In the historic center of Amboise, nestled in the rock at the foot of the ramparts of the Castle, this independent troglodyte studio is an unusual but typical place in the Loire Valley. Le Petit Troglo in its green setting with its balcony and its small garden facing south / west is an intimate place, calm and multiple charms.
Completely renovated with taste, this unique place, located 400 m from the entrance to the Château Royal, Clos Lucé and 900 m from Château Gaillard is ideal for recharging your batteries and taking the time to discover the heritage of the Loire Valley .

À tranquil slice of heaven

Cocooned in the hillside, this little cave was perfectly cosy and beautifully decorated. Close to everything in Amboise, and yet it felt tranquil and secluded, with everything we needed for our four night stay. Adorable troglo in Amboise

This little troglo/cave cottage was unique but very comfortable. Just the right size for a couple. Amboise is a wonderful town and a great place to use as a base for the Loire Valley. Merielle, the owner is very nice and helpful.

Quiet and Close in Amboise

Here you are steps away from the action but tucked back in utter silence. The room was comfortable and was well attended to by the host. Two wishes were for a nicer garden patio area and WiFi.

"Our Rave about the Cave"

Our host was gracious, welcoming and SWEET. She has created a warm and very interesting setting. It obviously took an endless amount of time to create this "nest". We had a WONDERFUL time!!

Petite Troglo

Amazing experience living in a cave. It has been decorated artistically with Leonardo De Vinci quotations and his art. The mosaic pieces are colourful and fun. This was all done by the owner who is an artist. It was definitely a labour of love!

Amazing.

We’ll be telling everyone we stayed in a Castle. Not entirely true but close enough. This small studio style apartment is in a cave at the foot of the Castle. Excellent location. Nice and clean with a nice friendly host Mireille. Maybe a little humid but after all. It’s a cave!

Schöne kleine Wohnung. Für zwei Personen ausreichend. Amboise ist eine schöne kleine Stadt. Alles ist zu Fuß erreichbar. Mireille ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Parken ist kostenlos in der Nähe auf einem großen Parkplatz möglich. Wir können es uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Wirklich charmante Höhle wenige Gehminuten vom zentralen Platz und vom Schloss. Herrlich ruhig, nur tagsüber einige vorbeiziehende Touristengruppen auf dem Weg zum Clos-Lucé. Angenehmes Raumklima, kleiner Garten. Gerne wieder.

Adossé à l'éperon rocheux du château d'Amboise, ce studio troglodyte est décoré avec goût; il y fait "naturellement frais" ce qui est appréciable pour un sommeil réparateur. L'emplacement est idéal à 5 minutes du centre ville, du château d'Amboise, du clos Lucé et du château Gaillard. Mireille, la propriétaire, est sympathique et à l'écoute de ses hôtes. Elle est présente tout en restant discrète.
