We were lucky enough to have the hosts there when we arrived. They were warm and welcoming, gave us a tour of the beautiful property and we had a great conversation. The property itself is even more beautiful than the pictures show. Despite it being a some what rainy weekend we enjoyed our stay tremendously. Can’t wait to return.
Had an absolute wonderful weekend away. Everything in the home was well thought out and very accommodating for guests. Thank you very much for letting my family stay in your beautiful home.
The home was even more spacious and lovely than the pictures showed. Kitchen was extremely well-stocked. We loved kayaking and riding on the pontoon boat. Lake was beautiful and quiet. Easy to communicate with the owner.
this is our 2nd time coming to this absolutely stunning house and it got even better this time around! from the cozy hot tub on chilly summer nights to the whimsical backyard trail down to a dock with a view we couldnt look away from. this house is such a great place to escape to! this place also has the kitchen of my dreams I swear. thank you again for being amazing hosts. we can't wait to come back someday!
This house was SO comfortable and well-equipped. We were actually on a work trip and didn’t get to spend as much time as we’d have liked, but we plan to return. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean and fresh, and the kitchen was amazing. It’s Really a perfect getaway.
We loved our stay at Bohemian Rhapsody! Beautiful home, it was perfect for our family. Plenty of room for us, our 3 sons, their wives and our granddaughter. It was very close to the wedding we were attending. If we ever need a place in this area again we would definitely stay here!
This Bohemian Rhapsody was an absolute dream! The house is spacious, easy to get to, and perfectly situated right on the water with stunning views. It was impeccably clean, with a pristine hot tub that we thoroughly enjoyed. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked—an absolute joy to use for a big cook like me. The beds were super comfortable, and every detail of the home was beautifully appointed. Communication with the host was seamless and made the experience even better. Highly recommend this gem!
I've stayed at this property a few times, and I always love to come back. It's a great place to spend the weekend with friends, and a quiet, peaceful place to spend some time alone with a partner, which is what my husband and I did this weekend. There is nothing more relaxing than gazing at the stars in a secluded hot tub.
The property is spacious and spotless. Communication with the owner is flawless and easy, and he even recommended some great places for us to visit during our stay.
This weekend was five stars, as it has been every time I have visited Bohemion Rhapsody.
This is an amazing spot to get away for a few days. Very quiet and private, well stocked with anything you would possibly need, and Michael is very helpful (even had to call him at check in because I stupidly locked myself out and he got us right in). Saw a few reviews prior to staying about the long list of rules and whatnot, which were a bit overwhelming at first glance but really just a helpful resource if you’re looking for something in the house or need suggestions for exploring the nearby towns.
a group of six went for a girls trip to start the year off with the perfect vibe and wow did this stay do the trick!
from detailed check in instructions to an extremely helpful host, to the cloud like beds and heavenly hot tub, to the stand out views and chefs kitchen --- this house was like a dream come true! we're booked another stay halfway through our first and genuinely cannot wait to come back (the count down has already begun!)!
We stayed here for a week with friends. It is a very nice home with lots of space. The kitchen is very well equipped. The dock and deck are great places to hang out and we thoroughly enjoyed our time on the pontoon boat. The master bedroom and bath are very roomy and nice. All the beds were comfortable. The only downfall was emptying the de-humidifyers (sometimes 4 times in one day) in the basement but I don't blame the owner for that - it had to be done for comfort. Everything else was WONDERFUL!
We had a great stay at this great house. Between the fireplace, hot tub, large (and well appointed) kitchen, ample bedrooms and scenic setting we couldn't have asked for more. At the owner's suggestion we walked down to -- and on -- the frozen lake for a beautiful sunset. We were visiting our son in Waterville and the property is nearly equidistant between him and Sugar Loaf, so it was a nice jumping off point for the mountain. The owner clearly loves and cares for the property, which shows up in the house and owner interactions. We found the house (and hope we left it) clean, tidy and in great shape. Thanks to the owners for sharing the home with us.
We had the pleasure in staying at The Bohemian Rhapsody for a weekend in June. Although it rained most of the time we were here. We did get to walk along the magical pathway to the dock. The lights at night bring the pathway to life. We traveled many hours to attend a family wedding. The residence was located right in the middle between family and the wedding venue, perfect. After leaving the wedding we all came back to relax in the hot tub, a wonderful way to end the day. We are all in agreement that our stay was too short, looking forward to booking another trip but to stay longer. The home is beautiful, comfortable with anything you could need available. Hosts are attentive to any questions you may have, answering by email, text, and if needed a call. Thank you for allowing us to stay!
We absolutely loved our stay at Bohemian Rhapsody. The home, surrounding property and lake were all beautiful, clean and well maintained. Our communication prior to and throughout our stay with the owners was always immediate and helpful. We would love to return and will be recommending the home to anyone that wants a relaxing trip to Maine.
This property is amazing. It’s beautiful and has lot of accommodations. You feel like you in the middle of no where yet Walmart and Hannafords is just 10 mins away. The house has everything you need. We will be back.
Absolutely loved this beautiful property! Beautiful home on the lake! Previous reviews mention the rules. I’m not sure how anyone could not have specific guidelines when trusting such a beautiful place to strangers. The owner was very kind and specific on what was expected. Great communication! Would love stay here again whenever it’s not booked!!
This property is gorgeous, and the house had plenty of space for our large group of 8. Michael was available for questions, and was very accommodating when we wanted to add another member to our party. The only issue I took was the large set of guidelines delivered to us after booking. I understand that this is a private property, and that the owners are wary of bad guests, but it was so extensive and restricting that it made us feel very not welcome in the home. We received many warnings that if we did something as little as leave the TV on the wrong settings, we would be charged for a tech repair. Hot tub use was restricted to 30 min a day per person. If anything went wrong, we were warned we would be charged for a hot tub tech. We received a call shortly after arrival saying that we should move a car over a foot, so another car could fit in easier even though it was not necessary. It made us feel watched and uncomfortable. We are a considerate group that generally leaves a house in the state we found it, but here it was "requested" to wipe down all surfaces with bleach, and wash some laundry on top of the cleaning fee we were already paying. To summarize, it was a beautiful location, Michael and his wife seemed nice, but did not seem ready to trust their house with any group. We were on tip toes the whole weekend and worried about leaving any little thing out of place. We would not return.
What a delightful stay at this beautiful home! The house was spotless and matched the description. The owners have curated their space beautifully with eclectic décor that appears to have been chosen with care. Surrounded by nature, the views are gorgeous. Snowed while we were there and it looked like a winter wonderland. We enjoyed our stay!
This property was amazing! The house was beautiful, and very clean. Michael was very communicative and goes above and beyond to make sure you get the most out of your stay. We were snowed in for part of our stay and made full use of the kitchen, which was my favorite part of the house along with the hot tub. I would not recommend bringing children as there are many breakable things in the home. Being an artistic person I really enjoyed the bohemian aspects of the chalet which include many paintings, sculptures and vintage decor. We dined out one evening at The Old Mill Pub which had excellent food and was reasonably priced. I give this home and host a 5 star review and will defiantly be booking again in the future.
The cabin is spacious and well appointed, and even more charming in person than the photos! The fireplace and hot tub were just what we needed to escape the winter blues. Owner was very communicative and helpful.
