Spacious and clean apartment in a handy location
After a bit of confusion, we arrived and met Juan, the manager, who made sure that everything went well for us. He is an amazing asset at El Mirador. The complex is in a great location for walking everywhere, however, the description on VRBO made it sound like we could easily walk to a beach. There is a long stretch of beach in front of the hotels in the distance, but it is private. The pool at the complex is lovely but the sun disappears around 3PM daily and one has to keep moving chairs to stay in the sun until that time. The gym had cardio and weight equipment along with free weights and mats; and the grounds were beautiful and well kept. We enjoy staying in apartments, rather than hotels especially for the home feeling. It's nice to arrive and have some salt, pepper, oil, and sugar, as well as soap in the shower, so as not to start from scratch each time. There were none of these things here. Leaving non-perishables from guest to guest is a nice, welcoming touch. Having said this, the kitchen was beautiful and the appliances were new and well kept. Juan was great, as were all the staff on site.
