Amazing house with a ton of history. Beautiful view of the lake with pier space for our boat. Kim was wonderful to work with and was very prompt in responding to messages.
Great location, great views with plenty of sleeping space. Great front deck overlooking the lake for a morning cup of coffee. Walking distance to the Tippy Lake Country Club for drop in pickleball. Short drive to the Tippy Creek Winery as well as the cute town of North Webster.
Everything about this rental was fantastic. The host was very easy to communicate with, the location was perfect, the house was spacious for 6 adults and had everything we needed for a long comfortable and relaxing weekend. The kayak was a nice surprise. We rented a pontoon, and the dock was very easy to navigate. One of the best VBRO's we've stayed in!!!
We love staying here with our family every summer - it’s perfect. Sleep well, enjoy the grilling, water skiing, tubing, ice cream shop on the lake. Can’t ask for more. The host is great and very responsive. Can’t wait for next summer!!
Perfect spot for a long weekend or quick family getaway
This property was exceptionally clean and comfortable! It was set up with everything we needed and plenty of space! Day one we spent fishing and swimming all day off the private dock. Day 2 we rented a boat and tube and had some fun out of the lake! Groceries and restaurants weren’t too far away and pizza delivery made for easy dinner after long lake days as well! We made lots of family memories in our short stay at Lake Tippecanoe!
We spent a sister weekend here. The decor is refreshing and the view was beautiful! We had trouble with the door locks and didn’t have any extra TP by the end of the weekend. We contacted Kim and she responded promptly. The lake was lovely
The cottage was very clean, nicely decorated and well equipped! Beautiful views from the deck! Our family enjoyed our stay immensely! We swam off the end of the dock, sandy and no weeds! Enjoyed singing around the fire pit a couple evenings as well. Wish there was a flat area by the lake for games, but you can't have everything!! This is a great rental!!
We had a very relaxing stay, just what we were hoping for. The home had everything we needed to cook our thanksgiving dinner, stocked kitchen. I don't recall the listing mentioning the nature preserve right across the street, but we spent a lot of time there, even in the cold it was peaceful and a perfect start to our day. A few of the reviews mentioned shotty WiFi, but we immediately noticed the router was plugged into a light switch plug, so if it got turned off, the WiFi went down, once we switched to a different plug, no issues. We would love to return in the summer, I am sure the lake is beautiful.
our day.
Our family had a lovely time at this lake house. Only 8 minutes to the grocery and a few restaurants. Boat rental place nearby. We saw lots of wildlife: turtles, blue herring, hawks, deer, and an owl. Spent most of our time relaxing on the deck, swimming off the dock, or boating. Used the grill and kitchen for meals. Overall, a great experience.
I recommend bringing floats, extra beach towels, and drinking water. Also, the stairs down and back to the house from the driveway are a great workout.
This is a three bedroom cottage with a large living area, and a deck facing the main part of Tippecanoe lake. The kitchen was well equipped. The deck was the natural meeting area for our group. It has a modern dock. It is just above the level of the lake, so naturally, there is a climb to get down there and back from the parking area, but there are handrails. The house was very clean and equipped with everything that we needed. The check-in and check-out procedures were easy. My family had a wonderful few days there and I would certainly recommend this property to anyone who wants a great lake experience.

The AC was not working our entire 4 day stay. We contacted the host several times and nothing was done. The man we spoke to said that it was recently serviced. It wasn't. It had a thick layer of dirt and leaves It was 83 degrees in the house. My sister left a day early and we went to stay in a different home nearby. The host refunded me $600 of the $1800 I paid, at my request. I only asked for half because I was trying to be fair and really did enjoy the lake with my family. Unfortunately sleeping and dinner time was awful in the heat.
There is a code to use the TV that was never mentioned, so we had no TV the first day and a half. I had to contact the host again for the code. The Wifi works very intermittently. I had to reset it a couple of times.. If the wifi is out the TV is too. There is only an amazon firestick that depends on the wifi. The firepit is a ring of rocks that has a 6 ft high pile of tree branches in it. It was unusable unless we wanted to haul away the huge pile of tree branches in the 90 degree heat. we bought stuff for smores so we took them to the home my niece rented across the lake. We also used that home for relief from the heat. I had to buy a hose and exterminate the deck to make it usable because it was covered in ants spiders. The host charged me $75 because the table blew over in the wind and broke the umbrella. When I complained she threatened me with a clean up fee. The house was left very clean and I took pictures of everything. Unbelievable.

Everything was amazing. Sunset views looking out over the lake from the house and porch. Had a great long weekend with friends. Host responded very quickly to questions.
This lake cottage is absolutely AMAZING! Great open concept floor plan on the main level, beautiful views of the lake, private dock and everything you can possibly think of is provided inside the cottage. The owners have truly done a great job of providing everything to the point you actually feel like you are at home. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views from inside the cottage, out on the deck or down at the private pier. So relaxing! This place is definitely "as advertised". HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
The Millers (Jul 2022)
The house was beautifully updated, bright, and cheery! Lots of room for a family or friends. On the water with a dock. My only suggestion is to improve the walkway down to the house and from the house to the dock. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be returning sometime in the future.
I’m so thankful we found this sweet lake house, and truly hope we get to go back sometime. It couldn’t have been more perfect for our family of four. It is exactly as described. You walk into a bright, open, colorful and happy place… My favorite part, by far, are the big picture windows overlooking the sparkly lake. Literally right on the water. Full bathrooms downstairs and upstairs. The master bedroom has three full beds, our eight year old son loved the bunkbed room so much he said he sleeps better there than he sleeps at home! And our daughter was overjoyed that she got her own room, too, with light pink walls and a big bright window overlooking the lake… Our early June weather consisted of mornings in the 60s, perfect for sitting on the big deck, with coffee and a book overlooking the lake, watching the fisherman… Afternoons in the 70s, with sunshine just right for boating. We loved walking out to the end of the dock to sit on the bench in the mornings and evenings, too. The home had everything we needed including beach towels, a grill, coffee maker, etc. When there was an issue, the owners of the home were incredibly responsive and kind. As mentioned in the listing, there are pretty steep concrete/stone stairs leading from the garage where you park, down to the entrance of the home. That was no problem for our family, but just a heads up that you’ll need to haul whatever you bring up and down the stairs, and it would definitely be tricky for older folks, etc. …Overall, we didn’t want to leave, and can’t wait to go back.
