About this property
Family friendly 2 br house with lake view, 3 min drive to beach
This 1990’s ranch will be just the place for you to cozy up, get some peace& quiet, and easily access the sweet little things Arcadia has to offer! Retro camp vibes in this 2 bedroom that can sleep up to 5. Newly remodeled kitchen in the colors of all the rocks on the beach. Calming dune-sand dining room that seats 6 is the perfect nook with pretty nature views. Sit in the bay window and take in some old growth trees and sandy meadows. Streaming access on the 50 inch t.v is a good option too. Listen to Lake Michigan’s waves lapping and crashing while you lay in the hammock and your bathing suits dry on the clothesline. In 3 minutes you can drive to the public access beach in Arcadia, grab some food at the local truck, caffeinate at Bowens creek with some beignets or back at the house for some pour over coffee. Mosey through the precious marsh preserve and count the number of painted turtles you see or red winged black birds you hear singing. One mile away from Inspiration Point and the Arcadia Dunes Nature Preserve, for plenty of hiking and biking options. You will be directly off M-22, 20 minutes south of Frankfort, 30 minutes north of Manistee and right next door to Onekama and Benzie. Wind down in comfy but simple bedrooms, each with their own unique vintage charm. The house is comfy and functional. It’s so close to everything you would want to do yet feels tucked away in a secluded wooded land. Family friendly. No pets allowed with the exception of service animals. Minimum 3 night stay.

About the host
Hosted by Jennifer M. Perrone

Hello there! We are a family of four from Ypsilanti in southeast Michigan. In Ypsi, we love to be with our neighbors, swim at the community pool, work in our gardens. We are so lucky to join other family members in Arcadia for beautiful, slow and peaceful up north time- when possible. When we are not able to take time away from work and small children life, we want other people to enjoy our space!
Why they chose this property
Arcadia feels like a secret little place that has somehow been saved from overdevelopment and crowded tourism. It is a town about to get a new breath of life and there are new business ventures opening all the time! It’s a quiet, two lake village that is protected by natural preserve status. People concerned about inclusivity and safety will find a welcoming community.
What makes this property unique
We are SO close to the lake. You can hear the waves. And there is a narrow lake view as well as a glimpse of sunset! The land is undeveloped on three sides of the property so it feels secluded, yet it is just a couple of minutes away from the village center and public beach.
