Ideally situated on the banks of Upper Lough Erne and with direct access to the Shannon-Erne Waterway, Foalies Bridge, offers the holiday maker a peaceful, quiet and relaxing stay with all the benefits of being located close to the waters edge. The dormer bungalow is newly built and fitted out to a very high spec level. The bungalow has four bedrooms, two en-suite and a third bathroom. It has a large landing upstairs offering fabulous views of the surrounding Geopark and wetlands. The house comes equipped with most modern mod cons including coffee machine, Wi-Fi and a smart TV. Also importantly the bungalow is wheel chair friendly (downstairs). The estate itself is only 3 miles from the town of Belturbet, well known for its fishing and water sports such as rowing and kayaking. Belturbet itself and Foalies Bridge are situated in the only International Geopark with protected wildlife sanctuaries offering the visitor many varied walks and wildlife spotting opportunities. Nearby well known amenities in the vicinity are the Slieve Russell Championship golf course, the Scouts centre at Castle Saunderson, the Belturbet parkland golf course, Crom Estate, the Marble Arch Caves, Florence Court, the Cavan Burren, Breffni Park, St Tiernach's Park and the Shannon Erne Waterway.

It says on the website that the town hall is 5 min walk away but the house is 5 kilometres away so that needs adjusting...the only other thing was the fridge was not working properly...sometimes cold other times not...It was a wonderful stay beautiful location and very quiet...we enjoyed it very much
We enjoyed our stay very much. Staff very kind , allowed us into property very early after long journey and severe heat of the day. We were all very old and had mobility issues. The house suited needs with one exception. The ground floor bathroom (over bath shower) not very useable for disabled clients.
I needed a place to relax and recharge, and this was perfect! The house is spacious, comfortable, and in a quiet gated estate with views of the lake. There is a good sized fenced backyard with tables and a grill, and the backyard was a quiet haven for my morning coffee.
Kevin and Charmain are lovely hosts, very responsive and friendly, and willing to help with questions and suggestions. I look forward to my next visit!
We had a great time staying at this residence. We found out that the appliances, heat and hot water systems are nowhere near to what we are used to at home. That in itself was an adventure!! Nevertheless, the house is beautiful, roomy and in the countryside. (All 5 of us are country folk). Kevin was quick to come to our rescue when we couldn’t figure something out and we appreciated it very much.
Small summary of our holiday.... nothing to complain about , owner Kevin was extremely responsive and quick not to mention very reasonable . The property is very quiet and tranquil ideally to escape from all busy and hectic situations of everyday life. Getting to the house is quite tricky and gps would definitely help ... a small issue about the property is that a good supermarket is 35 minute drive but a convenient store is close by but as said you wont find everything there ....any other then that 2 thumbs up.... would definitely recommend
Property was spacious and perfect for our needs. The bungalow was clean with everything to make our stay a comfortable 'home from home'. Kevin was a smashing host and couldn't have been more helpful.
Had no problems renting property. Found all concerned helpful .

Christina and friends spent a few days here at our holiday cottage in Belturbet and the shores of Upper Lough Erne. They are very friendly, punctual and respectful. They looked after our holiday cottage very well and we would love to welcome them back again.
Foalies Bridge in Belturbet Co. Cavan, is an excellent place to stay. Kevin & Charmain were fantastic hosts and couldn’t do enough for you, the house was superb, very spacious and well equipped with all the mod cons. The house was clean and well maintained. The surrounding area was beautiful and very tranquil, with views over the lake and beyond. The location was pretty central and nowhere was to far a drive ie: Enniskillen, Belleek, Bundoran etc... all within a short drive away. Would highly recommend Foalies Bridge to anyone wishing to enjoy this beautiful lakeside holiday.
