Enjoy the beauty of the Pocono at our spectacular 4 bedrooms lake front house with a deck facing the water. There are beautiful wide views of the lake from everywhere. There are great sunsets. It’s only a two minute walk to the beach and kids playground. The lake is great for fishing, swimming, boating! We have 8x12 aluminum dock on the lake. You can also use our pedal boat. Watch cable TV, there are 4 TVs, in the house .Enjoy the sauna. Computer and high speed wireless internet. There are 3 pools , 4 beaches, tennis courts, basketball court, kids playground, GYM, Home is minutes away from Jack Frost, Big Boulder and Camelback Ski, Kalahari waterpark and Recreation Areas. Nearby are horseback riding, snowmobiling, paint ball, golf, antique shops and Crossings outlet mall. State parks and many nature oriented interests abound - hiking, biking, fishing etc. For great entertainment - The Pocono Playhouse, Penn's Peak and the Mountain Laurel Arts Center are a short drive away. Also, there are many very good restaurants in the vicinity. The new Casino is within 20 minutes away

Relaxing Family Stay

We had a very relaxing stay from start to finish. Lola was great to work with. Her house is lovely and extremely comfortable. The views of the lake in the winter were beautiful. I enjoyed some “mommy time” in the sauna which really made my stay top notch.

We were 3 generations, 9 persons ages 22 months to 69 years and the house accommodated us well. Some of the furniture is worn, and the kitchen could use some updating, (too many of some items, missing others), but overall it earns 4.5 stars!

Good location in front of the lake

Good location in front of the lake, we enjoyed sauna and the lake views. The host does not provide lines, towels and even any blankets/comforters, this was quite disappointing especially it was cold on the first night

Sergey, your rating is very unfair , the house was everything that you expected to be. I list it in my listing that I don't provide linens, blankets and towels, you should not book my house if it was so important to you or you could ask it before booking. What do you mean cold first night? There is central heat and ac in the house and no limit to raise or lower temperature in addition there is gas fireplace and stand on heaters, the temperature in the house was 74-76 degree. If you mean cold outside, sorry I don't control the weather and outside temperature. I contacted you couple of times thru your stay and you said that you like everything and asked me if you can check out late on Sunday. I allowed you to stay until 5pm for free. In addition I didn't claim damage deposit for broken TV. Good luck, I wish I never have renters like you again.

Great choice for a family vacation!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Arrowhead Lake. The house was perfect for our family. Not only was it clean with all necessities, the private access to the lake and privacy is ideal. We have kids ranging from 11-16. The house is spacious enough so everyone had their own space and we never felt on top of each other. Owners are very responsive and made our stay easy. We highly recommend renting this house.

Great location

We had a wonderful stay at this home. When we first arrived we saw a big parking space that fit 5 cars and a small trailer for kayaks. When you enter the house there is a large area to put beach chairs , umbrellas, and fishing equipment. We also stored a stroller there. This is where the washer and dryer are as well. On the other side of this room was a tv room that had a large couch and two chairs. A small bathroom is in that area as well. When you go upstairs there is an open concept with kitchen , dining room and living room. We were able to fit 6 adults around table for dinner. There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on that level. Upstairs you’ll find two more bedrooms and a bathroom with a futon in the open loft. We used all of the bedrooms as well as the tv room on ground floor. A lot of TVs were available. We cooked almost every night for dinner; enough dishes, pans, and silverware available. We used the deck a lot with its 4 chairs and sofa; also had a swing which I used a lot. You can see the lake between the trees. This house was conducive to a toddler because we had a crib in one of the rooms and brought a gate for the bottom of the steps so I felt safe with him running around. We brought kayaks and had them by the dock. We also enjoyed sitting on the dock in the morning when it was cool and watching sunset at night. The location was perfect. Three minute walk to beach where there was a playground. Approximately 10 minute walk to island pool which was the best pool in my opinion. We went to wawa, Murphy hideaway , Chinese food, and mini golf which had great ice cream. Lola, the owner, was very accommodating. Always answered all of our question and concerns in a timely manner. Very hospitable. If you want a house on the lake with a great location I would recommend this home.

Lake was closed due to E Coli!!!

We could not use the lake! Was closed due to E Coli in the water Very disappointing and basically ruined the trip We got that house to walk to beach Not drive!!! All else was good!

Dear David , For safety reason community checks water quality in the lake daily. Unfortunately they found E-Coli bacteria in the lake and closed the beach for 4 days. It happens very rare, it didn't happen last year , and this year it happens only once when you were there. Sorry it spoiled your vacation , but it is something that is not in my control. BTW , there are other lake and 3 other beaches and 3 pools in community were open and available for use. I am glad you liked the house and everything else. Lola

We were not impressed by this house. We have stayed in quite a few properties on home away and have never been disappointed. We were very disappointed in this house as we specifically rented because they had air conditioning since our one daughter was 7 mths pregnant and always warm and the other just delivered and had her 1 month and 2 yr old with her. The air conditioner did not work at all in fact it blew hot air into the rooms. It was never fixed while we were there I only was reimbursed $45 for not having air. Also the beds were squeaky and not comfortable. Also the one main bathroom smelled like urine. Did not meet the usual standards I have had in previous rental properties. I have also not received my security deposit back and it’s been over 2 weeks.

I don't know what was the real reason for such bad untrue review. I was more than nice to this renters, I liked them. I allowed them early check-in and very late checkout. They stayed in the house for 3 nights only. I personally prepared the house and met them . They were very happy with everything in the house. They told me that they love the house. The tenant claims that A/C didn't work, not true. Two days prior the rental I had technician replace my old thermostats with new NEST thermostats. Everything was working fine until they broke it. I don't trust cleaners and always clean my house myself and bathrooms was very clean. The urine smell in the bathroom is possible because they had little kids in the house. Yes, I reimbursed my tenant $45 for non-working A/C(even the temperature outside was less than 70 degree), I didn't know at that time than they broke it And the last, is the security deposit. The security deposit is held by Homeaway, I don't have access to it. The Homeaway releases it as scheduled. But when my tenant contacted me asking about security deposit I asked the Homeaway to release it immediately and they did. According to Homeaway she received the security deposit on Sep1,2018.In 10 days after the rental dates. Best, Lola

Pleasant and well located.

Overall the house was great and perfect for kids. We stayed 10 days and had a blast with a 400 meter walk to the beach and a 1/2 mile walk to the pool life is relaxing.

We built this house in 2006 for our son who was 2 years old at that time.
We really enjoyed coming here from Brooklyn on weekends and spend time with our friends and family. Most of our friends bought the houses in Arrowhead lake community as well. Since my son got older and we don't come here as often as we did before we do part time short term rental. This rental is our home and you are welcome here.
