Private and peaceful, this cozy cabin is located in boreal forest at the end of a private road close to Fairbanks. You will enjoy exclusive use of this retreat during your stay. The hooting of a great horned owl on the mountain behind the house is only rarely disturbed by the distant moan of the locomotive winding through the valley below. The property that this cabin and the main house sits on feels remote even though it is less than 15 minutes from shopping and Fairbanks International Airport.

Dan and Clarity were amazing hosts and easy to communicate with! The cabin was perfect us as it was far enough outside of town to be nice and peaceful, but close enough for all of our outings, and it was also close to Murphy Dome which was an amazing spot for viewing the aurora on cloudless nights!
We celebrated our 30th anniversary with a trip to Alaska. This cabin was the perfect remote location we were looking for! Hosts were quick to respond to questions and go above and beyond to make guests feel relaxed and comfortable.
Dan was so easy to work with; loved the little house, perfect for a 1 or 2-night stay (we only could work in a 1-overnighter); clean, easy to access, enjoyed our stay very much; highly recommend!
Loved this little place! It was away from the city but not far. Super cute place. Loved the little squirrel that would come and visit us every morning. This place would’ve been perfect to see the northern lights except we had a lot of rain in clouds while we were there. Not to worry. It’s the perfect cabin that makes you feel right at home. We would definitely stay here again. Dan and Clarity were great.
Very cute cottage with all the amenities one needs fresh eggs and food items stocked in the kitchen. Owner was very friendly . One of my best experiences with VRBO. Highly recommend this place. So much to see in the surrounding area.
Can’t say enough good things about this little place. Communication was effortless, and the place was exactly like the photos. Charming, convenient and close to everything. Absolutely spotless. We just regret we weren’t able to stay longer. We were just in town for the evening, but we did get to see a stunning display of the aurora borealis. Just up the hill from the cabin. Definitely would love to come and stay here again! Thanks guys!
Secluded, cozy and quiet. Beautiful setting. The cabin was very clean. Fresh chicken and quail eggs to enjoy for breakfast. I highly recommend this cabin.
We wanted to be out of the city. This little cabin was perfect! It’s also a bed and breakfast so the cabin is stocked with all kinds of food including snacks and soups. The quail eggs were the best! The decor as in furs and antlers and paintings are all from local artists and hunters and are available for purchase. Everything was beautiful comfy and warm.

Loved the remote feel, but that it was only 10min from town. Also, the homestead/cabin feel with farm fresh eggs and other items for breakfast along with a well- equipped kitchen for personal cooking. Games, books, movies, and a fully functional bathroom. Very cozy, welcoming, and extremely clean!
Yes, that’s what you will hear…nothing and it’s great. Very tidy cabin and great breakfast fixings for you to create your own breakfast. Right down the road and conveniently located near Running Reindeer Ranch. Thank you Clarity &Dan for your hospitality.
We visited Fairbanks in mid-April to see the Aurora Borealis and the Denali National Park, and wanted a rustic cabin just outside of town that gave us dark night skies and the tranquility of the wilderness. This cozy, well-kept property met our hopes perfectly.
Dan and his family were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, giving us travel tips and helping us when our car became stuck in the snow. The cabin was well-equipped with all of the necessary conveniences, including a well-stocked kitchen (lots of fresh eggs from their flock) we used daily. Although the temperatures fell below 10 degrees at night, ample blankets and an oil stove kept us comfortable. Wi-fi reception was very good, as was the hot shower.
It was difficult to leave after such a peaceful, relaxing time. We will be recommending this property to all of our friends and family, and will definitely be staying here the next time we are in Fairbanks.
We arrived at the cabin and found it just as described. It had everything we needed. We were a little concerned as while we were unloading, the mosquitoes were swarming, but that was the only time they were bad. I sat on the deck the next morning drinking coffee and did not see a mosquito. There were a few around in the evening but they were not bad.
There were fresh eggs and bread and milk in the refrigerator and fresh fruit on the table. It was great for breakfast each morning.
The cabin was a very great place for us as we explored the Fairbanks area. We were pleasantly surprised.
The hosts answered our questions and were a good source of information. Very hospitable but only when we needed them, not imposing.
If we make it back to Fairbanks we will check to see if the cabin is available again.
We flew in late to Fairbanks International arriving at 2am from Seattle. Due to our arrival time, the car rental companies were all closed, but a short 20 min cab ride to our warm cabin was amazing after traveling almost 24 hours. We were exhausted and ready to get some much needed rest.
We slept a few hours and then were able to make a great breakfast and hot coffee from the fresh ingredients provided by Dan and Clarity. The cabin has many items available to help with the costs of staying in a VRBO.
During our stay we visited Castner Ice Cave, Denali, Chena Hot Springs, drove the Dalton to the Arctic Circle and we day the Aurora! We unfortunately had a lot of cloudy weather near the cabin during our stay so we didn't get to see it from there, but our view was gorgeous nevertheless! It snowed several days, too. We were warm and cozy and appreciated the heated mattress pad!
I didn't get to personally meet either of our hosts, but my husband did and he said they were very gracious and kind. All of my communication with them from before booking until we checked out has been excellent! Zero complaints! I would absolutely come back to this cabin again without hesitation.
We stayed 9 nights total and there was nothing that we needed other than laundry facilities. We went to town and in an hour had our laundry done at Fairbanks Laundry. This cabin has its water brought in by tanker, which I was aware of, many cabins around the area are dry cabins.
