Unique Look at History

M. Bouchard is justifiably proud of the restoration work he has done on this hunting lodge. It's three stories high, so there is a lot of house to spread out in. Lovely view over Barjols from the garden. Beds were comfortable and clean. We took advantage of the outside seating to enjoy our meals al fresco. Because of my language problem, we had some difficulty finding the rental. Unfortunately, we caused our host some inconvenience since it took us so long to actually get to the house. It's up 85 (we counted) steps, which is certainly doable with groceries, etc., but a little challenging as far as luggage is concerned. Realistically, renters won't find a parking place closer than central Barjols, and parking there is at a premium. Kitchen could have been cleaner, and the house is more rustic than photos make it appear, but overall we enjoyed the chance to experience of living in a former hunting lodge.

Insgesamt betrachtet ist es ein Objekt, dass Zwar sehr schön liegt aber durch den etwas Beschwerlichen Zugang und kaum vorhandener Parkplätze nicht ideal zu erreichen Ist. Weiterhin lies die Sauberkeit der Innenräume Sehr zu wünschen übrig. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war jedoch durchaus zufrieden stellend!

nous avons été reçu par louis qui nous à très bien accueillis. nous étions en famille a l'occasion d'un mariage donc nous avons peu profité de la maison mais tout avait l'air très fonctionnel. un immense merci a louis pour son accueil malgré le court séjour!

Provence pur und ein Haus zum Verlieben

Traumhaftes, verwunschenes Anwesen am Rande des urigen Provencestädtchens Barjols! Ein großes, altes, herrschaftliches Haus, das von dem Besitzer Louis vor dem Verfall gerettet und nun gekonnt sowie mit viel Gespür und Liebe zum Detail restauriert wurde und wird. Die Atmosphäre ist unglaublich, man fühlt sich wie aus der Zeit gefallen! Auch nach Tagen entdeckt man noch neue herrliche Details. Dabei ist alles komfortabel und gut ausgestattet. Man kann herrlich zum Essen unter dem berankten Dach sitzen, oder abends bei einem Rosé die Sonne hinter Barjols untergehen sehen. Genial sind auch die Wasserfälle, nur 2 Minuten zu Fuß vom Haus entfernt. Dort kann man auch baden oder, wenn man mutig ist, herrlich von Felsen ins Wasser springen. Wir (2 Erwachsene und 4 große Kinder) haben uns sooo wohl gefühlt ! Louis ist sehr sympathisch und die Kommunikation war total super. Rundum einfach herrlich für Menschen, die die Provence und den Charme alter Gemäuer lieben!
