What a fabulous place. Everything is as described- comfy, clean, super communication, close to all things, the works. Flora is an amazing host. We will be staying here in the future for sure 😊
Nicely updated, comfortable home within walking distance of downtown San Jose. Japantown is also within walking distance and includes multiple restaurant options. The house is well furnished and the backyard provides some nice options to spend time outside. Great communication from the host.
This was our location for our San Francisco and PCH touring. It is minutes from the SJ airport and considering California traffic, was easy access to all of our go to spots. Flora provided a great place to stay! She has two casitas on the property which are super cute and the shared backyard was so cool with the cacti and neat seating. I definitely recommend! Additionally, we felt safe in this up and becoming historical neighborhood. If you like culture and diversity, this is your place!! It’s worth it!
We arrived to be greeted by the host who lives very nearby. The house was tasteful and cozy and in the perfect location for us (visiting SJSU). Exactly what we were looking for!
We had a great stay. Our family was displaced and needed a place to call home for a while. This place was fantastic and we would definitely recommend it.
This rental is super cute. It’s a craftsman house that the owner has taken care of nicely. Check in was very easy. I had all of the basic needs, ie shampoo, body wash, lotion, blow dryer etc, needed for a trip out of town. The portable air conditioners were very nice, with unseasonably hot temps, they were needed.
The only comment I would make is that a blind or curtain on the back door would be nice. A young couple was staying in the super cute casita out back and I inadvertently flashed them at least once.
Overall a very nice stay!

Nice place
House was comfortable and stylish (though a few throw pillows and a lamp would have been a nice touch in the living room); Both bedrooms were very nice with comfortable beds, warm and cozy comforters and good lighting. Kitchen had everything you need, plus water in the fridge, and coffee, creamers, etc. The overhead lighting in the kitchen/dining area was very harsh though. Dimmer switches or under cabinet lighting would make it a much nicer space to hang out in. Not the greatest area of San Jose, but centrally located. We ubered to a restaurant in San Pedro Square because it was raining but you could probably walk on a nice evening. Overall a nice place and very affordable for what you get in terms of size, comfort and privacy.

About the host
Hosted by Flora Moreno de Thompson
My name is Flora and I am a born and raised San Jose native. I grew up blocks away from this property and currently live next door. I would love to share my favorite local eateries, coffee shops, hidden gems, and more!
Why they chose this property
This home was my first home, and I have put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into making it the cute and comfortable place it is today. I am super proud of my home and I love my neighborhood. I'd love to share it with you.
What makes this property unique
Our home was built in 1906 and it has a lot of original features like crown molding and windows, but also has many modern touches like a recently updated kitchen and new furnishings. Enjoy the beautiful succulent garden, say hello to my pet chickens that roam the yard, and stay minutes away from many places of interest in downtown San Jose.
Please note that the backyard is shared and you might run into me, my family, or other guests. It is usually pretty quiet and empty though.
