Rosemary was the perfect host with prompt replies and excellent ideas. The apartment had everything you required when travelling around including a local Chateau wine on arrival. Close to restaurants and chateaus it was the perfect location. Beautiful quiet cobblestone street.
We had a wonderful stay; loved the location and apartment was just right for us-would not hesitate to stay here again; it was nice that it was on the ground floor and off of a quaint street a short walk to everything; parking seemed a little bit intimidating at first, but we never had a problem finding space in the free parking by the river; it really was lovely!
The apartment was just as advertised - located on an old street near the heart of Blois. Everything was within easy walking distance. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Rosemary was super helpful and responsive. Check-in and check-out was easy.
The apartment was beautiful and well appointed. It is a studio apartment that comfortably sleeps two. The location was perfect - lots of shops and restaurants very close by. The buildings are very old and quite picturesque. Rosemary was a just delightful host. Very responsive and offered helpful suggestions (the Saturday farmers market was wonderful).
I would definitely stay again!
We spent a month-long working vacation in France, and one of our stops is the Loire Valley. Chatel Rose is the perfect place for us to explore the chateaux and wines in the region during the day and work in the evenings. The apartment is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and the well-appointed kitchen has everything. The restaurants are close by, not far from the city center, and the River Loire is a block away which makes for nice after dinner strolls. Our host Rosemary is very gracious and helpful, making our stay thoroughly enjoyable.
Quality apartment with many amenities in historic Blois
Romantic apartment (high ceilings, chandelier, casement widows with shutters, bath robes, quality linen, very comfortable king size bed) with all that you need for a good holiday - Nespresso machine, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, well appointed kitchen, wifi. Owner went out of her way to make sure that our stay was enjoyable and her recommendations for dining and sightseeing were invaluable and reflected her intimate knowledge of this historic city and the Loire Valley more generally. We felt safe and indulged. We would highly recommend.
This appartment has been lovingly furnished and decorated in keeping with the medieval setting of the building. It was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed and a good shower. There is a great choice of restaurants within a few minutes walk but if you wish to cook for yourself the kitchen area has a combination microwave and a halogen hob. Every utensil you could need is provided along with a range of lovely crockery, a good sized fridge, a dishwasher and a coffee machine. There is also a shared outside space in the secret garden in the shelter of the cathedral. Communication with the owner, Rosemary, was very good and she provides lots of information on places to visit. As well as walking along the beautiful River Loire we really enjoyed our visits to Blois and Chambord Chateaux, the Cathedral, the Basilica and St Nicholas' church. The house of magic with its six headed dragon and magic shows is also not to be missed.
We had a wonderful seven night stay recently in Châtel Rose. We stayed in Blois as a base to explore the Chateaux of the Loire and felt like we were staying in our own little Chateau! The apartment is located in a historic pedestrian part of Blois, within walking distance to many bars, restaurants, shops and grocery stores. The extensive Saturday market is only a few blocks away and well worth a visit.
The apartment is well decorated, immaculately clean, comfortable and very well equipped. We love to cook when we travel and the kitchen did not lack for anything. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was equally well furnished with a quality shower, robes, hair towel and hair dryer. The garden is a hidden gem and was a wonderful place to enjoy a glass of rosé.
Rosemary was a perfect host. She communicated from the time of booking and was very responsive anytime we had questions. She is very knowledgeable about the area and provided information on how get to Blois from Paris, as well as directions to the apartment. She also gave excellent suggestions in terms of what to see and where to eat. Rosemary met us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the apartment. She went above and beyond by driving us to the car rental agency to pick up our car when we had difficulty getting a cab. In short, we highly recommend a stay in Châtel Rose!

Beautiful, well-planned amenities in a lovely space. Close to the heart of Blois. Host was extremely responsive to helping us figure out an issue we created with the internet (we unplugged it 😜). Definitely stay here again!
We loved this apartment in the downtown section of Blois, close to the main restaurants and attractions. It was perfect for the two of us for our 3 day stay. Parking is nearby, really only 2 blocks away so the drop off was quiet easy. A quiet street. As it is in the main level sometimes you could hear passer bys but as it is a quiet street it was no bother to us. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a separate toilet room which is nice. Rosemary the host was very helpful and communicated through out our visit to check on us. A lovely little shared patio for relaxing at the end of the day. We found this to be a great base for our day trips to the chateaus and countryside. Lots of good restaurants mere minutes away. Lovely stay.
This flat was immaculately clean, and very pretty. The owner responded immediately to our questions and came over when we had some difficulty with the internet. We were able to walk to the chateau and all around town to cafes and shops from this flat. We were able to use public transportation from this location with a short walk. We would have loved to stay longer but ran out of time on this trip.

Why they chose this property
We love the fact that it is in a cobbled street in the mediaeval section of Blois, close to bars and restaurants but in a quiet part of the area. We love its high ceiling and fireplace and its little hidden garden.
What makes this property unique
We have done everything to make sure it has modern comfort in an historical French setting. Although you need to climb one and a half flights of stairs to reach the garden, it is a haven in the middle of historical centre of town. It is fully equipped for self-catering but also close to many restaurants. You can easily stroll down to the river for an evening walk or up the stone stairs for a breathtaking view of the Loire from the town hall gardens.
