Enjoy the Angel Fire ski slopes just minutes away or take a 30 minute drive to Taos or Red River. Golfing, hiking, mountain biking (Hike or bike on the Coyote Trail that crosses our property! Follow signs in front yard), snowboarding, skiing, snowmobiling, whitewater rafting, trout fishing, horseback riding, UTV in the Carson National Forrest (1/2 mile away, no trailering required) and zip lining in the Enchanted Circle! You’ll find comfortable seating & a double swing on the large covered front deck to observe the deer that come visit all day (bring deer corn), rabbits, elk, bear, bob cats, birds (especially hummingbirds), chipmunks & an occasional mountain lion. Grill hamburgers, hotdogs, steak or make s’mores on the Fire Pit! On the large, covered back deck, you’ll find a large table, chairs & a propane grill for those bad weather days. This cabin offers central heat, wood burning stove, tankless hot water heater (endless HOT water), front loading washer and dryer (bring detergent), WIFI, Smart TVs and DVD players in every room & a fully stocked kitchen! There’s plenty of seating around the bar & dining table for the whole family. I have provided a portable crib, high chair, infant tub, tub toys & children’s books for infant & toddlers. Big Bear Camp Ground is located in the upstairs loft. Underage campers will find puzzles, games, toys, activity books, children’s books, movies & a game console for endless hours of entertainment. Outside in the summer, they can play horse shoes or play on the playground located at the front entrance of the Country Club. In the winter, there’s several snow sleds at the house. I invite you to make yourselves at home, relax, enjoy & most of all, have FUN in this paradise!

Great little cabin

Cozy with a beautiful view. Wildlife was amazing!!! Owners very responsive to questions during our stay. Beds were very comfy, but creaky. Despite the beds being creaky, we all slept great! Only thing I would change would be to add a dishwasher. There were plenty of dishes, but everything had to be hand washed. I definitely recommend & we will be returning as this was one of the few places we could stay that had 4 separate rooms with adult sized beds, so everyone could have their own rooms. Price was great as well!

Family Getaway

Our family of nine enjoyed the beautiful and secluded home. The house had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Definitely enjoyed the hot showers after a day of mountain biking and fishing. We made all our meals, used the fire pit to make our s’mores. The trails around were filled with beautiful wildflowers. Thank you for a memorable family getaway.

Good

A lovely getaway in the mountains that can accommodate the entire family. The 2 bathrooms had very nice, recently updated, showers and the memory foam mattresses in the spacious downstairs rooms were welcoming after an invigorating hike on the Cougar Trail which you can access just a few steps out the front door. The kid's accommodations upstairs were not as updated or comfortable with a saggy mattress and dangerously steep non-compliant staircase. Lighting in the kitchen was lacking but well appointed with a new refrigerator and nice stove. The gas grill on the covered back porch offered a lovely seating area to dine alfresco or nature watch. The raised front porch offered views of deer that practically eat out of your hand and ample chipmunk/ bird-watching opportunities. Overall, a very nice property to recommend.

Family Celebration of Life

We came up to Angel Fire to see how much it has changed since we grew up there. Then we had a celebration of life for my Dad and spread his ashes in his favorite spot. Lots of laughter and love during our trip. Wish we all could have stayed longer. Had a great time enjoying the cabin and sitting out on the porch chatting and waiting for dusk for the dear to come around.

Angel fire cabin

Very beautiful property. Loved the wildlife. Made memories with the family on our first time in NM!~The following concerns were just an irritant and annoying but we still loved our stay. Some concerns: Horrible lighting. Would recommend you put a sign for the light in the laundry room. The entire cabin needs more lights. It's very dim even with all lights on! Cupboards and drawers very disorganized. Appears no one has attempted to organize for years. Pans all need to be replaced with mindfulness as to what a normal family with kids would need, i.e. maybe a griddle? Front Screen bent. Remotes not working. Only two dishtowels. One bathroom drain was clogged and we fixed. Can opener is broken. Couldn't get the front door to lock with the code. Had to always use the rear door. Back King fish bedroom doorlock is broken. Absolutely no instruction on TV use and access. One bedroom remote was broken. Didn't instruct that upstairs TV only could pay Movies etc. Two of the remotes we had to go and get batteries cause they were dead.

Family of 9 spent an extended weekend at this quaint little cabin

Our family of 9 plus our furbabies went in September and had a wonderful time! It is a quaint little cabin which we thoroughly enjoyed! Was wonder to have enough bedrooms for all of us!! The living room and kitchen were a little small for 9 but I feel it made us enjoy our time together and create many memories even more!! We enjoyed several deer and many babies at the house!!! They love being fed from the porch and just wonder around for us humans to enjoy their peacefulness! We did take our ATV’s and it was wonderful to be able to ride in the neighborhood and to the store. We also went to one trail and the sites were beautiful!! Heads-up, there is a gate at the trailhead that you must open and close as you enter and exit. At first we thought the trailhead was closed but thankfully learned what we had to do to enjoy this beautiful ride!! As we rode in the neighborhood we saw many deer, wild turkeys and a heard of elk. SO AMAZING!! Warning- the stairs leading up to the bedroom is narrow and steep, good thing it was the young ones sleeping up there. Also, there is a room deodorizer in the home that can be a little strong. Due to allergies we ended up putting it outside until we left. Thank you so much for the hospitality and all of the things that were supplied in the house!! All we had to do was take our food / drink and we were set!! I would recommend this home for a getaway and time to make so many memories!!!

Great Stay

Property was as advertised and host was responsive. Perfect place for a quick getaway with the family (and dog!). The surrounding woods/trails on the property were fantastic. The kids loved watching for all the different animals that came by during the day. Would definitely stay again.

Over all the stay was excellent. Saw several types of wildlife, etc. Deer, bear, turkey chipmunks.

The stay was excellent. Was disappointed about the fire ban. No stores. Was going to cook on gas grill but was out of gas. Charcoal grill not am option because of fire ban.

Beautiful setting

My husband and I, along with our 3 kids and dog loved staying here for 3 nights in the Summer. Sitting on the front porch is so peaceful looking at the trees and the mountain range in the distance. There’s a trail we hiked right next to the house which was nice! We saw bear prints one morning on our car, I saw what I believe was a cougar, we saw lots of deer too. The house was clean and the owner is very nice. It’s located on a dirt/gravel road about 10 minutes from the main road (I forget the name). We would definitely stay here again!

Snowmegedan

We had a blast but did not head the warning of 4x4 and had to buy snowchains. With them we didn't have a problem. The last day it snowed a to. Our kids played on the hillside and sled every day, the deer greated us every morning, and we made stores by the fire in the snow!

Cozy cabin

Overall very good experience. The location is absolutely breathtaking. Quiet, comfortable, and great views. It was nice to wake up to birds chirping and watching deer pass right by the cabin. Water was always hot and WiFi worked good. The loft area is perfect for kids, the retro PlayStation was awesome. Only negative thing is hauling our trash so far, but that wouldn’t keep us from staying here again. Thanks for a great stay!

Angel Fire Weekend

My family and I did liked the house. The bed rooms down stairs was nice. My 2 grand kids enjoyed the loft. We did see a lot of wild life in your property (deer, chipmunks, rabbits and turkeys) which we enjoyed and took pictures. We did have a hard time finding the house especially driving at night. I think god was watching over us cause my daughter was having a heart attack (almost). We did spend time a Eagle Nest lake which was fun. One thing I found hard was trying to find a location for the trash. One day we took it with us and found a bin going down the hill. It would be nice to have a trash bin not so far. Otherwise we did enjoy our stay. Thank you! Theresa

One day when we get old
And it’s time to retire,
To live in New Mexico
Is what we desire

Our own little cabin in the mountains
What a blessing and a treat
Nothing big or extravagant
Just simple and sweet

Skiing, sledding and snowboarding
Are fun during the winter
Enjoy a snowmobile ride too
The Brewery is always open for dinner

Everything is brand new in the Spring
There’s newborn babies everywhere
Playing, leaping, sleeping
And grazing without a care.

Hiking, biking and zip lining
To enjoy the summer sun
Fishing, four wheeling and white water rafting
Is amazing and fun!

For even more adventuring
Horseback riding is there
Take in all the scenery
See elk, chipmunks, maybe a bear

Just hang out at the cabin
All throughout the year
Relaxing on the porch
And gazing at the deer

The fall is so spectacular
It’s something everyone should see
Look at the trees changing colors
In the mountains is where you’ve got to be

Football and cookouts
Yummy s’mores are my fav
Take an afternoon nap
On a rainy & cloudy day

Memories are waiting to be made
With the ones we love the best
Children, grandchildren, family
And all of our special guests

None of this would be possible
Without our Lord and Savior above
To Him, we’re always thankful
For blessing us with each other & all we dreamed of

So here we come Angel Fire
We’re looking forward to making new friends
The Land of Enchantment is calling,
Where the fun never ends.
