Both born and raised in Lancaster County, each only a few miles from where we currently live, we left Lancaster in 2006 when Brandon joined the U.S. Navy. We have lived in Virginia Beach, Augusta Georgia, Monterey California, and Kapolei Hawaii (while making a short stop, somewhere along the way, in Pensacola Florida to complete some training and have a baby - the first of 3). After Hawaii we returned to Lancaster to be near our families once again, while Brandon makes the long daily commute to the Baltimore area where he continues to be active duty. As for me? I run a vacation rental now, :) as I do some weekly volunteer work, and care for our home and 3 school-aged children

Why they chose this property

We purchased our home (a former grist mill built in 1770) about two years ago. It was, for us, a dream come true that exceeded our wildest imagination. We thought we were purchasing our dream home. But what we discovered in the days and weeks after moving in, was that it is so much more than just a dream HOME. It's a whole perfect package. lying in bed to the sound of the stream from the open windows! The ethereal fog that lays in the valley each morning of summer! The bullfrogs croaking by the pond! Relaxing with a glass of wine on the porch swing by the stream! The brilliance of the stars, so bright! The breathtaking display of the sun as it sets! The beauty. The quiet. The serenity. It truly is the most remarkable of places. So much more than just a home, it's an entire experience in every sense. We feel so blessed to call it home and we are so thrilled and honored to be able to share "our valley" with you!
