Everything was perfect - super convenient location to explore the island, beautiful views, easy access to the beach where you can walk for miles at low tide. The cottage was extremely well equipped and comfortable, had everything we needed for a week’s stay. The host was very communicative and helpful with any questions we had. We 1000% want to come back and would recommend this place to anyone!
So much to love about this place and PEI. Right on the water with access to the beach, and great jumping off point to explore local towns and adventures all over the island. The deck and views were perfect for just taking it all in, and we loved the nautical charm of our accommodations. Would definitely stay here again!
Our stay at this charming cottage near the Northumberland Strait was nothing short of magical. The tasteful decor created a cozy atmosphere, and every amenity we needed was thoughtfully provided. The peaceful surroundings made for a truly relaxing getaway. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and quick to respond to any queries we had. A perfect retreat that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a slice of paradise in PEI."
We just returned from a beautiful week enjoying the beaches in front of the cottage. Everyday we accessed the beach by the stairs and took our 11 year little dog to frolic on the sand bars. The cottage was well decorated and provided everything we needed for the week. It provided easy access to Charlottetown and everything else we wanted to see on PEI. There was two excellent antique stores nearby that had lots of cool stuff. Spending a week by the ocean was good for soul.
This gem is a beautiful find. Easy access to the Northumberland strait and a beautiful beach. The home is outfitted with everything you could need, with room to store your own things for your stay. Hosts are wonderful! We love coming!
The pictures depict this beautiful costal cottage perfectly. The cottage has everything you will need for your stay. Its nice and quiet. There's wonderful restaurants in Victoria which is only 15 mins away. Victoria is a must see!
This was our first time on the island and we couldn’t have been happier with this place. The location is perfect, halfway between Summerside and Charlottetown. The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed. Best of all, the ocean view is amazing. I will miss our daily walks on the beach. We had the best holiday!
My wife, black lab and I thoroughly enjoyed our nine days at the cottage. We had great May weather with rain on only our last day. We explored parts of the island we hadn’t visited before including Skinner’s Pond. Walks along the shore at low tide were great with the dog and the wife even swam once at high tide.
Would definitely rent again. Aiden was a great host.
My wife and I just stayed here a week for our 25th anniversary. The cottage was so clean and well stocked. The location is very convenient and beautiful! Just a 15 min drive from the bridge and in such a quiet picturesque spot. Also 15 min drive from Victoria which has some great restaurants and seafood. Aiden was very kind and helpful. Enjoyed every minute of our stay and MUST return some day!
5 stars all the way!!!
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this awesome cottage for three weeks, and we never wanted to leave! The area is incredibly quiet, and the view of the water is absolutely breathtaking. The cottage had everything we needed, and the thoughtful attention to detail was evident. Exceeded my expectations. We are already planning to go back next year. Highly recommended!
The cottage is even better in person than the pictures. It is well cared for, updated and stocked with all you need. The master bedroom queen bed is high quality and very comfortable. The central location is perfect if you wish to explore all of the island and the beach provides an exploration adventure everyday. After travelling around the island, one of my favourite places was Victoria, just down the road from the cottage, and the Lobster Barn with the best lobster rolls I’ve ever tasted. My hosts were friendly, communicative and helpful. Thank you for making my first trip to PEI memorable!
We loved our stay in Augustine Cove.....especially our grandson! It was a short drive over to Cavendish to do the "tourist'' activities with a four year old. We were kept busy and entertained. Then to come back to the quiet of our cottage and look out over the ocean.....breath taking. The beach was great for exploring and swimming. I would recommend this cottage to family and friends. It really is "a little slice of heaven".
We loved it. Unfortunatly we got there during the storm but we managed to make the tour of the island. Its always nice in PEI even under the rain. We got lucky and on our last day the sun was out and even though the stairs were damaged by the storm, making our treck down to the beach hazardouswe we were able to get down to the beach and spend a couple of hours on the beach.
This cottage was located in Augustine Cove which was only a 10 minute drive from the Confederation Bridge. The beach is fantastic with it's majestic red sand. Water was warm! The cottage had everything except AC and we had no idea PEI was this warm in July as it was our first trip to the island. If the cottage had AC, we would have been much more comfortable but this was our fault for not checking and the weather before renting. We would rent this cottage again but not in the months of July or August as the heat and humidity was too much for us. We noticed that even tourists from North Carolina and Florida were complaining about the weather, so it wasn't just us. D.H. Toronto
This was my first trip to PEI and my stay at Augustine Cove made my trip even more memorable. The cottage is exactly as pictured on VRBO. It is situated between Summerside and Charlottetown making travel to other parts of the island easy. You can sit on the deck or inside the cottage and watch the Northumberland Strait…the views never got boring. You could swim at high or low tide, but when it was low tide the tidal pools were fun to play in…especially if you are an English Springer Spaniel. Our host Aiden was amazing and was easy to contact if required. I have already rebooked the cottage and I can’t wait. Thanks Aidan for a great two week vacation in PEI!
From playing in the tidal pools to exploring Victoria ByThe Sea, this cottage has everything you need for a great vacation. You can sit on the deck & watch the lobster boats then take in the amazing sunset over the Confederation Bridge. Both Cavendish & Charlottetown are less than an hour away. And don't miss Thunder Cove Beach - tricky parking but well worth the trip. There are lots of restaurants but for a relaxing dinner, pickup the pre-cooked lobster from Captain Cooke seafood just down the road! We had a terrific week - we miss it already!
Such a wonderful central location on the island. The best beach and property we have stayed at on PEI. It was so wonderful to be able to swim or explore and collect seashells right outside our door. The hammock was our favourite spot to read. The cottage is decorated so beautifully, is very comfortable and has everything you could need. We will definitely be staying again in the future.
We stayed here for a week with our family. It’s absolutely beautiful! The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and our hosts were super helpful. We walked the beach daily, exploring tide pools at low tide, did some kayaking, and enjoyed listening to the sounds of the waves at night under an incredible sky of stars. Just perfect. Highly recommend!
A perfect cottage and location to enjoy the ocean, the views, and the wildlife including Loons, Commorants, Ospreys, Foxes and even a few seals swimming by and interesting walks on the beaches. A short drive to Charlottetown allowed us to enjoy Tell Tale Harbour, a Musical at the Confederation Centre...worth seeing.
The cottage was everything that it was described to be. Had all the amenities required to make an enjoyable, perfect stay. The view was spectacular with a beautiful beach to walk on when the tide was out.
My mother and I had a wonderful time at this property. No complaints. Place exceeds expectations, nicer than photos in listing. Red sand beaches a few feet away that at low tide one can walk for many kilometres. Especially loved the rock formations nearby. Great place to explore!
