre qui arrivent le soir et avec une température de 40 cela est compliqué pour tondre.

Beautiful location, walking distance to many vineyards and the village. Lots of wine shops with very knowledgeable staff, wonderful food. The gite was spacious and clean. Great place for group a get away

Lovely spacious house with great amenities. Nice outdoor area and parking right at the door. Top location for 5 min walk to restaurants or stores but quiet for a sleep in. 30min walk or short drive and park at railway station for train to many places. Kitchen very well stocked for cooking. All 3 bedrooms are upstairs with main bathroom downstairs. Ensuite shower is good. We loved our stay here and would definitely recommend to others.

Outstanding stay!

We were looking for a place close to St Emilion and this checked all the boxes!! Lovely home with excellent amenities in the the kitchen and a comfortable space for friends and family. Five minute walk into the picturesque village of St Emilion. Very quiet and a bonus was walking through the local vineyards on their many trails. Our host, Isabelle, was very responsive and helpful.

It was fantastic! The location was great and it was spacious and well equipped. So clean!!! The grocery store and butcher shop are a 5 minute walk away. The setting is perfect as you are on the edge of town and surrounded by vineyards. Walk a few minutes and you have your choice of restaurants. Large outdoor area to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Host is very responsive.

Home away from home

This is our second stay in this house and we enjoyed it as much as our first. The house is very well equipped and comfortable and in a fabulous location. Although it is only a short walk to the centre of the village its location provides you with a quiet haven away from the tourist bustle. Isabelle is a wonderful host and provides lots of information on the location including restaurants and chateaus to visit. This is definitely on our 'come back' list.
