Enjoy an authentic lake living experience in the quiet Jimmies Creek on Lake Gaston. Great Location! Located 15 min. from grocery store and other amenities, this three bedroom, two bath home, with private dock and large, open yard offers plenty of space to enjoy lake living to the fullest! The spacious back deck is great for grilling & dinner by the lake. Deep water off the end of boat dock allows for easy docking of all water-craft. Easy entrance to shallow water from shoreline also gives easy water access for wading. Guests have full use of boat house and lake toys in the boat house as well as all kitchen appliances and washer/dryer. Guests are also able to have full use of the boat lift during the summer rental season (Ask for details and availability).
*NO PETS and NO SMOKING property.

*NOTE: Bed linens and bath towels are not provided.

30 & 50 amp RV hookup available - Ask owner for more information and rates.

Sleeps 7 comfortably (1 King, 1 Queen, 1 Bunk Bed(Full bottom & Twin top)). Large sectional sofa provides additional sleep space if needed.

House of Joy

We had a wonderful stay here. The house is nice and suited our needs. My family loved being on the dock where they swam and fished. Floats are provided as well as a paddle boat. The back porch is covered and was a lovely place to hang out. The kitchen is well stocked with just about everything you need. We enjoyed ourselves immensely! Thank you!

Good night fishing, but the home needs some work

This was our third time staying at House of Joy. We stayed somewhere else last year, but stayed the two years prior to that. We like the dock, swimming, and our son caught some nice cat fish off the dock at night. The location is good and we love the large parking area. The house seems as if the owners just haven't done much upkeep or replaced things. The furniture is not very comfotable. The only place to sit in the living room is an uncomfortable sectional sofa. The queen mattress rolled my husband and I to the middle. There were ants in the bathroom. (The property manager did bring us ant traps, but they didn't work) The grass needed mowing, we had to contact them twice to get that mowed. They had put in a new septic tank, but the yard was not smoothed out and it was really rough in places. Boards had been replaced spartically on the dock instead of replacing the whole thing. The kitchen was not nearly as stocked with dishes, pots and pans and things as when we first stayed there. The toaster oven in the kitchen needs to be replaced or removed (it takes an eternity to toast). I am disabled so unfotunately I spend more time in the house or on the porch. The furniture on the back porch needs to be replaced with something more comfortable. We had a good time and enjoyed our week there. If you and your family spend all your time outside, this may be a great house for you. Lots of turtles, birds, otters and the scenery is great. We really like that it's in a quiet cove.

Quiet get away

Our family of 3 generations had a nice vacation. Wifi was strong enough to stream on devices. The house was a good fit for two kids, two parents and two grandparents. My son was able to fish off the dock. One note: check the breeding times of the fish in the lake if possible. They are less likely to bite when it’s that time.

Memorial Day weekend

This property was fantastic!! The owner was most helpful throughout the process and always answered any questions I had. This property is well stocked to enjoy time in and around the water with flotation devices, life jackets, fishing equipment beach chairs and anything you would need. Evenings were enjoyable with the fire pit!! We made s’mores! We took our boat and the boat ramp was very close by. You just need to take your towels, sheets, clothes and food!! We had a wonderful time and look forward to renting it again in the future. I highly recommend staying at The House of Joy!! The name says it all!!

Relax and Enjoy the View.

From the moment you pull into the driveway, you just know you're going to be able to relax and enjoy the lake. The home is nicely decorated, the mattresses comfy, and the short (not too steep) walk down to the dock makes it one of our favorite lake rentals that is offered by VRBO.

I've been renting around lake gaston for years. Now that our kids are grown, we were looking for a nice clean space that has a good lake location and private. This home did not disappoint. Look forward to more opportunities with the renters.
