And with two full bathrooms, you’ll have plenty of comfort and privacy.

Bourbon Trail vacation

Great location in Louisville. Easy to get downtown, restaurants, nightlife, and highway access to do day trips. Beautiful home, lots of character. Great communication with owner!

Nice house, good communication but very busy road/hard to sleep

Hi. The Barrett house was super cute, clean and well stocked with comfortable beds. The house sits on a main road with a couple of bars across the street. It was SO loud at night with cars, people, music and even fireworks for no apparent reason. The bedrooms are right beside the window and it was very very loud at night. Great communication with the host but noisemakers or something to drown out noise would be a must for me to stay again. Thanks.

We stayed at this charming house over a long weekend. There was plenty of rooms, two kitchens and you cannot beat the location. Would absolutely stay there again!

Great house in Louisville!

We had a great stay and loved the house! James was easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. The house was clean and kitchen was stocked with snacks, coffee, and water bottles.We were a bit surprised to find that one of the bedrooms is just a queen bed in the down stairs common area (the house is split into 2 separate identical units). Luckily this wasn’t a big issue for our group, but the couple in that “bedroom” didn’t have much privacy. We enjoyed walking to the bars and restaurants nearby even in the cold weather!

Loved the Barret House!

The Barret House is a great place to stay in Louisville!! It’s close to everything and the two condos together were perfect for our family of 8, we were provided with everything we needed.

Could Not Stay due to extreme weather - but host was excellent!

I am not able to fully rate the property, since we were unable to stay here due to the significant snowfall in Louisville. Despite that, I did want to pass along praise for the host, James! He was a great communicator throughout and incredibly helpful in every way! 5 stars for James and I hope to return and stay at this property and explore Louisville (without snow!!) in the future!

We had a great time!! James was a fantastic host and great communicator! There is so much to and explore in Louisville and this property is great location, close to everything. We even did a day trip to Mammoth Cave National Park (1.5hrs)

First time trail blazers

Booked the Barrett House based on location and comments from previous guests. The accommodations were perfect for 3 couples or 6 friends as long as you don’t mind walking past one of the beds to get to the bathroom downstairs. Very Clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. It would be helpful to get a few new toasters and a few frying pans, but otherwise well equipped! I would highly recommend the Barrett House.

Great host, great place, great location

So much to do in that neighborhood! There’s a friendly neighborhood bar right across the street from the house with great cocktails. And a few blocks down there’s so many restaurants and bars to choose from! James was super easy to communicate with and was very accessible if we ever needed anything. And the home was very clean, the second story living space made for a great hangout during our downtime. Would definitely stay here again next time we come to town.

Ideal Location in Louisville

We had a lovely stay here for a few days. James is a communicative and enthusiastic host. The space is clean, spacious, and accommodates a flexible range of needs. As others mention, there is a bit of street noise, but it didn’t really affect us. Beds are comfortable and you’re a short walk from tons of attractions, restaurants, and bars. The architecture throughout the neighborhood is a museum in itself. Highly recommend this place!

Amazing house!

Rented this house for a long weekend to enjoy bourbon tours and opening night at Churchill downs and this place did not disappoint! Amazing location and even more amazing owners who were very welcoming and checked in on us during the weekend. House is excellent. Great design, updated, and well stocked. The owners even left us snacks and goodies! The location is perfect. Great neighborhood with an adorable bar across the street! We will come back and stay here again when our travels return us to Louisville!

Great house and communication

House was just as described and James was very easy to communicate with throughout the entire stay. It was nice to have a small bar across the street for an end of the night cocktail. It can get really noisy at night as mentioned in other reviews but nothing that a sound machine couldn't fix. Location was great as it was only 10 minutes or less to all the places we had on our list to visit. Overall a very nice house and would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the Louisville area.

Bourbon Weekend!

Three couples for a quick weekend, great place to stay. Close to downtown and so many cool spots right near the house. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to check those out because we already had so many plans. Property owner supplied all kinds of helpful information and extremely easy to work with. Two kitchens in the unit! Beds comfortable, lots of space. Was concerned about the noise potential given the location and other reviews, but didn’t bother us at all! Would definitely stay again.
