About this property

Wunderful and cosy house in the heart of the canyon Verdon

Our holiday home is in the heart of the Verdon National Park at Castellane. You have full run of the entire house, three bedrooms each one with its own shower and WC, a spacious comfortable lounge with a wood burning stove, satellite TV ( in several languages) and sofa beds. The dining room is wonderfully light and gives into a terrace and outdoor BBQ. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric/ gas cooker and a washing up machine.
A garage is included where you can find the washing machine and dryer. Outside, the garden is sunny, well stocked with fruit trees and fenced all round. The house is a short 5 minute walk from the center of Castellane and gives you the opportunity to explore the Verdon National Park with its incredible canyon, lakes and dramatic moutains all round, the pictureresque villages of Haute Provence, busy markets and of course the fields of lavender on the Plateau Valensole... Or even go skiing in Allos! This is a sporting outdoors region of France, with canoeing, cross-country biking, hiking, horse riding, swimming...

Well equipped, friendly welcome online and in person. No issues with the property. Would recommend rafting available on Tuesdays and Fridays. Lots of restaurants walkable and lovely old town.

We spent a pleasant week here in April with our three young children (5, 3 and 7 months) and our friends with their infants. The accommodation was flexible enough for all our different sleeping requirements and the garden was perfect for the children (secure and with play equipment). The kitchen was well equipped and the fridge/freezer and cupboards had plenty of room for all our food for the week. A great family home stay.

Très bon emplacement pour réaliser des excursions en étoile depuis la maison mais aussi pour faire les courses (Auchan et épicerie tout près de petits producteurs locaux), profiter du centre de Castellane à 10 min à pieds... La salle de bain et WC pour chaque chambre est super pratique pdt les vacances, chacun son rythme, pas de temps d attente.Cuisine très bien équipée avec du petit électroménager de bonne qualité!Véranda très agréable

Nous avons passé de très belles vacances. la maison est confortable et assez fraiche malgré les grosses chaleurs que nous avons eu. Le propriétaire est charmant et à l'écoute. L'environnement est idéal. On peut faire ses courses à pied et aller se promener dans le village à pied. Celui-ci est très animé. La baignade dans le lac est à 7 min en voiture.

Wir waren 6 Personen und in der ersten Juli Woche im Haus . Ich kann nur positives berichten der Empfang war sehr herzlich und unkompliziert. Wir hatten 2 Autos mit einem großen und kleinen Hänger für die Motorräder . Alles hat super in den Hof gepasst, nichts musste auf der Straße stehen . Das Haus hat alles was man benötigt . Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen. Wir werden wieder kommen .

Perfekter Ort für Motorradtouren

Wir durften eine Woche Gast im Ferienhaus Les Iris von Mitch und Hanna sein. Alles war wie beschrieben und das Haus schön geräumig und vor allem kühl, wenn man die Rolläden rechtzeitig benutzt hat und die Motorräder standen sicher in der Garage. Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Patrizia, die noch mit der Endreinigung beschäftigt war, empfangen und sie hat uns alles erklärt. Alle waren immer sehr schnell per whatsapp erreichbar. Alle notwendigen Geschäfte (Supermarkt, Bioladen, Metzger, Bäcker) waren zu Fuß erreichbar im Umkreis von 800 m und die Tankstelle direkt gegenüber beim Supermarkt. Zum See konnte man ebenfalls laufen (knapp 4 km) direkt die Straße am Haus hochlaufen. Kurz, unser Urlaub war perfekt, auch den einen Tag Regen konnten wir gut im Haus verbringen. Wir waren bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal hier. Vielen Dank an Hanna, Patrizia und Mitch für alles. Veronika und Gerd aus Karlsruhe und Schweigen-Rechtenbach

Super Feriendomizil

Wir sind eine Gruppe von drei Motorradfahrern und einer Sozia und haben besonderen Wert auf ein Ferienhaus mit genügend Platz für einen Motorradanhänger und eine Garage für die Motorräder gelegt. Das Ferienhaus bietet all das. Zudem ist es ein abgeschlossenes Grundstück, nicht einsehbar mit schönem großen Garten. Das Haus selbst war perfekt für uns. Von der Küche und dem Essbereich war aufgrund der Fensterfronten sogar die Umgebung mit den Bergen zu sehen. Alles war perfekt für einen Urlaub eingerichtet. Es fehlte uns nichts. die Gastgeber sind sehr nett und unkompliziert. Die Abwicklung erfolgte völlig reibungslos. Der Supermarkt ist direkt nebenan. Castellane City ist nach 600 m zu erreichen. Das allerbeste war die Lage für uns. Nach dem gleich nebenan liegenden Kreisverkehr begannen bereits die Kurvenetappe. Wir sind so begeistert, dass wir das Ferienhaus nächstes Jahr wieder buchen werden.

perfect stay with family

Michel and Hanna offer the perfect vacation home for a family or a group of friends. Our kids loved the fully enclosed garden. The large Casino supermarket is just meters away, the Castellane city is a few minutes walk down the road. Noise is no concern at all, in fact, the nights a perfectly quiet. Gemma showed us the house and provided all information we needed. Everyone is super fast in answering any communication. We can't think of anything missing or something that could have been provided in addition - simply the perfect vacation house. Merci to the Besançon family and to Gemma! We very much enjoyed our stay!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und haben den Aufenthalt genossen. Das Haus ist wunderbar und für eine kleine Gruppe ideal. Es fehlte an nichts und frische Lebensmittel bekommt man im Casino, 50 Meter entfernt. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Location impeccable pour un séjour dans le Verdon

La maison est très agréable, conviviale et spacieuse pour 8 personnes. Il ne manque rien, tout est fonctionnel. Barbecue, plancha et terrasse. Les enfants ont apprécié le jardin et les jeux. On peut se rendre au centre ville de Castellane à pied et faire ses courses au supermarché qui se trouve juste derrière la maison. Les gorges se situent à 1 heure de voiture et le lac à 10 minutes. Merci à Otto et sa femme pour leur accueil, leur disponibilité et leurs attentions. Nous retenons l'adresse pour un prochain séjour dans le Verdon!

In dieser Ferienwohnung hat es wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Sauber, ordentlich, komplett. Alles was man braucht. Ich wurde während der gesamten Zeit sehr sehr gut betreut und habe eine Menge Tipps bekommen. Die Wohnung war in einem wunderbaren Zustand. sehr gutes Internet und Deutsches TV Alles tipptopp! Die Umgebung und das Wandern haben das Übrige zu einem tollen Urlaub geleistet. Ich bedanke mich bei Hanna, Alexandra und Raimond für einen tollen Aufenthalt und kann die Wohnung und die Gegend, allein oder mit Kindern, allen empfehlen.

Superbe grande maison conviviale

Tout, maison, acceuil, proprete, equipement (y compris wifi) a ete parfait. La maison est encore plus jolie que sur les photos, tout est tres bien fini et la decoration interieure est tres reussie. L'acceuil a ete efficace et nous avons particulierement apprecie le dossier contenant pleins d'informations pratiques indispensables sur la region . Tout est tres propre et il y a plus que suffisament de linge de maison a disposition. Les cuisines interieures et exterieures sont tres bien equipees et il y a des jeux et des livres a disposition (et meme une tele dans chaque chambre). Mais ce que nous avons le plus apprecie c'est l'excellente qualite de notre sommeil; les chambres sont parfaitement independantes /insonorisses et les matelas sont exceptionnels. Les chambres 2 et 3 sont petites, surtout en comparaison des salles de bain qui sont royales, mais on s'habitue tres vite . Vraiment tout a ete parfait et nous recommendons cette maison pour les familles (nous etions trois generations sous un meme toit) ou entre amis. La maison ofre pleins d'espace conviviaux mais est aussi tres bien concue pour que chacun puisse s'isoler quand il en a envie

Un joli petit endroit

Nous étions 9 amis et nous avons passé une super semaine dans une très belle maison. L’accueil auquel nous avons eu le droit était super. L’emplacement est magnifique et il est facile de se rendre partout en voiture. La maison était très confortable malgré le grand nombre que nous étions.

Well equipped

We really liked this property, plenty of room and well equipped and very handy for the supermarket! We used it as a base for exploring the area on our motorbike and this property not only provided a secure garage but also a comfy environment to relax in whether that was using the outside BBQ, the nice garden area or the comfy living room. We would definitely return here for another visit.

Motorrad-Urlaub in Südfrankreich

Wir haben eine super Zeit in Castellane verbracht! Das Haus war groß und sehr gut ausgestattet. Familie Besancon war sehr freundlich und immer erreichbar. Wir können das Ferienhaus mit gutem Gewissen weiterempfehlen!
