We would definitely stay here again! The house is beautifly updated while still keeping the 1919 craftsman charm. The pool area is like being in your own private resort. We loved being able walk to local restaurants and the historic downtown area of Folsom. We had a wonderful stay.
Great stay in this very nice craftsman bungalow in Folsom historic district. Note that the pool area is lovely and better in person than shown in photos. Enjoyed are time here.

Great host
Beautiful home in a great place thank you
It was a great stay
This was an excellent place to stay and entertain while visiting family nearby. The heated pool was a real bonus. A short walk to the town with lots of restaurants and shops, and ice skating in November. Just a block away from a nice bike ride around lake Natoma. Plenty of parking.
House is charming. The pool and the yard absolutely delightful. Doug, our host was very communicative and responsive. A lovely stay for our group of 4 adult women!
Three college chums reunion with fourth chum who lives nearby continues to be the ideal gathering place! Thank you Host Doug!

Great place to stay!
Great place to stay. The four of us were in the area for a conference. We arrived after dark, but the light was left in for us! Doug met us and went through the house with us, showing us the ins and outs, so we didn’t have to figure things out for ourselves. Great downtown to explore. Doug recommended great restaurants. We would definitely stay there again if we have another conference in the Sacramento area.

The Guests were a pleasure to work with. They left the place in good order and took good care of the property while staying. I would love to have them back!
Delightful 2nd Visit to the Folsom 1919 Craftsman rental! Great variety of spaces to gather to grin and reminisce!
Wonderful kitchen and deck area to prepare special meals. A couple of baking sheets and a pizza cutter would have finished off this lovely potential 5 star shared kitchen… hopefully next time?
Wonderful house, great location! Easy check in and check out. Owner very responsive! Very nice front and back deck for relaxing with coffee. We went to bike in Folsom for a few days and the trails are right next to the house. The Lake Natoma trail is great, we are coming back to fish and kayak there.
What a beautiful home! The location was perfect for our visit to Folsom. Historic Folsom is 2 blocks away - with great dining, shopping and night life.
Beautiful house in a great location!! We absolutely loved this property & Doug was a pleasure to work with. Would love to stay here again when we return to Folsom.
We were very impressed with this property and owner.
We really enjoyed sitting each night at the firepit with a glass of wine and going over the days activities. I would return to this property any time and recommend this to anyone.

About the host
Hosted by Doug Scalzi
My name is Doug, I'm a local commercial real estate developer, and past Fireman, Paramedic, and current Reserve Police Officer. My passion is restoring and remodeling Historic Homes. I've lived in Folsom all my life. I personally manage all my commercial and residential properties to ensure my guests and renters are properly taken care of. I've been a vacation rental host for over 8 years, and was one the first to create a vacation rental in Historic Folsom with what is known as the Figueroa House. I currently have two amazing vacation rentals, both on the main street (Sutter Street) in Historic Folsom. I've been actively involved in the placement of tenants, restaurants, and entertainment venues in Old Folsom. Sutter Street Steakhouse, Fabria Bakery, More then Olives, Hacienda, The smart Axe, Ruby's Books, Sutter Street Theater, and BrainyZoo, Just to name a few. I designed and developed the Sutter Street Steakhouse Building , Fire and Rain Building (Penthouse Location) , and restored many others. I work hard to provide something top notch for my guests.
Why they chose this property
You have many choices in Folsom, especially the historic district, so make the right choice for a memorable stay. Each of my properties are truly downtown and steps away from Lake Natoma. No need to walk blocks to all the action, you're in it! Whether it be the Penthouse with high end luxury, rooftop deck, and large bedrooms, or the Craftsman Home with updated amenities, new pool house option, a double lot, amazing back yard, custom pool and private vacation oasis, either property will not disappoint.
