About this property

This is a great cottage for a peaceful summer vacation! 140 ft of private lake frontage with a dock. Lower level is for storage only. Amazing fishing. Amazing sunsets. Lake has a sandy bottom. Water front is across a very quiet street. Fire pit is on the water. Bring your boats! Bear Lake Marina has rentals as well. Close to Lake Michigan, Sleeping Bear dunes, Crystal mountain, 10 miles from little river casino. There is an awesome store with everything you may need walking distance away. Full kitchen with all utensils for cooking. Small charcoal grill is available. Out door furniture available. Cottage is on second level with a deck with a great view. Lower level is storage and not occupied. There is lots of yard space as well as beach front. There is a fire pit by the water. Wood is not provided but can be bought at the nearby store walking distance away. Walking distance to a store with everything you could need including gas station. Water craft can be rented just down the road and docked in front of cottage!

Wonderful get away property

My stay was perfect. Plenty of room, yard room, grill, right across from the lake, all was good. Cold use air conditioning but lucky for me was nice enough to stay in the lake in the daytime an nights were cool. If it was rainy and warm would not have made it

The cottage has not been updated for years.

Over all maintenance inside and out is poor. Surrounding properties far above this property. Front door knob locks but the door doesn’t close completely.

Quick Trip, Great Stay

Easy check in. New couch (I saw the couch was an issue in other review which has now been updated and comfy). Vintage appliances (we didn’t use but they were neat to see). Great space for my husband and I quick trip. Close to the convenience store and restaurant. Extra blankets available to sit outside on the balcony. Great view of Bear Lake. Would stay again!

Great stay!

The cottage was comfortable & had everything needed. Great frontage on Bear Lake- shallow & sandy bottom. Perfect for littles. This is a guest cottage and the owner lives on the property. Don’t let this stop you! I had only pleasant interactions & definitely felt my privacy was respected. A reminder for those who have never stayed in an ol’ time cottage- there’s a (very slight) musty odor & the water has a sulfur smell. If that bothers you, pay more for a different place…. Don’t leave bad reviews because of your poor choice. Would stay again.
