Ski access / flexibility:
Located in Landry, in the Tarentaise Valley (Savoie), Chalet Sterwen is close to Peisey-Vallandry, Les Arcs, La Plagne and provides easy access to La Rosière – La Thuile (Italy).
The main advantage of Chalet Sterwen lies in its three entry points to the Paradiski ski area (Les Arcs – La Plagne), all about 6 km away with ski rental and ski schools nearby:
• The Bourg-Saint-Maurice funicular takes you directly to Arc 1600 in 7 minutes — a technical marvel connecting the valley and the mountains. A free ski shuttle in front of the chalet takes you there. Large parking is available at the funicular if you drive.
• The Peisey-Nancroix cable car provides access to Vallandry in 6 minutes, a crossroads between Les Arcs and La Plagne.
• Montchavin-Les Coches (La Plagne side) gives direct access to a family-friendly resort in the middle of the pines and the Bellecôte glacier.
• There is also access to the chairlift to La Rosière 10 km from the chalet (easy parking), opening the door to Italy and La Thuile (Aosta Valley). A full day in Italy, with panoramic slopes, warm restaurants, and hearty Aosta Valley cuisine.

A perfect chalet in à top ski location

Just had a brilliant week at chalet Sterwen with 12 friends ! We were spoilt by the fresh snowfall. Obviously lots of thoughts gone into creating Such a perfect chalet! The accommodation was faultless and although a short drive from les Arcs or la Plagne this was effortless. Thanks again guys and hopefully we will return in the future.

Le chalet Sterwen était sans surprise comme sur les photos avec beaucoup d'espace et superbes vues. Le propriétaire à l'écoute estelle serviable et disponible. Nous étions 14 et tenions tous sur la même table.très convivial. Le séjour bien grand et confortable. L'accès au ski est rapide le funiculaire prend 7mn et le domaine très varié.nous vous recommandons le restaurant l'ancolie pour une super soirée c'est à 7km environ mais vaut le déplacement Le sauna dans lejardin a également été bien apprécié.

beautiful chalet well decorated and perfectly equipped. Perfect for our big party. friendly helpful owner. Close and convenient to go skiing. The bus service is convenient and fast. Big skiing area, we had excellent snow. Snowsure with two glaciers very much appreciated when warm weather. will warmly recommend.

Gorgeous, cosy and full of character

We had a fantastic stay at Chalet Sterwen and fell in love with its charm and character. The chalet is huge and every room is so different, with beautiful beams, cute mezzanines, and incredible mountain views through huge windows. We also loved the area - being in the valley and waking up to the mountain views above was really special. It was also super convenient in terms of shopping and restaurants, and the funicular is just a very short bus or drive away. We would definitely return to Chalet Sterwen.

Un chalet spacieux, idéal pour grande famille ou plusieurs couples. Environnement calme. Hottub un régal. Seulement pas de chauffe-souliers ou gants de ski . Boulanger et grandes surfaces à 10 min à Bourg... mais rien à Landry. Déplacements en voiture nécessaires pour La Plagne (via Les Coches). Des vacances parfaites.

Great chalet in a lovely setting

We had a fantastic holiday at Chalet Sterwen thank you. The chalet is beautiful and we enjoyed the luxury, peace and quiet and relaxation it provided. The snow was also fantastic, although the visibility a little bit mixed as a result, but ended the week on Saturday with powder in the morning and sunshine in the afternoon.. can't ask for more than that! Arriving on Sunday be aware that the supermarkets are shut so be prepared if you have young children with you. Some service stations have food so stock up on the way. Thanks again Philippe and Estelle for making our stay so enjoyable.

Très joli chalet savoyard!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour avec pleins de beaux souvenirs dans ce magnifique chalet décoré avec beaucoup de gout. L'espace de vie est très chaleureux, la cuisine est très bien équipée et la vaisselle ne manque pas ( nous étions 8 adultes et 8 enfants). Les chambres sont charmantes et très spacieuses avec de nombreux rangements ce qui est appréciable au sport d'hiver!! Les enfants ont pu profiter du jardin pour faire des batailles de boules de neige et de la luge en toute sécurité.Il est parfait pour passer d'excellentes vacances en famille ou entre amis. Le funiculaire à Bourg Saint Maurice qui nous permet de rejoindre les pistes au niveau des Arcs 1600 se trouve à 10 min en voiture. Merci à Philippe Clément qui est très sympathique et à l'écoute de ses locataires. Nous recommandons ce chalet pour passer d'excellentes vacances en famille ou entre amis!

Chalet très spacieux avec de beaux volumes. Les chambres sont très spacieuses avec un bon confort. Idéal pour les enfants et adultes, une pièce de jeux ou de détente au RDC. Ce chalet est parfait et très confortable pour 6 couples avec des enfants sans aucune gène les uns envers les autres. Sans oublier aussi , un élément important, le stationnement des véhicules juste devant le chalet.

Très beau chalet aux dimensions généreuses qui nous a permis de passer une excellente semaine de Noël en famille. La localisation à Landry permet de rayonner et de multiplier les activités, des commerces à proximité à quelques minutes de voiture. Le chalet est très bien équipé avec de grandes pièces à vivre et des chambres spacieuses, cuisine très bien équipée. Environnement très calme et nature.

Estupendas vacaciones

Nos ha encantado. La amplitud de las pistas no tiene nada que ver con los pirineos la verdad. Además el hecho de que hubiese glaciares permite unas buenas condiciones de nieve en abril a las cuales no estamos acostumbrados. El chalet estupendo y muy cómodo. Lo hemos compartido 3 familias sin ningún problema porque es muy amplio. El acceso a pistas con el funicular, muy práctico y cerquita del chalet. También fuimos un día a la Rosière para esquiar en Italia que tiene su gracia. Realmente recomendable.

Localisation pratique car à proximité des remontées (avec navette gratuite ) et en même temps de Bourg St. maurice ( pour les courses) , parking facile au funiculaire et ski excellent dans des paysages sublimes , le domaine skiable est gigantesque . Quant au chalet , c'est un petit bijou , chaleureux et décoré avec beaucoup de goût , spacieux et lumineux où nous avons passé un séjour formidable .

Super semaine de ski au chalet Sterwen

Nous avons beaucoup aimé ce chalet merveilleux, bien ensoleillé et très lumineux. Beaucoup d’espace pour passer des vacances nombreux sans se gêner. L’accès au ski est très rapide et facile avec le grand parking du funiculaire. Les navettes gratuites sont très pratiques pour ne pas avoir à partir tous ensemble. Nous avons profité de la situation pour skier une journée à La Rosière et une journée à Sainte Foy mais l’ensemble de Paradiski est énorme et aurait suffit largement. Nous ne connaissions pas le hot tub, c’est un moment unique à plusieurs pour se relaxer après une bonne journée de ski. Nous vous recommandons les yeux fermés !

Chalet de grande qualité bien situé et ensoleillé

Nous avons trouvé un chalet de grande qualité bien situé et bien desservi par les navettes pour aller skier. Ce chalet très spacieux, bien meublé avec goût dans un esprit montagnard est très ensoleillé.les chambres sont très spacieuses et magnifiques sans parler des pièces à vivre qui sont dans le même esprit. Aucun problème de stationnement pour 5 voitures, ce qui est également un atout majeur quand on est nombreux. La vue sur les montagnes est fabuleuse. Ce chalet est à mon avis à conseiller car ses prestations sont de qualité, les espaces bien volumineux faisant en sorte que nombreux l'autonomie de chaque couple est préservée. A retenir.

An incredible holiday, resort and chalet.

We arrived as a group of 14 and found a fantastic chalet with beautiful views, it was very clean and we enjoyed its rustic charm. The wood fired hot tub was a very enjoyable and unique experience. The chalet is well placed for access to Les Arcs and La Plag​n​e, the drive up the hill to the station or along the main road to the funicular was no problem at all. Chalet Sterwen is situated in a small village which is not far away from the Bourg St Maurice where there are plenty of Bars and Restaurants. After skiing we were able to apre ski in Les Arcs and Bourg St Maurice by catching the funicular down which gave us an enormous choice of places to eat and drink. The caretakers of the chalet were friendly and helpful throughout the stay, thank you for giving us the chalet self-catered for our Easter holiday. We will definitely come again!

Chalet de rêve!

Nous avons passé la dernière semaine des vacances .L'endroit est charmant. Le chalet est très beau,parfaitement équipé et a une belle décoration. Les enfants ont adoré le Hot Tube, la piste cyclable et les balades, les parents les lits faits et le linge de maison, les grands balcons pour ne rien faire! La proximité des stations nous a permis des activités variées sans aller très loin. Nous le recommandons sans aucune hésitation!
