Lovely holiday

The property is lovely, big spacious rooms, beautiful garden with 3 different places to sit and eat. One under cover which was very useful on the one occasion it rained. The owner was great, he even brought us some Olive oil, first of the season which was delicious. Great communication. A very useful outside shower and bathroom which is perfect after time at the beach. The beach is a 2 minute walk and we seemed to have had it to ourselves all week. A very pleasant stay and would highly recommend.

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour dans cette charmante petite demeure typiquement sicilienne, située à deux pas de la mer. Le grand jardin rempli de citronniers et d’orangers apportait une atmosphère authentique et paisible, parfaite pour se détendre. La proximité de l’Etna a rendu l’expérience encore plus unique. Et pour couronner le tout, les villes de Catane, Syracuse et Taormine, toutes proches, sont absolument à visiter : elles sont d’une beauté incroyable, riches en histoire, en culture et en charme sicilien. Gaëtano est une personne chaleureuse, toujours prêt à l’écoute de ses convives, de ses hôtes, du moment. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit à tous ceux qui cherchent une escapade authentique et dépaysante en Sicile.

Ein idyllisches Plätzchen nah am Strand

Wir hatten zu viert einen sehr schönen Urlaub mit viel Platz im schönen Casa Limoncello. Die Nähe zum Strand ist super. Für alle weiteren Aktivitäten benötigt man ein Auto. Die Betten waren gemütlich, die Ausstattung der Küche ließ keine Wünsche offen. Der Gartens wunderschön und die überdachte Terrasse ist perfekt, wenn es mal wieder heiß ist. Gaetano und auch ein befreundeter Nachbar haben sich wunderbar und unaufdringlich um das Gelände und die Katze des Hauses gekümmert. Der Kontakt war immer sehr herzlich. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

Het huis wat we gehuurd hebben was erg fijn, ruim en voldeed aan dat wat wij nodig hadden. We vernleven er met 4 volwassenen. Ieder had zo zijn haar eigen slaapkamer. De extra buitendouche en toilet was erg fijn. Net even wat meer voor 4 pers. De omgeving vam de woning vonden wij een stuk minder aangenaam. De woning opzich is afgesloten met hekken, en het wijk opzich ook. We konden het al lastig vinden, we strandden steeds bij het hek. Om daardoor te kunnen is een sleutel nodig. In de avond een blokje lopen is dus niet mogelijk. Naar het strand lopen stelt niets voor en erg fijn. Het is een rustig strand met een fijne kustlijn.

de accommodatie is prima in orde en we hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in het huis. De slaapkamers zijn ruim en de bedden goed. Het is heerlijk verblijven in de tuin waar je kunt genieten van je diner aan de buiten tafel onder de citrus bomen, wat een heerlijke plek. De broer van de eigenaresse heeft aangeboden ons een rondleiding te geven door Catania wat zeker de moeite waard was. leuke verhalen en uitleg over de stad en zijn geschiedenis. Zeer vriendelijk ontvangst waar flessen water, cola en wijn voor je klaar staan. Ook in de simpele badkamer was alles aanwezig zoals zeep, shampoo en alles wat je nodig hebt. Als je naar Sicilië wilt is dit zeker een aan te locatie met het strand op 100 meter en mooie steden redelijk in de buurt, als je een auto hebt.

We very much enjoyed our stay at casa limoncello (end april - early May 2017)! With the easy directions received from the owners it was easy to find. The welcome was very friendly by one of the owners and his wife. The house has 3 large and nice bedrooms, so in our case enough space (2 couples and 1 kid). The kitchen and bathroom have everything you need. The garden is great, with lemon trees and our little one was quite happy in a little tub we filled up with water. There were quite some musquito's outside, not sure it might have been the season, but take some repellent just in case. There were already some kids toys and also some bikes available (we didn't use though). In addition there is a bbq, a dishwasher and a washing machine. The sea is nearby but we liked Giardini Naxos better as it has also some restaurants, ice-cream places etc. We did some great trips to nearby cities (Taormina, Siracuse, Noto, Etna, Catania..) - each has their own character and with amazing history and great food they are all very nice to go see. We found for these visits that the house is perfectly located. The owner and his wife even took us for a tour in Catania (thanks again!!) and came directly when we had a little incident with a key. Weather-wise early May is a great time, we had 25 - 28 degrees, some wind, really perfect. Driving in Sicilia is a bit different and the parking can be challenging - we always looked on internet where would be good to park, quite many cities have some big parkings located just before the city which is convenient. The supermarket we used was in Lentini so about 15 mins drive, it is a big one that has all you need.

Mooi huis met ruime slaapkamers en een prachtige grote tuin eromheen. Tot groot genoegen van onze kinderen was er wat kinderspeelgoed aanwezig (een glijbaantje, loopwagens en strand speeltjes). Een auto is echt noodzakelijk als je ook dagjes uit wilt vanuit deze locatie. Het is echter wel een uitdaging om een grote auto bij het huisje te parkeren en er weer uit te rijden. Als je een auto hebt is het een goede locatie voor uitstapjes naar o.a. Taormina, Etna, Siracusa en Noto, dezen liggen op ongeveer een uur of minder rijden. De WIFI in het huis werkte goed en onze vragen, ook via e-mail, werden dezelfde dag nog door de eigenaar beantwoord.

Prima vakantiehuis met 3 zeer ruime slaapkamers en een gezamenlijke keuken/eetkamer/zitkamer. Huisje is zeer geschikt voor gezinnen met (jonge) kinderen als voor drie stellen. Zeer gastvrij ontvangst, gevulde koelkast en op eigen inititief van eigenaren kinderbedje, kinderstoel en speelgoed geplaatst voor onze 2 jarige zoon (zonder bij te hoeven betalen). Strand (bijna privé) op 2 min lopen en veel bezienswaardige steden op minder dan een uur rijden. Prachtige tuin waar je graag in wil zitten. Ook bij inleveren sleutel een zeer prettig afscheid met één van de eigenaren. (Mille grazie Gaetano)

We were very satisfied, very helpful owner who helped us in trouble - lost luggage, late arrival at the venue due to a delayed flight, etc. Quiet location close to the sea, large sandy beach, a garden in the shade of the lemon, safe parking, comfortable accommodation, friendly neighbors . Convenient location for excursions - Etna, Taormina, Syracuss ....OK

Sicilie is een fantastisch eiland en Casa Limoncello een prima uitvalsbasis om de oostkust te verkennen, gelegen vlak onder Catania en tussen Siracusa en Taormina. Het huis staat in een 'wijk' met vakantiewoningen, afgesloten door een poort en aan het einde van de straat loop je zo je eigen strand op, met uitzicht op de Etna. Wij zijn begin mei gegaan en wat ons betreft een ideale periode met alles groen en in bloei en met 25-28 graden nog niet te heet. Het huis heeft alles wat je nodig hebt, met 3 slaapkamers en een goed uitgeruste keuken en een prachtige tuin met buitentafel, bbq pit, etc. en sinaasappel-, vijgen- en citroenbomen vol met fruit. Verwacht in het huis geen luxe, maar wel Italiaanse charme. De gastheren en broers Daniele en Gaetano zorgen prima voor hun gasten.
