Jeffrey, thank you for choosing to stay with us on your recent visit to Miami. It was a pleasure to meet your lovely family and thank you for being such wonderful guests.

Victoria, I was very disappointed to receive your two star review. We advised very clearly from the start, that we are always happy to work with an early checkin and/or a late checkout, depending on if the dates are available. We did give you a very early checkin on the day you arrived. The day before your trip ended, we received a last minute booking for the following day (the day you were checking out), so we were unable to accommodate a late checkout. We did state from the very beginning when you first inquired about booking, “it is based on availability”. We did not mislead you in any way. On the contrary, we were very specific that it isn’t guaranteed, it’s only possible if the dates don’t get booked. It’s very difficult when we work so hard to maintain the property in top notch condition, to be reviewed so badly on something that was entirely out of our control.

Stephen I was very disappointed to read your review, however what you have posted here is not at all what you wrote to me personally. In fact you messaged me that the house was beautiful and that Eddy and I had been great . You also informed me that the main problem was that your wife had a family emergency and had to leave from your vacation early, so she never came with you to the house. You also stated that several family members had to cancel and never arrived at all, so you said there were many personal factors that had affected your vacation. You were booked for two nights, but decided to leave after the first night and messaged me to let me know. I said we would come over to meet with you to address any issues, but you said you preferred to return to your family in Fort Myers. As soon as we received your message we responded in person, but you had already left by the time we arrived. We also exchanged several messages, so I do not understand why you say there was a lack of communication during your one day stay. We communicated very quickly with you at all times, but you did not advise us of any problems during your stay, only when you were leaving. You said two of the TVs were not working, however we went over to the home after your departure, the TVs were working in all of the rooms, possibly you had the wrong remotes. You did also tell me that you found an avocado eaten in the kitchen and we had our exterminator company go out that same day. You personally wrote to me that the home was beautiful and said we had been very responsive. You also said that due to the aforementioned extenuating circumstances that the trip was disappointing, but that it was not in any way a reflection on us. We are both retired and work very hard to maintain the home and try to ensure our guests have a great vacation. It is impossible to never have issues, but to say the house is neglected is just not true. The house is maintained immaculately and the majority of our guests love the property. We really strive to do everything possible to fix any issues very quickly. At the end of it all, we also offered to take care of your next trip if you ever returned to Miami. I was very surprised and saddened to read your review here and see that you posted 2 stars. This is not at all what you communicated to me directly and I really feel your stay was impacted by your personal circumstances.
