About this property

Casa Linda Summary:<br>R

Summary:
Richly decorated with saturated colors and hand-painted tiles traditional to Mexican design, Casa Linda is as welcoming and comfortable as being in your own beloved home. Nor will you be short on privacy, since the first bedroom is downstairs, next to the pool and the second bedroom is upstairs in a darling “granny flat” unit. We also love that it is just steps away from our famous malecón beachside promenade, as well as a few blocks from our most beloved local restaurants.

The Space:
Casa Linda is not an impersonal “house” but rather a true home, full of warmth and character. It’s so cute my daughter-in-law wants to steal it!!!

Traditional ceramic floors and intricate murals cover the well-lit, rustic rooms, all of them vibrant with the colors and textures of Mexico.

The kitchen, dining room, and living room together create one large common space. It opens up into the backyard terrace and pool area, which can be independently accessed through the master bedroom.

The backyard “granny flat,” which sports its own kitchen, affords the possibility of housing an additional party—friends, children, or the in-laws—providing the privacy of their own environment, while keeping the proximity one gets by sharing a house.

Casa Linda has a very spacious garage with an electric door, easily capable of fitting two SUVs.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to all areas of the house, including the bedrooms, granny flat, kitchen, living room, dining room, backyard terrace, pool area, and laundry room. There are air conditioning units in every room of the house.

We take pride in using non-toxic cleaning products for our housekeeping service, providing a healthier and more natural alternative, while being just as effective to synthetic-based conventional cleaners.

We are making efforts towards water conservation in La Paz. We are adopting water-efficient technologies, growing mostly native vegetation in our decorative gardens, promoting responsible water usage, and building urban rainwater capture basins.

Finally, we provide canvas grocery bags you can use in your trips to the local stores, farmer’s and fish markets.

The Neighborhood:
A two-minute walk away is the seaside promenade. When you’re not in the mood to stroll or splash in the warm waters, you can explore the many restaurants and bars that overlook the Sea of Cortez.

Just around the corner from the house is a small restaurant, La Casa de La Abuelita, with regional snacks and hors d’oeuvres.

Only a block away is our favorite breakfast place, María California. Within the same radius are two great restaurants: La Casita, an excellent place with tasty salads and entrees and a nice patio bar, and Dulce Romero, a hip, organic sandwich shop and bakery. There is also a great butcher shop nearby where you can buy excellent meats in case you want to have a cookout.

Casa Linda is the perfect place to explore Baja California Sur’s only true Mexican city, set like a pearl in the crown of the Bay of La Paz. Your days can be spent wandering the shops and markets, strolling the Malecón or heading to the islands for scuba diving, snorkeling, or playing with the sea lion cubs.

Getting Around:
From the La Paz airport: You can take a taxi or rent a car.*

To the boardwalk , restaurants, bars, downtown and main square where the cathedral and plaza are located, the farmer´s market, municipal market and supermarket: All are at WALKING DISTANCE.

To the outlying beaches: You can drive, or take a taxi, or a tour. If you take a taxi, do not forget to arrange your return or ask him to wait for your.*

General Notes:

•You can take the public bus one block from the house.
•And you can take UBER to go to everywere (except the airport).

*We can make arrangements with reliable drivers without extra costs.

Other Things to Note:
Casa Linda is an excellent place for housing two parties, due to the separate granny flat that has its own lounge and kitchen. The granny flat is on the second floor, and is accessible via stairs in the backyard.

Interaction with Guests:
Ana, our customer service specialist, is available at any hour during your stay.

Darling!!
Clean and comfortable! The beds were heavenly and the plunge pool was fabulous! Well stocked kitchen and only 2 blocks from the malicon. The best part however was the property manager. Very prompt and accommodating! We accidentally left some cash, and was returned! Will definitely be back! Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️

Wonderful Low Key Stay in La Paz
Great property to visit while we were in La Paz. Close enough to walk down to the Malecón and other local restaurants. Place was clean and properly appointed with everything you’d need on your vacation. Would definitely stay here again. House rules were more than reasonable and host was very responsive.

Second Visit to La Paz
We liked Casa Linda very much. It is a very comfortable house and it had everything we needed. It is a nice neighborhood close to everything. We were surprised that we had to go outside and upstairs to access the second bedroom. Also, there is a problem with the lock on the door handle upstairs. We really appreciate that we were able to check in early when we arrived on the first day. The communication from your team is excellent. We will look to rent a Vrbo with you again on a future trip to La Paz. Thank you

About the host

My name is Monica. I grew up in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, and have lived La Paz for the last six years. During that time, I've grown roots into the community through educational programs and efforts to advance environmental conscience in the form of organic gardens, recycling, and sustainable water-management practices.

Why they chose this property

What makes this property unique

It has a fully furnished independent second floor apartment accesible by stairs.

As La Paz doesn’t have a city recycling program, we go the extra mile and arrange for recycling ourselves. We offer recycling bins for our guests, which we then transport to proper recycling facilities outside of town.
