Traditional Irish Barn in Beautiful and Tranquil Countryside

WELCOME to Adare Irish Cottages which is situated just 3 km (2 miles) from the picturesque village of Adare and 14km (9 miles) from Limerick city, set in the heart of beautiful and tranquil Irish countryside.

This perfectly secluded Traditional Barn enjoys 2 large bedrooms, together with a well-appointed kitchen, delightful sitting-room and private grounds with lawns and fruit trees.

The Barn is available for rent throughout the year. Ideal for those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life with access to all amenities in the village of Adare. Adare is located just 40 minutes drive from Shannon airport.

A flower garden and courtyard enhance Summer enjoyment while the cosy interiors create a special atmosphere of warmth and comfort during the winter.

We are happy to book the Barn for extended family stays.

There is a large enclosed area all around the property which makes it very secure for children. Nearby, a working farm offers the opportunity to see farm animals and wildlife in their natural habitat. Access to the property is through security gates, for added peace of mind.

Adare has two superb golf courses including the championship Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort, which hosted the Irish Open in 2007 & 2008 and the world-famous Ballybunion Golf Course is only an hour s drive away. An excellent Pitch & Putt course is also located in Adare.

BOOK THIS! 10/10
Picture turning down a private, crushed gravel lane lined with hedges and pastures. Its just you, a cozy stone cottage, gardens and sky set back in the pasture with a forest behind that. Life slows down here. Breathe and let the cutest pair of Corgi pups come up to greet you on this 140 acre working farm. Start a log in the fireplace and have a cup of tea. This place is so secluded, we never touched our door keys the entire time we were in residence. In reality, you're just a few miles to Adare. 18 minutes from Limerick, but to you... you've just stepped through time and gone back to a simplier life long ago. I have stayed at many VRBO properties over the years, and I can honestly say, this is my #1 choice. You will become part of the family once you meet Joan, and son, David. They are attentive, willing to help you navigate how things work in the cottage and in Ireland in general. They're just a call away, or you may see them out and about working the farm. After staying 8 days with my Mother and Daughter in Ireland, and driving through Cork, Limerick, Lahinch, Dingle and Dublin, all three of us agreed on our favorite memory of our time in Ireland. It was enjoying cheese, port, sausage and fruit in the front garden outside the stone barn. How extraordinary! We had kissed the Blarney Stone, done a Dingle ocean safari, walked the Cliffs of Moher, done all the big tours in Dublin, and still - a quiet evening of sipping port outside, soaking up the blue sky view of the stone barn and adjascent thatched house had won the prize. That's the Irish experience we were looking for and found. Thank you, David and Joan for your amazing and much appreciated hospitality! Sandy, Pat & Samantha

The most perfect Irish stay
We loved every moment of our stay in the cottage and were sad to leave. David was a wonderful host and welcomed us with a fire in the fireplace and a birthday cake because we were on a birthday trip. The cottage was adorable and comfortable and lacked nothing. We loved the town of Adare, too, and found the area to be perfectly situated for exploring various other locations each day. Our stay here was the perfect introduction to Ireland, and it's easily one of my top 3 rentals ever.

Family Time in Ireland
We came to visit our son/grandson who is a graduate student at Cork University. He had an itinerary of places he wanted us to see so we spent most of our time away from the house but it was so nice to come back each evening to such a lovely place.

Magical
It was like staying in a storybook. More beautiful than pictures can show…and there’s Irish history in these buildings. You can take long walks around the property, and the town of Adare is a short distance. It’s easy to get groceries etc. We loved it! David and family were delightful, and we fell in love with their little dogs. Hope to be back one day!
