About this property

Waters Edge

Waters Edge is a custom house built specifically for entertaining guests for a truly memorable vacation with family or friends.
The house is a open floor plan that flows from the beautiful interior to the amazing exterior and surrounding waterfront.
I created this home for a truly wonderful guest experience. This home is what I have learned during the last 10 years with owning 5 other vacation rentals and managing other properties and I placed it all into this magnificent home.
The home consists of 5,000 sqft of interior space and 1200 sqft of cover porch space along with 800 sqft of sun deck area with a heated pool, plus 1200 sqft of brick patio with a hot tub.

Pool is normally opened mid May and closes in September, all depends on the weather.
Hot Tub is open year round.

*** Listing price is for 8 guests in 4 of the bedrooms. These bedrooms include: First Floor Master, Two Basement Bedrooms and The Loft Bedroom.

There’s an additional fee of $1000 during peak season while the pool is open and $600 in off season when pool is closed. If you choose to have all 7 bedrooms and want to bring more than 8 guests, which brings your total guest amount to 16. The house and property is designed for a maximum occupancy of 16 including any guests that you may have stop over during the day.
Please let me know if you need all 7 bedrooms even if you only have 8 guests. So an additional payment request can be taken care of through the site. The fee is a one time charge for the length of your stay.

Beautiful house and property that my extended family consisting of 14 people (ranging from ages 8 to 81) thoroughly enjoyed. Just bring your own groceries and the kitchen is stocked with everything else anyone could need. My brother-in-law brought his own kayaks and body boards so we could explore the river and tiny island across from the property. Brian was a great host; always available to answer all of our questions (and we had a lot) about the house and things to do in the area.

If I could give the property 1,000 stars I would! The pictures and descriptions do not do it justice! The house was full of luxuries and thoughtful touches! Two stoves, two dishwashers, commercial refrigerator and freezer! Beautifully appointed! Sooooo comfortable! Immaculate! We stayed with my husband’s 5 siblings and their spouses! Everyone had their own space and zero complaints! The common spaces were more than able to accommodate us all! Family dinners were special events and conversations on the deck created forever memories! We highly recommend the host and the property!

Hidden Gem

13 of us from our extended family stay here annually for a few years now. We love it and it's a hidden gem not too far from home. Plenty of outdoorsy activities, room to play for lots of kids, and the owner is great. I almost don't want to leave a good review so we can keep it our little secret (it's that awesome). You won't be disappointed if you stay here.

Beautiful home. We all had plenty of room, 12 total. Very clean. Accurate to pictures on site. Very easy check in, and Brian was very helpful showing us the house. We all loved our stay. The sunrise and sunsets were gorgeous over the lake view.

Peaceful tranquility

Our stay was lovely. The property and home were perfect! The train passed by 1 time per day in the morning and we were all so excited. The train passed by 4-5 times at night but no guests were bothered. We never left the home after we arrived doing all of our cooking on site and at the grill. We were so impressed that we are staying there again next summer!

What abplace

We were traveling for my son’s wedding and needed a large place form my family and extended family to stay. We found Water’s Edge. The photos don’t do it justice. What a great place that was plenty large enough that we weren’t on top of each other. The host met us at the place and walked us through. He was very generous and gave us the ins and outs of the place. The rooms were great and the place was super clean. There is so much to do in the area. Some complain about the trains running through the back, while they are noticeable, they weren’t awful. We would like to visit in the summer time and take advantage of the water and the pool. This is definitely a place we will try and stay again. Thanks Brian for your hospitality.

Awesome Place

Hey Folks , Once again we had a great stay , The owner allowed us to bring our green egg grill along , which we greatly appreciated , The owner has a large gas grill on-site on the deck , but we like to use the charcoal for smoking our meat , This is our second year here with my employee's and there is always plenty to do , Great , Clean , Quite location ,The owner is great to work with and flexible , We look forward to booking this place again next year Wish everyone God's Love , Wagontown Exteriors LLC

Family weekend on the water

Brian’s beautiful property on the water was fantastic! My family and I rented the property for a special family gathering and birthday celebration. The home was spotless, the beds were very comfortable and the amenities were excellent (hot tub, pool, pool table, etc). Brian was very responsive to any questions I had. He is very thoughtful with how he stocks and prepares the property - e.g. pool toys, ice maker, and there were even retractable baby gates in front of the stairwells. This property was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! I would highly recommend this property and property owner to anyone!

Paradise in Pequea

This house is fabulous. Our family met here to celebrate Christmas together and this was a central location for everyone. Plenty of parking space and plenty of room for everyone. Everything was immaculate and the house included a binder explaining anything you would need to know. Brian, the owner, made sure we had everything we needed and was also extremely helpful when a storm knocked out the power. Thank goodness for the backup generator! I couldn’t be more pleased with the time we spent here and we all hope to return in the future!

Absolutely wonderful!

My extended family and I came from 2 different states to reunite and make some memories. We were able to do just that. This home is absolutely beautiful inside and out. It has everything you could possibly need. The kitchen is HUGE and being able to all sit together to eat was a big plus. There’s so much to do that you would have an amazing vacation even without going anywhere. However, it is in a great location and isn’t too far from Hershey or Lancaster. The owner, Brian, was very helpful before and during our trip! You couldn’t ask for anyone nicer or more helpful. I was concerned about the train, but it wasn’t loud or shaky at all. We actually started looking forward to seeing it every night. If we’re ever in need of going back to PA, we would definitely stay here again!

Nature Lovers' Paradise

Everything in the other rave reviews is true! House is immaculate, baths are elegant, Brian is friendly and responsive, kitchen great for lots of cooking, loved having one table for all 16 of us. We enjoyed the games (volleyball, pool, etc.) and hot tub and pool and the trains (especially my son with ASD!) VERY valuable to us were having a bedroom and bathroom that required no stairs, reliable wi-fi despite having approximately one bazillion devices connected to it, and the awesome deck overlooking the Susquehanna. None of us were very familiar with Lancaster County, but we were all charmed by its many farm markets (local eggs and bacon and ice cream!) covered bridges and parks, which all had clear trail maps posted. But what was truly amazing was how much nature we could enjoy right on the property. The bird watching was incredible. We saw bald eagles almost every day and got to watch one for an hour as he ate a fish at river’s edge – sharing it with black and turkey vultures! A Pileated Woodpecker pecked at an old tree stump until he was dive bombed by a pair of Eastern Bluebirds which drove him off. From the deck we also saw Baltimore Orioles (and spotted their nest), Orchard Orioles, Gold finches, Cedar Waxwings, and many others. The deck is especially great if you have a nature lover in the family who can no longer go for long hikes in the woods because you can see so much while sitting comfortable outside under a fan! Great house for a multi-generation gathering!

Surprises!

Our stay included 11 adults. Plenty of room and loved the dining table to fit all. Nicely appointed kitchen (cabinet labels would have been nice) and bathrooms (loved the rainshowers), gameroom and extra amenities. Very pretty view of the river and wildlife that lives there. Nice quiet area, however let's talk about the elephant in the room. And for some reason never gets covered in the description of the property or appears in ANY reviews. Trains! When asked about them, was told only 4 or 5 in late afternoon and early evening. The reality: there were 11 trains that passed (just 25 feet from the deck) in the first 24 hours of our stay, between the hours of 4 pm and 6:30 am. 12+ hours of rattling, vibrating, awakening, startling noise. Some trains took as long as 8 minutes to clear. Over 100 cars. Sounds like fun to watch, but wreaks havoc if you like your sleep. I would think it would be a safety hazzard for small children playing in the yard since the only warning is the oncoming vibration. On subsequent days there were anywhere from 6 to 12 trains per day, most at night. Our stay included weekdays and a weekend. If you are a train enthusiast, this is the place for you. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs and a loud noise canceling machine. In addition, when I booked this property on vrbo for (clearly) 11 people, apparently the fee is only for up to 8 people. Be wary. The owner offered to cancel our reservation if we didn't agree to additional fees.

Chefs dream kitchen with plenty of space to create a masterpiece of a meal for your family to enjoy. Seating for everyone at the custom table to seat 16. Game room in the basement with pool table and bar area to chill at. 7 bedrooms with beds for up to 16 guests.
