This Beautifully decorated bottom-floor Townhouse is a great getaway spot to enjoy your family vacation. The shared pool is just steps from the front door. When you are tired of swimming, you can sun beside the pool in lounge chairs or cool off in the shaded sitting area. It is approximately a 1/2 mile drive by car or a fun golf cart ride to the beach. Take advantage of our golf cart rentals to experience it all like a local. This property has a spacious open floor plan perfect for entertaining. There are wood grain tile floors throughout. The living room has plenty of seating which is arranged for you to be able to interact with those at the dining table or kitchen area and never miss out on the conversation or fun. It has a large flat-screen tv, high-speed internet and cable, a ceiling fan, and a sofa sleeper. The modern kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, a regular coffee maker, granite countertops, and stocked cabinets with cookware for your culinary needs. The wooden dining table has seating for 6. The private Master bedroom (BR1) has a king-size bed, flat-screen TV, an ensuite bathroom, and a large closet for your beach attire. The master bathroom has double vanities, a separate jetted tub, and a walk-in tile shower with a glass door. Guest bedroom #2 (BR2) has a queen-size bed, ceiling fan, and nightstand lighting. Guest bedroom #3 (BR3) is decorated in a beach theme with 2 twin beds. The guest rooms share a bathroom with a shower/tub combination unit. The laundry closet between the kitchen and master bedroom contains a stackable washer & dryer unit. The back patio is just off of the kitchen.

Great condo

This condo was a fantastic place to stay. The location was great and near the beach. (2 minute drive). It was clean and nicely decorated. I would definitely book it again.

Great place for you family in Port A!

The townhome was perfect for our family, I really liked the layout of the property! Plus the kitchen was stocked with everything you could need for cooking and being comfortable! Loved it and we had a blast 😊

Just what the doctor ordered

The home was perfect and provided all that we needed. The easy access to golf cart rental was a definite plus. We are already planning our next getaway in October.

Nice and quiet

Just as advertised, no clever photography as some of my previous VRBO stays. We rented a golf cart for the week and it was nice having a designated parking spot. Check-in was easy as was check-out. Overall, nice stay.

Relaxing family getaway

Port A has been our son’s family traditional summer getaway for 13 years. This year they wanted us to make the 2100 mile trip to TX to go with them. It was great to finally see “their spot” and they were excited to show us around. They have stayed in many places over the years, and said that “Our Happy Place” was a great selection ! It was the perfect size and layout for Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dad, and the 12 & 10 year olds.

Clean and spacious

Nice layout, master on one end and 2 bedrooms on the other end, great for teenage kids. Very nice beach decorations and furniture. It's a very short drive to the beach. No views from the unit, you see the parking lot from the front and a fence from the back. But if you are at the beach all day it's not that big of a deal.

The house has been beautifully decorated. The pool was nice and we were not far from the beach. All the beds were extremely comfortable and we found cards in the drawer under the table, which was awesome because I had forgotten mine! When we come back to Port A we would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay!

We were very happy with the property and would return again. It was very spacious and was able to accommodate us all very comfortably. The only issue we ran into was that the hot water was a little finicky--once we figured out how to use the tankless water heater (by running the tub and both sinks on "hot" along with the hot shower to get it to run hot), it finally worked :-) Perhaps having some instructions posted in the bathroom would be helpful for the next tenant. Thank you for the opportunity to visit the beach and make some incredible memories! <3

Good location But Some Property Issues

The decor is well done and looks just as shown in the pictures online. The floor plan is very practical and it is really nice being on the first floor. Having two refrigerators was a huge bonus and much appreciated! Unfortunately, cleanliness was a slight problem. The floor didn’t appear to have been mopped well, as my socks were black from walking around the house. I found a ball of hair on the floor in the master closet and the master shower door was really dirty with soap scum. The white linens on the master bed were also stained. There was a bag of trash sitting on the grill as well. The cookware in the kitchen is extremely cheap and in desperate need of replacing. Be sure and pack everything you need in the kitchen. There wasn’t even salt or a set of basic measuring cups. However, the most frustrating part was the wifi connectivity. We had trouble streaming anything and couldn’t even use our phones. I eventually contacted the property manager. She was friendly but not helpful and told us to go to a restaurant to watch the Olympics. She did send a tech out 24 hours later and he did not do much. Given how much we spent, I had much higher expectations and left a little disappointed. I will not stay at this property again.

Floors can sometimes accumulate residue from cleaning products, especially in high-traffic areas, but rest assured, they undergo a thorough stripping and deep clean during the low season to prevent such issues. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the kitchenware and lack of basic supplies. We will discuss this with the owner and take steps to upgrade the kitchen items so future guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay. Regarding the Wi-Fi connectivity, we understand how crucial it is to stay connected, especially during important events like the Olympics. Being on the island, internet service can indeed be hit or miss, particularly during busy periods. We are working closely with our service provider to improve the reliability of our internet connection. Your experience is important to us, and we deeply regret that we fell short during your stay. Online check in was easy. Parking right in front of the unit. Loved the beach theme decor, very comfortable for 3 adults and 2 children. Easy 2 block walk to the beach, we also rented a golf cart. Restaurants and shops were close by, overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect for family and grandparents

We stayed here with our family of 5 and my parents. The kitchen is stocked with dishes and appliances. Also provided was dish scrubber and dish washer pods. We brought our own pantry items and laundry pods. It was the perfect location too. Very close to shops and beach. Looks just like the pictures and was very clean. Would definitely stay here again. Pool towels are not included bring your own if you’re going to the pool.

Clean & Welcoming!

We stayed during Easter weekend and had a very pleasant stay. The property manager made online check-in super easy. The condo was clean and even the neighbors are very welcoming. Port Aransas is a great little town and we spent much of our time beach side. Coming back to the property and spending time with family was a great experience. All around high marks!!

Sandfest weekend

We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Heron Condo Port Aransas. Our place was very clean, quiet, and had an awesome view of the sunrise. We were happy BHC accepted pets as they enjoyed the long rides on the beach. We highly recommend BHC to anyone looking for a very nice place, low key, but just minutes away from the main entertainment and just blocks from the beach. We highly recommend the golf cart rental as the community is golf cart friendly. Can't wait to go back.
