Unique Cabin in the Woods Near Mount St. Helens

The Silverlake area is a great place to spend a week or a weekend. We are located at the gateway to Mount St. Helens - about an hour's drive from Portland, Oregon and Olympia, Washington, and just just a few miles off of Interstate Five.

This area is the perfect start from which to explore the many different areas of Mount St. Helens with trails and visitor centers or to fish for Bass on Silverlake.

Come prepared to relax and enjoy the beauty of the area.

The hosts were responsive and welcoming. They kindly told me that I left my Kindle and phone charger at the cabin and were flexible with when I could pick it up. There were such charming touches throughout the cabin. It was so quiet and peaceful surrounded by trees. I would highly recommend staying here. Lovely place!

Cute cabin with lots of charm. Loved all the little extras that were bear or moose themed. Easy to find and peaceful. Spent my mornings on the porch drinking tea and listening to the birds sing. Great for a couple or a small family.

First of all, this 1935 cabin is so cute! Decorated with moose and bears, the moose paper towel holder was my favorite. Very clean with lots of towels and a super comfortable bed with soft sheets. We loved sitting on the front porch and enjoyed every minute. Every amenity was spot on. We will definitely be back.

Why they chose this property

Dan was raised in this area. He moved back to this area early on and he and his previous wife raised their children here. Dan has very much enjoyed catering to guests and has met and made many good friends from all over the world including the Queen of Englands Page and lady in waiting.

What makes this property unique

The amazing views of Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier over Silverlake are breathtaking. It is common to see deer, and rabbits along with other species feeding on the ever so fertile ground. The peace and serenity that surrounds you will surely make your stay a memorable one.
