Wedding at Villa Amalia

Every single thing about this Villa is perfect! We had our wedding here and it was truly magical. The location is beautiful and reminded us of the Amalfi Coast. The staff treated us like royalty and Nadia the house manager doesn’t miss a beat. She helpful and goes above and beyond! I can’t wait to go back!

Paradise Found!

After a few postponements due to Covid, ten family members and close friends gathered together to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday. There is an old cliche that says "pictures don't do it justice". Ditto here. "Spectacular" is the word that best comes to mind to describe the villa and its amenities and to top it off, the exceptional staff went above and beyond in making our stay memorable. Before our stay, Nadia, our concierge, was quick to respond to all questions and through her we booked a full day Catamaran tour and a half day ATV Tour, both of which were very enjoyable. In addition, Nadia also booked for us one night two Caribbean dancers and another night a steel drum player, both great entertainment. On the first day at the villa, Chef T got our food likes and dislikes and the rest we left up to her. Every meal prepared by her and her team was a surprise and our pallets were never disappointed. If you have a bucket list, put Villa Amalia in Sint Maarten at the top of your list. If you don't have a bucket list, what are you waiting for? Just go and have one of the best vacations you will ever have.

We spent 5 nights at the villa. The experience exceeded expectation. The staff was amazing and very friendly. The villa was spacious enough to handle our 12 person travel party with ease. We would definitely return to the villa if the opportunity were to arise in the future.

Perfection

What an amazing week at Villa Amalia. 12 friends gathered together for the first time since 2019 and celebrated each other and a special birthday and it couldn't have been more perfect, from securing the reservation to waving goodbye on our way to SXM. The team at Villa Amalia were responsive throughout the process of preparing the house for our visit and not one need or want went unaddressed. Nadia, our concierge, didn't miss a beat and elevated every aspect of the trip with suggestions and recommendations that proved to be precisely what was needed or expected. Tamisha and Rene were the masters of the kitchen and our meals and pivoted for individual tastes and preferences readily and seamlessly, making each guest comfortable in asking for something special or different. The food was fresh and delicious and beautifully prepared and presented, whether it was a simple egg dish, charcuterie plate, or the birthday entree and specially requested dessert. We did not want for anything. Christine, Tasha and Suzie completed the team at Amalia and made our surroundings neat and tidy despite our best efforts to keep it a mess - with 12 people running from room to kitchen to sun deck to pool and back throughout the stay they were able to keep everything in order and ready for the next tornado of activity. It was an epic vacation for a variety of reasons, but it all started with finding the right spot, and we hit the nail on the head when we found Villa Amalia. I can't say enough good things about our experience - we had a catamaran excursion planned to the T for us by Nadia, who elevated that experience by switching boats and lunch spots before we arrivedvafter getting to know me and the crowd through what can only be described as a short novel of messages on group preferences. We had a masseuse on site most days and everyone took advantage - I had one almost every day. When time came for the big celebratory dinner, Nadia provided a special gift of live music to accompany dinner service and it was so thoughtful and greatly appreciated. Every single guest pulled me aside to tell me what a great job I did in finding Villa Amalia and planning the holiday for the group and each praise was passed along to Nadia and Tamisha, my primary contact points. It would not have been the experience of a lifetime without this amazing team of professionals who's only goal is to make everyone feel like the primary guest. Villa Amalia has set the bar for future holidays.

Great time @ Villa Amalia

Villa Amalia will be much more than you expect. Pictures do not do this home justice or express the many luxurious details the home offers. The house managers Anna, Miaia & Cherise were wonderful. They helped us book the car rentals & came to meet us at the airport. We followed them back without having to the headache of using the gps from a long flight. Upon our arrival we were greeted by the chef who worked up his creative side daily for us. Every meal was prepared with perfection and well planned. Anna was very helpful in booking activities throughout the island. Raj & Anna made our vacation complete. Little things they did stood out big time for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better house manager or a chef. This trip was the best vacation our family has had to date and we have been to many places. The ocean is a perfect backdrop of luxury for this home. We cannot wait to return; our expectations were high-the Villa knocked it out of the park.

Amazing Villa

We rented the villa to help celebrate a friends birthday and it was just perfect! The villa was fantastic and exactly as described. The manager on site was super helpful and it definitely felt like a bonus to us to have her. We had nothing to worry about except to relax and enjoy each other’s company! Would def recommend this villa and would love to go back!

Perfection

Our stay at Villa Amalia will be impossible to top. The splendor of the house and the breath-taking views blew us away, and as we had ordered groceries in advance we were greeted with the most delicious smells and a Chef that was all smiles. Our house manager Anna was so welcoming and kind, and we immediately knew that our vacation was going to be as wonderful as we had imagined. We were a large group, slightly over maximum capacity, and for once there was no fighting over rooms because each one was perfect in its own way. There are so many places to go in the house, whether you want to be alone or all together in one room, but mostly we all hung out by the pool, outdoor bar, and kitchen! Every meal that Chef Raj cooked was amazing, and Anna had the table set like a five-star resort for each of our meals. The majority of our group was 20-somethings so Raj and Anna learned early on that mimosas were welcomed at breakfast and fancy drinks were a staple at lunchtime and dinner. Our crew had so much fun with Raj and Anna, and we now consider them a part of our family. A chef & house manager can really make or break a vacation and we were truly blessed to have gotten Raj & Anna for our stay. Our concierge arranged for us to rent a Catamaran one day, and we were served a nice lunch while sailing around the island and snorkeling in the protected reefs. Another day we ventured over to the French side and had a great day hanging out at one of the beaches on that side. We were so comfortable in the house that we really didn’t even have to leave, and we actually had the most fun just enjoying all the amenities in the house. A housekeeper came daily to clean so we always had fresh towels and a nicely made bed every night, and even though we were such a large group the house always seemed to remain spotless! The health buffs in our crew used the fitness room daily, and also went for runs down by the beach or up into the hills where the views were amazing and the wandering goats were plentiful!! The house is surrounded by a high retaining wall along the back side, and a locked gate at the side with no access to the house from the shore area so we felt very safe at all times. We had rented 3 cars and there was plenty of room to park and be able to get in and out easily so that was a great thing too. The only bad thing was that we couldn’t take Raj and Anna home with us :) Villa Amalia is absolute perfection.

Absolutely Out of this world

Definitely a 5 Star Luxury Stay. Villa Amalia has it all, luxurious and extremely comfortable with breathtaking ocean views. The beds and sheets all so comfortable with nice private en-suites with rain showers. We saw some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets and we played ping pong by the pool or just chilled with our favourite cocktails. It was hard to leave the property as nothing has been left out or forgotten, we even had in-house massages in the villa’s spa room. The concierge and host services were impeccable and the chef made us delicious meals all catered to our tastes. We highly recommend this luxury villa for anyone wishing to visit St. Maarten.

Most day you will have the beach all to yourself. Indulge in snorkeling, wind surfing, catching the waves of just chilling on the beach.

There is no other villa that compares to Villa Amalia on the Dutch side. We have it all, including only a 5 minute ride to the Capital with duty free shopping, casino's and many dining choices. Jewelers and brand names stores are plenty.
