Shirley & Gary are wonderful hosts. The location of this property is breath taking. We enjoyed only 2 nights, but sitting out before and after sunset and listening to the beautiful wave action, is indescribable. We know the area so were already tuned in to what we wanted to do while there. The area has endless surprises and is the crown jewel of the Great Lakes. If you love nature, you will love this entire area. Places to eat and micro breweries, from Ludington to Traverse City, all along Lake Michigan are the best. This secret destination is beginning to be noticed, and for a wonderful relaxing time in the evenings,Shirley & Gary's place is one of the best. Enjoy!

We really enjoyed our stay, especially the spectacular view and beautiful location. The property has a lot of charm, although some of the furnishings are a bit dated and the food preparation area is fairly simple. We also hadn’t realized the owners’ space was directly next to ours, so we occasionally heard them and had a little less privacy than expected. The room had a slight older smell as well. Overall, we appreciated the beautiful setting and think that with a few updates, this could be a lovely place.

Fantastic location! Only problem we had was cell reception. We could not make calls most of stay. My suggestion is to have directions and house info on screen shot on phone or print it. Once we got close lost reception and could not pull up check in information. Had to drive back towards town to get reception and then screen shotted info then went back to home. Other than that it was a great stay!

Great little place right on the lake

Wonderful little place on Lake Michigan. Great views and good restaurants in the area. The wood stove was nice on a cool, late spring stay.

Wonderful seven day vacation in a relaxed environment. Everything was exactly the way it was described in the VRBO advertisement. Beach was pristine and so easy to access. Shirley and Gary were exceptional hosts.

Great view, location and vibe!

My wife and I loved our stay here. The spectacular view and sunsets will never be forgotten. The proximity to shopping, local restaurants and hikes was great. We highly recommend.

Great place to stay for our fall color drive

We totally enjoyed staying at Gary & Shirley's place. They were hospitable and the place was clean and beautiful right on Lake Michigan. We enjoyed walks on the beach, sitting around the fire at night, and driving to TC. Thank you for sharing this wonderful get-a-way place!

Kevin had a delightful weekend at our home. He was courteous and respectful. Since it is a private suite we were conscious to respect his privacy. They were able to sit on the deck and enjoy the beauty of Lake Michigan.

It felt more like a rented room than a vacation rental; however, the hosts were so kind, the location is beautiful, and I'd come back just to walk the beach again.
