Mountain Retreat: Fire Pit, Wraparound Deck, Grill, & Garage

Welcome to Bear Necessities Lodge, an elevated retreat perched at 9,712 feet on Agua Fria Peak, the ski mountain in Angel Fire. Our semi-secluded lodge allows guests to immerse themselves in mountain views and wildlife encounters.

Our two-story residence offers complete high-speed Wi-Fi coverage to meet the modern needs of our guests.

FIRST FLOOR:
The main floor features two bedrooms, each with a king-sized bed, nightstands, dressers, and Smart TVs. The main floor bathroom includes a combined bathtub and shower. In the living room, a wood-burning stove (free firewood provided) ensures warmth during chilly Angel Fire nights, complemented by a full-size sofa, a love seat, and a rocker for a cozy retreat. A 70-inch Smart TV adds a touch of entertainment luxury to your evenings. The kitchen and dining room are also on the first floor (see section below for details).

SECOND FLOOR:
Ascend to the top floor, where an additional king bedroom affords views of the greenbelt behind the property. The top-floor bathroom boasts a jacuzzi-style bathtub with a handheld shower massager, offering a spa-like experience. (This bathroom does not include a shower.) A loft area awaits upstairs, equipped with two twin beds for adults or kids to unwind.

BATHROOMS:
Our lodge features two full-size bathrooms, one on each floor, ensuring convenience for all guests. Bathrooms include toilet paper, washcloths/hand towels/bath towels, hair dryers, shampoo/conditioner, bath soap, lotion, and hand soap.

INFANT/TODDLER AMENITIES:
A toddler/infant pack-n-play and dining chair are available in the upstairs bedroom closet for families with little ones.

KITCHEN & DINING ROOM:
A spacious downstairs area with a dining table that seats eight (8) and additional bar seating (4) provides ample space for guests to spread out. The well-appointed kitchen has modern appliances, including an electric stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee makers, crockpot, and a comprehensive array of cooking pots, pans, and gadgets. We provide coffee, basic spices, sugar, and flour.

OUTDOOR LIVING:
Step outside onto the walk-around deck to discover mountain and wildlife views. Rocking chairs invite you to relax and soak in the breathtaking views that Angel Fire offers throughout the seasons. Enjoy grilling or smoking meat and vegetables on our pellet grill. Unwind by the fire pit, conveniently located off the front deck stairs, where up to six (6) chairs surround a Solo stove—a perfect setting to reflect on the day's adventures and observe local wildlife.

LAUNDRY ROOM:
For added convenience, a full-size washer and dryer are housed in the garage, providing the perfect solution for drying wet clothes from snow activities. We provide laundry detergent for our guests.
