Log Cabins In The Beautiful Highlands Of Zeliv, By A Lake and forest. Oak cabin

We have 3 cabins, each can accommodate up to 5 people in comfort. Each cabin has fully equipped kitchen, bedrooms have 1 bunk bed, 1 single and a double and a good size veranda with table and chairs. We also provide barbeque facilities should you fancy it.. Situated in amazing countryside next to a beautiful lake and dam, surrounded by a large forest. The site is in a very quiet location ideal for family holidays. Pets are welcome. Fishing is by permit only but there are large numbers of fish to be caught.
There is a large grill with rotisserie, (big enough for a whole pig) /childrens area available inside and out with games consoles and TV.
The site is 1450 ft above sea level . We have a 3.6m diameter heated pool, and a small dinghy / boat. There are local shops and pubs in is 1500m away
We are very friendly English family, and try to please everyone,this would be an ideal location,for young and old, adventurers, photographers ,bird watchers, hikers ,romantic getaway,cyclists,convallesing plus we have several Hammocks, overlooking the lake, what ever you like we will be waiting with a cool beer or a glass of wine,to start your relaxing break, Kim and Ian

Just come and hide away :)

"The Hideaway" is a beautiful and peaceful place. Quiet but still lively, it invites you to spend some days far away from your everyday stress and duties. Despite the heat we, our four-year-old daughter and our labrador lady immensely enjoyed this week. With a lot of playground attractions like different swings hanging on a mighty oak, a trampolin and a sandpit it never got boring for our daughter. Being 9 months pregnant, a cosy seating corner near the lake and especially the incredibly comfortable Hollywood Swing made mummy chill out. ;) The kitchen's equipment is simple but totally sufficient. With summer temperatures around 30 degrees the cabin got mighty hot at daytime, but there were a lot of shady spots and a little pool where we could cool down. Unfortunately the lake was full of algae due to the heat, so neither we nor our dog could swim in it. There is only one shower for all three cabins but it is very clean and we never had to wait when wanting to use it. You can also use the washing machine for 50 CZK. Last but not least: Kim and Ian are the most friendly, polite and helpful landlords we ever experienced and we will definitely come again next year! Herrlich ruhiger und entspannter Urlaub

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen, erholsamen Kurzurlaub. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Häuschen sind einfach und sehr gemütlich. Es fehlt an nichts. Besonders schön ist die Terasse, wo wir uns meistens aufgehalten haben. Die Gegend ist sehr schön zum Laufen mit den Hunden. Rundherum ist schön viel Wasser. Leider konnten wir nicht baden, weil es ziemlich grün und veralgt war. Aber es war auch so sehr schön dort.

Erholsamer Urlaub am See

Sehr ruhig gelegen, direkt am See. In den Hütten war alles, was man braucht. Die Vermieter Kim und Ian wohnen auch auf dem Grundstück, sind aber quasi unsichtbar. Dennoch sind sie jederzeit ansprechbar, wenn man ihre Hilfe benötigt und besonders Kim ist als Englisch-Lehrerin sehr geduldig, auch wenn das Englisch unsererseits holprig ist ;-). Unser Sohn spricht fließender Englisch, allerdings wäre es für ihn als Angler sehr schwierig geworden, die in Tschechien dafür benötigten Lizenzen zu bekommen. Und was machte Ian? Er begleitete ihn zu den nötigen Behörden - echt stark! Alles in Allem war unser Urlaub ein voller Erfolg. Danke Kim und Ian - wir kommen gerne wieder!

Everything was just great.

We had a trip, just as we wanted to have. Nice and calm with a lot of nature, peaceful environment and still everything we needed. Grocery store was just 10 min by car, wifi was working well and the hosting people where absolutely friendly and provided us with everything we needed. We would defenetly book this again.

Aufenthalt bei Kim und Ian im Hideway

Wer Natur und Ruhe genießen möchte ist hier genau richtig.Die Gegend ist wunderbar Naturbelassen und für Angler ein Paradies.Kim und Ian sind freundliche und sehr hilfsbereite Gastgeber,hat man Fragen oder ein Problem sind sie sofort da und helfen einem.Ian hat mit mir innerhalb 2 Stunden geholfen ( Behördengänge Abgabe der Apostille)den Tschechischen Angelschein zu erhalten,natürlich gibt es auch die Möglichkeit einen Touristen Fischereischein zu erhalten,der ist dann 30 Tage gültig.Desweiteren ist er direkt mit mir zum Vorstand des hiesigen Fischereiverbandes gefahren,um die Angelberechtigung zu erhalten.Alles innerhalb von 2 Stunden!!!! Die Häuser sind zweckmäßig eingerichtet,es fehlt nichts.Für den Fernsehempfang sollte man einen Laptop mitbringen,es läuft alles über schnelles Internet.Man kann ohne Probleme Kochen,es ist alles da,man kann sich aber auch Gedanken machen ob man Essen geht.Etwa 50 Prozent günstiger als in Deutschland!Kim und Ian geben auch dort immer hilfreiche Ratschläge. Wer Einkaufen möchte,auch kein Problem,es befinden sich in 10 bis 13 Kilometer große Einkaufszentren mit allen namhaften Filialen. wie in Deutschland! Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen,deswegen haben wir für Oktober 2020 gleich nochmals einen Kurzurlaub angekündigt. Mfg Carmen,Axel Und Traudel

I'm sorry you misunderstood our description,but no where do we say we have central heating, Our heating has always been by wood burning fires,Which is perfectly normal for cabins built in a forest. and provide plenty of heat. Wood is provided free of charge.

Blokhut voor vijf personen, wij waren met zijn beiden in de zomer. Voor vijf lijkt het mij wat krap.

Heerlijke rustige omgeving. Mooi gelegen. Eenvoudige blokhut waar alle ingrediënten aanwezig zijn voor een fijn verblijf. Aardige, vriendelijke eigenaren zijn erg behulpzaam. Leuke uitvalshoek voor wandelingen, fietsen, vissen in de natuur.

Perfekter Ort für eine echte Auszeit

Wir (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) waren eine Woche zu Gast bei Kim und Ian. Es war eine wunderbare Woche, die wir dank unserer Gasteltern, dank der Umgebung und dank des Wetters hatten. Das Gelände liegt mitten in der Natur umringt von viel Wasser. Ob Spaziergang, Baden, Relaxen - alles ist möglich. Wenn man mal nicht weiß wie und wo, dann sind Kim und Ian immer mit Rat und Tat zur Stelle. Wir waren zuerst skeptisch das Grundstück mit den Eigentümern teilen zu müssen - sie waren da,aber eigentlich waren sie nie da. Eher wie ein kleiner netter Geist, den man rufen konnte, wenn Hilfe nötig war. Die Bungalows sind einfach eingerichtet. Die Betten, die wir hatten, waren ziemlich weich, sollen aber nächstes Jahr ausgetauscht werden. Auch verirrten sich immer wieder mal kleinere Krabbeltierchen ins Haus, was uns aber nicht störte, da wir eh nur zum Schlafen drin waren. Alles andere kann man im Garten machen - Essen, Trinken, Grillen, Lagerfeuer. Die Wege zur Badestelle, Bäcker, Restaurant sind kurz und eigentlich ist alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit und werden sicher wieder kommen. Thank you Kim, thank you Ian - see you next time.

We arrived as guests - and left as friends

Für uns war die Zeit bei Ian und Kim ein wunderschöner und erholsamer Urlaub! Die Wohnung und die Anlage entsprachen den Angaben im Inserat, wir haben uns auf Anhieb sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Anlage ist relativ klein, sodass alles sehr familiär ist. Die Ausstattung ist kein Luxus, das kann man bei dem guten Preis/Leistungsverhältnis sicher nicht erwarten, aber es ist alles da, was man braucht. Die Umgebung ist herrlich. Das Essen gut und sehr günstig. Der größte Luxus sind die Vermieter. Ian und Kim haben sich vom ersten Tag rührend und wohltuend gekümmert. Sehr schnell entstand eine angenehme freundschaftliche Atmosphäre mit gemeinsamen Lagerfeuer, vielen Gesprächen bei Wein und Bier und nicht zuletzt einigen fröhlichen Singabenden in der gemütlichen Kamin-Blockstube. Unser 3-jähriger Sohn war auch begeistert, da er alles hatte, was ein Kind in dem Alter braucht. Ein Pool, Rutsche, große Schaukeln, ein großer Spielraum mit viel Spielzeug, ein Boot zum Rudern auf dem See am Grundstück und natürlich Katzen und seinen geliebten Hund, von dem er immer noch erzählt. Es gibt viele Freizeitmöglichkeiten, sowohl in der Natur als auch in den reizvollen Orten und Städten in der Umgebung. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder und empfehlen dieses friedliche und erholsame Fleckchen Erde auch allen unseren Freunden! Vielen Dank Ian und Kim für die schöne Zeit! See You soon!

Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen

Wer die Natur sucht, um den Alltag zu entfliehen, muss hier her. Wir haben die Ruhe gesucht, um Musik zu machen und wurden von diesem kleinen Fleck heile Welt inspiriert. Der See vor der Tür, Bäume wo man hinsieht und die Gastfreundschaft der Inhaber machen den Aufenthalt unvergesslich. Vielen Dank und wir kommen wieder. :-)

Eine Hütte, eine Hollywoodschaukel und eine lauschige Seeterrasse zum Wohlfühlen

Wir verbrachten eine Woche bei Kim und Ian in einer der gemütlichen kleinen Holzhütten. Ein kleines feines Ferien-Zuhause mit einer überdachten Terrasse. Wenn wir dort saßen, dann kam auch gerne mal Casper, der liebe, sehr zutrauliche Hund von Kim und Ian, vorbei, begrüßte uns freudig und legte sich auf ein kleines Nickerchen zu uns. Oder Kims Mamakatze kam uns mit ihren 3 Jungen besuchen und stillte sie bei uns, oder sie ließ die kleinen Kätzchen bei uns herumtoben. Auf dem Hideaway-Grundstück gibt es ein paar sehr lauschige Ecken: Die große Hollywoodschaukel mit Seeblick, die abends immer romantisch mit bunten Lampions beleuchtet war. Oder die selbstgebaute rustikale Seeterrasse und die Hängematten - natürlich auch mit Seeblick - mitten in einem kleinen Birkenwäldchen direkt oberhalb des Seeufers. Dort konnten wir in gemütlichen Sesseln den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Ein Highlight waren die abendlichen Singstar-Battles mit Kim, Ian und einigen anderen Feriengästen. Wie schön wir gemeinsam gesungen haben.... und wie viel wir lachen mussten dabei. Das bleibt unvergesslich! Tagsüber kann man wunderbar im See baden. Oder eine See-Tour mit Kim und Ians Schlauchboot machen. Oder einen Tagesausflug nach Czechky Krumlov. Die Woche bei Kim und Ian hat uns sehr gefallen, nicht zuletzt auch deshalb, weil die beiden herzensgute Menschen sind, denen das Wohl ihrer Gäste auch wirklich sehr am Herzen liegt. Kims Motto: "Man kommt als Gast und geht als Freund". Ja, Kim, genau so ist es.

Thank you for your great review. We loved having you stay with us. Hope you dontt mind but I have translated your comments to English below. " We spent a week at Kim and Ian in one of the cozy little wooden huts. A small fine holiday home with a covered terrace. If we were sitting there, then came also like Casper, the love, very trusting dog by Kim and Ian, over, greeted us happily and lay down on a little nap to us. Or Kim Mama cat came to us with their 3 boys attend and nursed it with us, or let the little kittens frolic with us. The Hideaway plot there are a few very secluded corners: The large porch swing overlooking the lake, the evening was still romantically lit with colorful lanterns. Or the homemade rustic lakeside terrace and hammocks - and of course with lake views - the middle of a small birch grove directly above the lake shore. There we could enjoy the sunset in comfortable armchairs. A highlight was the evening SingStar Battles with Kim, Ian and some other holiday guests. How beautiful we sang together .... and how much we laugh had it. The unforgettable! During the day you can swim wonderfully in the lake. Or a lake tour with Kim and make Ian's boat. Or a day trip to Czechky Krumlov. The week at Kim and Ian was much appreciated, not least because the two good-hearted people, which really is the welfare of their guests also very important. Kim's motto: "You come as a guest and leave as a friend". Yes, Kim, just as it is.

1a Blockhüttendomizil mit allem was man zum kombinieren See-Wald-Angel-Wander-Fahrrad-Urlaub braucht

Es war noch etwas kalt anfangs und da tat der gute Ofen in der Hütte seinen Dienst, sehr schnell hatten wir 30 Grad-Sauna, aber schön beim knisternden Feuer. Dann wurde es doch noch warm und wir konnten den See und seine Umgebung bei Zeliv gut nutzen. Ein klein wenig Aussteigerfeeling im wenig touristischen Zeliv kommt dann schon auf, auch wenn der nächste Kaufland nur 15 km entfernt ist. Wir waren zum überwiegenden Nichtstun = Ausspannen da, (Work-Life Balance ist Käse weil die Work auch zum Life gehört und es deshalb nichts zum Balancen gibt) und dafür war es ideal und sehr günstig. Unser Hütte war fast komplett ausgestattet (Fernsehen, DVD, schnelles funktionierendes Internet, Bettzeug. Gefehlt haben uns mehr Handtücher, Salz, Pfeffer, Olivenöl und Balsamico. Hervorheben möchte ich noch das nette Betreiberpaar, die uns auf Nachfrage mit allem versorgt haben. Allerdings sollten Sie auch Englisch sprechen, sonst könnte es schwierig werden. Und ein Tschechisch-Wörterbuch für die Umgebungstouren und Shopping, Essen kann nicht schaden. Alles in allem Full Points. Ach ja, es gibt noch einen Hund der nie bellt und gern schnorrt :-) und abends eine Katze die auch nicht bellt und neugierig ist (will aber in der Regel auch nur Futter).

Amazing..

We (2 adults, 1 toddler, 1 dog) had a really great time in Zeliv and enjoyed being there so much! Kim and Ian are the best hosts, you can imagine, the cabins are absolutely cosy and the surrunding is just beautiful. It's really like being in paradise!

We stayed for a long weekend break March 2015. Cabins are really cosy and superbly decorated and maintained, everything you need is in them. Kim and Ian are perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them to make your stay perfect. We even had a bbq round the campfire despite being early in the year (got a bit nippy towards end of evening) I am going back in July this year to visit in the sunshine, lots of lovely cities to explore nearby. The list is endless....

Beautiful....

We stayed here for long weekend break in March this year, absolutely beautiful place. Cabins are lovely, beautifully decorated and have everything you need in them. We even had a barbecue around the camp fire, a bit chilly as was early in the year Kim and Ian are superb hosts and extremely helpful in showing us the area. Lovely restaurant in the village. Can't wait to go back in July this year.

Wonderful experience.

Took my wife and four children to Hideaway for two weeks and stayed in two log cabins, the children had one cabin and we had a cabin all to our selfs.They were beautify made up and didn't want for anything. Really clean. Loved the shower. Kim and Ian are English owners of hideaway which made a great diference in seeing and finding the local surroundings. We had camp fires most evenings/ Barbecue and enjoyed there wonderful hospitality. Done a lot of walking/ cycling and fishing and took some great pics. Recommend Hideaway to anyone who is wanting that getaway camping holiday. I have already booked for next year. Big thank you Kim And Ian for for being making us feel really special. We were married February this year and decided to make a fresh start together in this fantastic area of the Czech Republic. I have an engineering background and Kim has a been a foster carer and health care worker for the last 20+ years so we are new at this! However we cannot believe our fortune as we both love this area and are both very keen photographers and there is LOTS to photograph. We aim to give first class customer service, we want you to come back please!

Why they chose this property

Kims brother moved to the area to live with his partner who is a Czech girl. Every time we visited them we noticed this property and to our amazement we found it was for sale.
We thought about our lives in detail and decided to go for it and sell up everything! It was a fantastic decision.
